It's amazing to see that a rock'n roll star like Neil Young can be so trully, an excelent companion, on stage, to a young rock performer and composer as the adorable Norah Jones.
Damn, she's got such a sultry voice. I could listen to Norah all day long. For her to cover Uncle Neil is a great tribute. Having him just hang bang and let her lead the performance is so "Neil" of him. That's why he's such a badass. He's the rough in a diamond!
Down here,in Brazil,up there in the States..WHEREVER YOU ARE Mr YOUNG....IT'S pure privilege to be allowed to listen to you. ALL HATS OFF 🎩🎩🎩🧢🧢🧢🎓🎓🎓🎓⛑⛑⛑
If I could only take one video with me into the darkness I would choose this one. It is a gem of collaboration and an incredibly timeless song . Other stuff may be fantastic but nothing reaches the heights achieved in this simple arrangement.. Thank you Neil and Norah and the girls in the band. Pure, pure bliss
What a great performance! Neil is so cool. Doesn't barge in and take over. Just lays down some of his amazing patented simple great guitar work in support. This is what music is all about right here. Wish the video was better, but the sound is awesome! Beautifully done!
The genius that is Neil Young. Understated as always, so laid back. Seen him many times, never disappointed. The longevity of this man's eclectic career just is amazing.
It was at the bridge school concert. Last one held in 2016. I was there for this. ALWAYS an incredible show. Heart breaking that this yearly concert has come to an end!
Wow! NJ sings and plays beautifully. And NY rips that little guitar. Gifted people like that sharing their gifts are a true blessing for everyone who is fortunate enough to share it. Namaste
Bad video, bad audio, and I'm still digging this in 2020. Two of my all time greatest artists. Plus their very talented and beautiful band.Neil was such a gentleman here. Plus the whole concert is all about the kids. Yup. Still here.
Neil Young Fan . Been revisiting this version for a few years. Love her interpretation. Awesome that I feel his writing intended 3 decades later. Well done.
Please don't even talk about the video. It's about the music, the beautiful interaction between a legend and a soon to be legend. Norah has such incredible respect for those who came before. I love watching her play with the stars of the industry. She is beautiful in so many ways and Neil was better than ever. This is a classic. Thank you for posting!
Neil's playing is seldom showcased, and he's a credit to Canada, and the world. Norah is so natural, unforced, fine musician without any bullshit. This jam is worthy of the Grateful Dead on their best night.
WOAH..... just awesome! Of course to listen to Neil but Norah I can listen to all night long! Nice soul and a legend in her own time now! What a treat! Thanks for the video!!!!!
Saw this concert at the Bridge School Benefit #28. Missing this benefit concert...Fabulous concert by the way! OMGosh! Went two nights in a row this year. Happy for him he's moved on, sorry for the rest of us out there! giggle...
I love how at 1:52 its like Miss Norah Jones has perfect sense of where this camera is shooting from and spots herself perfectly at just the right time to be in the shot with her and Neil....such a perfectly captured moment and I myself am grateful for this footage and for both of these artists individually...this moment of them sharing the stage is simply inspirational....I love Mr. Young's solo...that's how u solo to a song that u urself wrote years and years ago...truly a showcase of his talent and individuality...thank you and I hope everyone enjoys as much as I do watching this ! 😁 Peace and love from Louisville, KY, USA
I probably listened to "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" more than any other album ever, and this song was its cornerstone. And like - Norah Jones wasn't even born at the time! What a treat to come across this video! Thanks for posting.
I agree, I wore that sucker out. Still have the original vinyl. I cannot count the times I have seen Neil Young live. Solo, International Harvesters with Merle Haggard (countrified version of this song is awesome). CSN&Y (he made those guys look like rookies) except Stills whose talent has always been unappreciated. Then again, how do you compete with the true genius of Neil Young. And, of course saw him many times with Crazy Horse. His best concerts have always been with them IMHO.
Neil is the most unpretentious guy and wears it well. I don't think he has ever given a fuck about how he looks or dresses. He's got the talent and plenty of fans. I love to listen to him.
I’d give anything to be that old guy with the hat who strolled on to solo and do backing vocals for the gorgeous and multitalented Norah Jones! Lucky old bastard😁👍👍
How blessed are we that see and hear this. It just doesn't get any better than this....thank you everyone involved......such beautiful artistry brings tears to my eyes
I love how Norah Jones is the daughter of an absolute legend, so all the other absolute legends like to perform with her, but then she is so brilliant that they are all really happy to do it.
Ridiculous. They want to perform with Nora because of her amazing voice that is comparable to none. Ravi's "Music" is nothing short of sounds I might pick my nose to.
When Neil Young comes on stage with anybody, he blows them all away. Nobody can compete with his dynamic guitar or voice, period! Just ask Bruce and Clarance!
Saw Neil Young in concert a couple years ago, best concert ever, would have been an all nighter if he wasn't kicked off the stage. The man would not stop playing, could tell how much he loved his music. He got fined for playing beyond the time frame but he didn't care, he was angry that he was stopped. Have loved his music since he began his career, can't beat that guitar sound.
OMG...before RUclips I missed so much...Norah Jones and Neil Young....I wasn't there, but I felt like I could have been...this was a beautiful performance...at the speed of intimacy...you can enjoy every note and every word!!
What can I say, Neil Young, Consumate artist, song writer, guitar player, harmonica player player, has stood the test of time, for me in my humble opinion, one of the best artists of all times, in all genres o0f music
Me too! Pure genius in his "Mynah Adagios for Hyperbole"... and the brilliant "Canadian Funk Out for Hippies in a Three Piece Suit" vol 1 with Rick James.

