_lyrics_ I wanna miss you lonely as a desert sand Sparkle like a star, stranger in a faraway land Pockets tie his hands up, feet stuck right where he stands Divide grows wide 'tween work and the wants of a man One hand holds the post, the other a steering wheel On one hand it is his curse, on the other it's what it's real I shine bright, like the wide, wide world When you're STANDING ON THE MOON She could be just any girl Your hands are tied, but your heart is free If you learn to cut the rope Please make your way to me I wanna show you lover take my hand You can find satisfaction being a one woman man I wanna love you, I don't know where I stand Between your heart, the road, and all of the needs of a man One hand holds the post, the other a steering wheel On one hand it is his curse, on the other it's what it's real I shine bright, like the wide, wide world When you're STANDING ON THE MOON She could be just any girl Your hands are tied, but your heart is free If you learn to cut the rope Please make your way to me When you hang your hat on her hook Will you hang your head in shame When you say that it's impossible Are you just running away From the thing that kept you tied down The thing that keeps your feet on the ground I shine bright, like the wide, wide world When you're STANDING ON THE MOON She could be just any girl Your hands are tied, but your heart is free If you learn to cut the rope Please make your way to me If you learn to cut the rope Please make your way to me
Amazing version of this great, great, great song. Lera is a marvelous songwriter. Her voice is gorgeous, whether whispering or rocking it out. She is a truly excellent guitarist. For just about five years now, Lera Lynn has been enriching my life with her passion, her integrity, her massive talent; yes, she is beautiful, too. Many years of success to you, Lera; God bless you and thank you.
This song and most of her songs are sou touching. This one especially. Right after the first chords I can feel my eyes already watering. Such a strong emotion.
There is just something about Lera that puts a smile on your face when you hear her sing. She also reminds me alot of Hope Sandoval from Mazzy Star, the same angelic singing style and beauty to match.
I first heard Lera on May 12, 2012 at The Fox Theatre | Atlanta, GA. It was Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion playing that night. I had to find out more about her and later found the CD, Have you met Lera Lynn? Been a hard core fan ever since. Seek her shows out. She is amazing in a live show.
Lovely song and singer, thanks for the video. She's playing a Bedell guitar? Couldn't find it on their website, is it custom? Love the tone and detail on the headstock.
It's a Danelectro, google that. Pretty sure it's also a Baritone/Bass model. Usually tuned 3 or 4 notes lower than standard guitar tuning. Lera Lynn is wonderful but nice to see someone commenting on the backup man. Great tone and playing by this guy (Grange?). Anyone know his full name?
That smile at the end.
damn she got us all with that... as if the song is not enough
thank you true detective for this wonderful singer and her music
I'd play the whole gig just for that smile
I literally cannot absorb the beauty of her voice and of her. It is overwhelming
So true
Both beautiful: song and Lera Lynn!

I wanna miss you lonely as a desert sand
Sparkle like a star, stranger in a faraway land
Pockets tie his hands up, feet stuck right where he stands
Divide grows wide 'tween work and the wants of a man
One hand holds the post, the other a steering wheel
On one hand it is his curse, on the other it's what it's real
I shine bright, like the wide, wide world
When you're STANDING ON THE MOON
She could be just any girl
Your hands are tied, but your heart is free
If you learn to cut the rope
Please make your way to me
I wanna show you lover take my hand
You can find satisfaction being a one woman man
I wanna love you, I don't know where I stand
Between your heart, the road, and all of the needs of a man
One hand holds the post, the other a steering wheel
On one hand it is his curse, on the other it's what it's real
I shine bright, like the wide, wide world
When you're STANDING ON THE MOON
She could be just any girl
Your hands are tied, but your heart is free
If you learn to cut the rope
Please make your way to me
When you hang your hat on her hook
Will you hang your head in shame
When you say that it's impossible
Are you just running away
From the thing that kept you tied down
The thing that keeps your feet on the ground
I shine bright, like the wide, wide world
When you're STANDING ON THE MOON
She could be just any girl
Your hands are tied, but your heart is free
If you learn to cut the rope
Please make your way to me
If you learn to cut the rope
Please make your way to me
... an absolutely gorgeous voice ... and gorgeous singer ... I think I'm in love ...
This is definitely the best version of this song because of the dude on e guitar, always loved that western guitar sound reminds me of Jr. Brown.
great smile at the end. beautiful song.
Wish she would smile at me like that !!

The dude on guitar is a nashville session musician and he makes this song amazing
wow! as this song progresses- the energy flowing between those two is ethereal- damn.
Beautiful, how you play together!
After discovering Heather Nova in the 90s, we now love Lera Lynn!!! So much talent!

Amazing!
I don't usually listen to anything other than electronic music which rarely has any vocals, but oh boy do I love Lera Lynn
amazing
This is beautiful I'm a new fan !❤
Quelle voix sensuelle , ça donne des frissons
Oh My God
That guitar guy compliments her awesomely. Sad that such beauty is relatively obscure. Gorgeous sultry dreamy voiced Lera, so glad I found her.
way to go Lera
Como eu amo a voz dela 💙
Grande
I think I falled in love
same
One more victim here...
A+. I hope Mr. Grange is on Lera Lynn's next tour, I would love to see/hear him play the pedal steel as an accompaniment to these songs
AVE!!! its a love, and its wonderfull!!!
Belle et talentueuse, juste comme il faut.
I want to hug Lera so bad.
excelsa.
You dear muse, inspire the art God helps me create~He made you so fine, my love...what honor it is purely, to just paint you~
Sen nasıl bir güzelliksin?
who the fuck dislikes this? Savages.
Lera's songs remind me a little of Mean Mary's songs. Similar styles to melodies and rhythms. Different, and both good.
great song...im a sucker for the minor feel. good job
You are so beautiful, lera. I love you

Joe's pub tomorrow!
That one dislike is from Colin Farrell hating that she became successful from Season 2
You are wrong mate.
how silly that lera lynn doesn't win multiple grammy awards and talentless 'singers' rack them up like pool balls.
Beyonce, Adele and gaga seem to be what most non thinking people want. Stuff that's about nothing seems to be very popular.
couldn't agree more. this woman is an angel in human form. her music is better than anything Gaga and Beyonce combined have ever done.
That's the way the real world works.
PS: and the good guys always loose
muthiş
Well those two are knocking boots...
How beatiful she is.
Er mer gersh!!!
You're a moon Lera Lynn
very beautiful girl with the voice of an angel. great smile, love to have a girl smile at me like that.

Your hands are tied, but your heart is free
