What a treat this recent live concert video is for us aging Baby Boomers. Looking back, we grew up in the briefest, best variety of music of all time. So thankful. Glad you posted this for us elders to smile and enjoy 🌞
I can't believe this song is 30 years old. To me, it's "new" Neil Young. Hearing Stephen Stills playing along is great, and the backup singers look and sound beautiful. Hearing this live on a warm October day in California must have been heavenly. THANK YOU for sharing.
Few know of Stephen Stills struggle with hearing loss, yet he wrote and performed with Neil Young some of the greatest songs ever written. The Harvest Moon CD is a perfect 10!!!
Neil has such a tender loving voice. Never realized it cause I've always focused on his hard rock guitar and huge amps. Saw him first in 1966 with the Buffalo Springfield. God bless you Neil.
All my life of 68 years...I've loved these men to pieces since 1966. It's been a long ride and one that will never come again...I'm grateful and sad for those that never had the chance.
I love this song so much, Neil sounds wonderful, his voice hasn’t aged at all. This is one of my favorite NY songs. I remember distinctly when I first heard Harvest Moon, we were on vacation, me, hubby, our kids, both of my parents and 3 nieces & we went into the gift shop and my ears perked up! They were playing Neil Young and it was new, I asked the salesgirl what album it was and as soon as we got home, I got the album. Also the video that Neil made, with the hip little place, with him dancing with Pegi, reminds me of how I met my husband, he came into the tiny hippie restaurant where I worked to watch me float across the floor.❤
I’ve been fortunate to get to listen to these guys in various bands, as well as solo, since I was a kid. Now at 71 it’s a blessing to still get to listen to them and hear them sound so great.
Pay attention youngsters, I think if everyone across the planet could hear this man spin this song, it would put a smile on a huge percentage of of our beloved earth. 60’s/70’s the era/music with the most magical and spiritual connections, with ourselves and shared with others loved . Beautiful for the 40,000 time Neil
I never grow tired of Neil Young’s very clever guitar tunings, his simple songs and his amazing vocals and harmonica solos. Steven and Neil are amazing artists who have been instilling their music into my 50 years of great experiences, memories and listening pleasure.
doing this live concert helps the performers stay YOUNG. Hold the loving vibration, the generosity, the ability to express the love & the talent, help others to do the same. This is what it's all about. This particular song is a TEN.
Did I miss it Stephen Phillips and Neil Young up back together again for us old people it doesn't matter I love you folks I grew up with you bless all of you
This is the kind of magic that only legends can create! Seeing Neil Young and Stephen Stills together again is pure gold-such an incredible setlist, especially with classics like 'Harvest Moon' and 'For What It’s Worth.' 🎶 The addition of John Mayer and Lily Meola makes it even more special. What a perfect celebration at the Harvest Moon Festival! 🌕✨ Long may they run! #HarvestMoonFestival #LegendaryMusic
As a 73 year old Brit I love this period of music and the artists, many a little bit older than me. The time of Laurel Canyon was the equivalent of Camelot and the Round Table. Mama Cass and David Crosby and Peter Tork and Neil Young were all equals.
Wow didn’t know they were playing out there - what a treat to see Neil Young live. 🎸Wow! Thanks for sharing. Peace all and Veterans For Kamala 🇺🇸🎖️🗳️🙏🏾✨
Wow great day of music with lots of like minded Individuals, seems kinda rare these days at large gathering. Met a couple who traveled by rail from Canada to be there. 2nd couple flew in from Philly and a 3rd couple came from Mexico City. Me, just a short distance from local Littlerock. Love these cats along time! Rock on!
Will always remember seeing Neil and the band in the Live Rust movie, midnight show with my buddies 1979? and experience enhancement via these little tabs of paper with a picture of Mickey Mouse as a wizard. You put this tab under your tongue and poof, 45 minutes later everything was magical lol. Neil appeared to me as a Shaman with these little munchkins running around him in the dark. The music was vibrating through my soul. I lost track of time or any concerns I could have possibly had at the time. A single experience imprinted on me forever.
Late sixties in the SF bay area. Fillmore West, Carousel Ballroom, Avalon Ballroom.... Then worked for PSA (Pacific SW Airlines) And drove limousine, where I met several people like Linda Ronstadt, Neil Young, Dan Hicks&Hot licks, all Jefferson Airplain. (Bassist was my neighbor for a while in Hayward. Etc etc etc..... Great time period.
Wonderful personal history. Time and place mean so much to our individual history and you were indeed fortunate. I had similar experiences in Southern California.
I've lived at the right time. I got to listen to Neil Young and Steve Stills all my life. Lucky, lucky me.
Right there with you!!! So great to see the younger band members embrace these two outstanding musicians.... Long May They Run!
As have I. Big smiles.
Me too.
Same here. I’m 71
me too iam 79.🙏💞