Love Norah not just for her beautiful voice, but because she is all about the music. She is one of the few (along with John Mayer, Derrick Trucks, Warren Haynes) that will carry our generation of music into the next. Beyond great.
Somehow Neil made a commitment to himself when he was young (good pun) that he would carry his spirit in his music and give it as freely as he could for as long as he could. What a job and what a life we have all shared with him. Thank you Neil and thank you Norah.

Not only is Norah one of the best singers on the planet she has exquisite song taste.
True
Happy 10 year anniversary for this one! Such a very good one.

Neil Young's mastery of the guitar is astounding producing hugely satisfying music.
Wait...what?
Hey, what about Nora ?
@@pegsutton8438 My head was stuck my arse that day
I've been a Neil Young fan all my life. I'm 68 years old. Norah Jones is a lot like Neil, she carved out a niche for herself and stays true to it.
Absolute fact!
Love em both! 👌

Two legends.
I’m 60. First album bought: Harvest. Nora makes the best, better!
I’m 76 years young and loving this rendition of this classic tune. Been down by this river with Neil many times and Norah makes it so sweet. Timeless…

As a teen I thought that album was one of the best there ever was. Still is. And what a great job of it Norah & her band did with him. They kept up!
I have not yet seen it, but because of your commentary I will.
She never blows a cover. Always brings something. Amazing talent.
Well, the Bridge School got a double blessing ❗️I am glad someone could share their handcam with us. Neil was understated and mesmerizing
So happy I HAPPENED upon this video, all this quarantining, has me all cooped up! I love Neil Young, and adore Norah Jones! Awesome!

Neil's guitar work undiminished as acoustic on this song.....plays and listens well with others! TY for posting this.
The great thing that all aspiring guitarists should learn from Neil is that the gaps between the notes are as important as the notes he plays.
WOAH..... just awesome! Of course to listen to Neil but Norah I can listen to all night long! Nice soul and a legend in her own time now! What a treat! Thanks for the video!!!!!
Incredible to see the 2 natural, eclectic, Virtuoso's of our times. Bravo! Bella, Bella!
The greatness of Neil Young shines here. Comes out, plays awesome guitar, and then sings backing vocals on one of his greatest songs!

Norah Jones is great but Neil Young is a master of music. Great video! Gave me, an old fogey, chills.
I'm sorry if it's wrong, but I'm flat out, stoned cold in love with Norah. I've loved Neil since 1969, so awesome.
A great moment of music. Nora Jones is a amazing singer and Neil Young a extraordinary guitarist. Thanks

Regis :It’s more sad that his wife died right after he left her knowing she had cancer. I used to love Neil , not so much anymore.
I was at this concert. It was great then and listening to it again brings back all sorts of memories (and tears).
I love how Nora barely took her eyes off Neil's hands throughout his entire solo. Can't say I would have either.
