Busta rhymes old songs still on the list? His first single: “Woo-Hah!! Got You All in Check”. Is the bomb. Or “gimme some more” also crazy. Also tupac has always been the greatest with his delivery, almost every song he made you hear that he speaks from the heart.
He has so many more songs that will make you cry 1. Staring through my rearview mirror. 2. My block 3. Who do you bellive in 4. Pour out a lil liquor 5. Keep your head up 6. So many tears 7. Pacs life
an interesting thing about tupac’s music is that there were, essentially, two-pacs. he had conscious and uplifting music like Dear Mama but also the player and gangsta-type rap. He was extremely talented in doing both.
@@BayAreaSon he didn’t get with death row until he got shot 5 times, framed for a rape he didn’t commit, served nearly a year for said rape, and was betrayed by those close to him. of course he changed after he was repeatedly betrayed by black people whom he believed in. and anyway, pac was still thuggin before death row, he was on the phone with real new york gangsters and threatening them and all sorts of stuff, it just didn’t fall into his music as much until death row.
@@BayAreaSon Yep when discussing Pac you always have to break it down to the pre/post Death Row period. His most iconic songs were always considered to be pre-Death Row.
@@BayAreaSon I don't know if I would say that Tupac has his thug life album way before death row. He had street songs in his second album and me against the world. Thug life vol1 is very gangsta if you want to define it as that not to mention he recorded many "gangsta" songs before deathrow and hung around with gang members I think it's a misconception that Pac became gangsta it was just enhanced more in deathrow
0:41: In the part you are singing, that interpolates Bruce Hornsby and The Ram's "The Way It Is, "a song my father loves. (If you enjoyed that, then you might like Polo G's "Wishin For A Hero," which I like to call a "modern-day version of Changes." (he is completely aware of the Tupac comparisons)
Good reaction...but it's the Spinners, not the Commodores or Roger Troutman. The Spinners released a song called, "Sadie" in 1974 and this song seems to have sampled it.
Tupac was very versatile and had different styles my boy. He could be very technical but this was simple straight forward getting his point across about how much his mother meant to him even though as a kid he didn't always understand her. I also don't agree "bb wasn't a technical guitarist", the feel he had was technical in itself I believe and I'm a guitarist. Now he might've stayed in the same scale a lot but to come up with the phrases he would play, idk how someone makes it seem like what he was doing was easy.
Honestly, I was more excited that you discovered Joe Sample. Now HE is a beast and it is ironic that his last name is Sample because his music is wildly sampled. Go down that rabbit hole. You will NOT regret it.
Roger Troutman talkbox was a big influence on G-Funk. Try some DJ Quik please, musiclly seen as the best producer of the Westcoast those years (with Dre). Rhythmalism album is awesome for musicians.
Supposedly at the end of his last days he was gonna do a rock style album inspired by led zeppelin something like that I remember hearing idk if it’s true
Great reaction guys 👏🏿 I just subscribed. Great perspective on the GOAT Mr. Tupac Shakur 🐐 .You both should react to a rapper named by Big KRIT. He's a rapper from Mississippi who produces the majority of his own music. Some songs i recommend are: The vent Children of the world Mt. Olympus Get away Mixed messages Drinking sessions Price of fame King pt 3 R4 theme song Something 1 train (song with kendrick lamar, ASAP rocky amongst several other rappers)
As far as more Pac songs you should check out, some I would recommend are: So many tears Keep ya head up Brenda's got a baby Ambitionz as a ridah Hail mary
The BB KING OF RAP.... you are disrespecting both of them..... you just ramped them in together.... stop that... and all you took out of the song was I hung out with the ruff crowd..... WHAT ABOUT HIM HONORING HIS MOTHER....ALL YOU DID WAS DISRESPECT HIM AND HIS MOTHER
You should do some UK rap/grime stuff 'Stormzy - Big for your boots' would be a good song to react to. Grime is different to rap as it has its roots in garage music. (It does have hip hop influence too). The beats are unique so it might suprise ya.
Thanks for watching! Remember to comment below with some music you want us to hear! We dont know much about anything without guitars in it! lol
Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth - They Reminisce Over You

Tribe Called Quest- The Jam
This is art in its truest. It no longer becomes a song to listen to, rather a story you want to connect to.
So true!
Couldn’t of said it better myself. Absolute facts

Tupac is great because no one can tell a story better them him, when he raps you feel like your there with him.
an interesting thing about tupac’s music is that there were, essentially, two-pacs. he had conscious and uplifting music like Dear Mama but also the player and gangsta-type rap. He was extremely talented in doing both.
That's amazing

The music being sampled is Sadie by the Spinners. Which was a tribute to grandmothers everywhere.
Sampling on a deep level!

It inspired this song. It was a song dedicated to mothers.
Damn good breakdown of the song plus you were hitting those ad libs lol.
Haha ya! The lyrics on the screen is nice. :)
woah that’s my comment, great reaction guys
Thanks for commenting!
It’s a rap song not a blues or jazz. Appreciate it for what it is.

Yeah we didnt even talk about the chord progression haha

love orange shirts reaction. I take Tupac too seriously to listen to blue shirt joke too much during this song.

You talk over 2pac, you basically miss the whole song. Every word has a meaning.

u should listen to blasphemy
Will do. Tupac song or artist name?
Pausing in the middle of a verse especially a PAC verse is insane and annoying and entirely unnecessary. Listen more, talk less
👻
Dont ever do another 2pac reaction again when you dont know anything about his life and his mom
Definitely not how music works. But I respect your comment.
Stop with the exploitation of my culture please
Not tryna do that at all. Just wanna learn about all styles if music. Do you play an instrument?