so true
So true. I feel that all of us baby boomers grew up during the most magical time in this country.
25 years as the golden age of RnR, 1955-1980, is not a brief period for creatures that die at 75!!
@kevinmcconnell3641 Ha - I see your angle on "brief," but for me, it was the 25 years 1963 - 1988...
As someone from back then, I disagree, we are in the best of times now, but....also the worst of times. Just my opinion.
As an 81 y/o man, I feel fortunate beyond expression for all the great music I have been accorded.
@@majortom8047 I’m a 78 year old woman and I feel just as fortunate as you👍
agree 100%
Yep. 80!
Soundtrack to our lives ...the best
yes 80 in a month and I’ve been listening to this fine music maker for decades ❤
Enjoy them while they are still with us. Once they are gone, no one is coming to replace what they gave us.
Sim, insubstituíveis
so right
Ain’t that the truth!
Yes, you are right.
Unfortunately true.
To see this makes me very happy. Neil looks incredibly healthy. Long may you run. Great to see Stephen. Buffalo Springfield always.

No matter how many times I hear this song, it brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for this wonderful song.
Tearing here too. Brings back simpler times.
Me too Cindy ;)
OMG, tears and many a goose bump!!
At 80 I still love his voice! Thanks Mr ''Forever' Young!! ♡♡♡
Very few singers (78 years old) can sing that similar to when they were 20 years old. Remarkable.
I love them from my childhood! Now I am 71 old!
My very favorite Neil Young song and he still made it sound wonderful. So glad he is still with us. Thanks for posting.
Thankful to still be able to listen to you live in 2024!❤❤❤
Mais David Crosby e Graham Nash. Gênios.
I never grow tired of Neil Young’s very clever guitar tunings, his simple songs and his amazing vocals and harmonica solos. He’s a one man band.
Whimsical and sweet. On this harvest moon. 🌙

❤❤❤
My gosh. His voice is just so unique. Makes me tear up with the nostalgia of younger love realized in older lovers.
When I hear this, my tears come to my eyes, and it makes me happy.....so lucky to be alive in this time to still see these guys...❤❤
Steve Stills is so good ---he doesn't over-play but just plays tasty pretty little sounds that compliment what's happening---great job.
Nice catch, Awesome! Its hard to see us all get old, thank you for making music, steven and Neil, thank you! 🎸⚘✌
I’ve been fortunate to get to listen to these guys in various bands, as well as solo, since I was a kid. Now at 71 it’s a blessing to still get to listen to them and hear them sound so great.
My daughter works at the Painted Turtle and was a camper too ! bless this place !
"We've had our ups and downs, but we're still playing together." Such a great quote!!

@@jcx5659 I agree with you but these guys are legends to me.
@@dsimon123 To me also. I just don't see Stephen Stills. Is he there?
As a 73 year old Brit I love this period of music and the artists, many a little bit older than me. The time of Laurel Canyon was the equivalent of Camelot and the Round Table. Mama Cass and David Crosby and Peter Tork and Neil Young were all equals.
Would have loved to have been there to see these two legends.
One of my favourite songs from Neil.
Just hearing his voice has brought me to tears.
Loved listening to Crosby Stills Nash & Young back in my hippie G.I. days during the Vietnam era. Neil Young can still jam give a great performance.
Lovely. Still got it.
To all music lovers everywhere: "Keep on Rockin' in The Free World..." 🎸🎤🥁🎹
I saw Lucinda the other night and she played "Keep on rockin" with full passion! Crushed it!!!
Neil brings all the best memories from my life to the forefront. For this alone I love him, but there are too many more reasons to list here.
Love to see and hear this! Thank you

Very lucky for Neil that his bass player noticed him tuning to Dsharp instead of open D. Would have sounded very different otherwise.😃
Class stuff.
Thank you for the great memories
Amazing, wish I could have been there. Have seen CSNY many times.
Love this man! Neil Young rocks! We missed him in Denver!
Legendary players, I wish Nash could have been there, his harmonies are top notch
Great talented individuals! Love them both! ❤️
National treasure right there!
little bit younger, but when I discovered music, they were there

Very Good my friend, Well worth a thumbs up.🪗🪗🪗Mick.
Neil looks like he was working on his house maybe painting and they asked him if he come over and play a song or two. Haha.
My God is life sweet. For us all… under this harvest moon. 🌙
one of the most beautiful love songs......
