Whenever you say, "I don't wanna bore you..." when you're doing the layering, all I can think is, "Im not bored. I could watch you do this for hours." It's so relaxing to watch you create the layers. And each layer that gets created is like its own beautiful work of art. 💜💙
I have done this with copy paper not napkin or tissue. I use the fabric paper for reinforcing spines and for hidden spines. Adding the paper stops the fabric overstretching but it remains flexible. You should try it. Thank you for your video.
I’m not sure how I will sell my creations but I needed something that I could make and sell just a few crafts here and there. I’m at risk of becoming homeless at the moment due to lack of not enough income. Your video has given me for starters a new craft and I love the boxes I have no sewing machine. That would make the wallet. But the boxes and the bowls are amazing. I got this, and I know they will all be different and the Elmer’s glue and the tissue paper and the napkins can all be purchased at the dollar tree and 99 cent only store and the fabric well there is all kinds of fabric everywhere that is sold now and even fabric is sold in pieces at the dollar tree and 99 cent only maybe.. and Walmart fabric sewing area. Thank you for showing us how to make these crafts! So much…
❤❤❤OMG! This looks like so much fun. I love to teach craft and sewing classes for children and for adults. Everyone would love making these. I love the bowls!!!! For other applications I see journal and book covers, package decorations, gift tags, and more! Guess I’m going to be a napkin and tissue paper saver. 😊I’m a new subscriber. Can’t wait to see more videos!😊😊
Amazing. Love the bowls and the boxes. I agree. If not perfect ......it homemade and made with love . Used to do paper mache wirh my daughter. Never thought to use fabric and nakins. Thankyou
I have never been able to just do one craft. Sometimes I think it might be too much variety so I am so glad you took time to comment. Everyone enjoys something different. And hopeful that one of the crafts will click and will turn into a passion. Enjoy! As I always say “You never know what I will be up to next” Thanks for watching!
I know you made this video a year ago, though I just came across it. What an incredible, explosion of creativity! I absolutely loved it all! You are so creative and I have to say an amazing teacher! I thank you so very much!💖🫶🏽💖…
Saludos.
Translation: I just found the channel, I love it!...I've seen this technique before but they don't say how it can be applied...thanks for all the explanation and everything you taught. Separate comment, I was surprised by the thickness of the napkin, in my country Chile, they are very thin so you have to work them very delicately. Greetings. Me alegro de que hayas encontrado mi canal y te haya gustado el tutorial. Sí, nuestras servilletas suelen tener 3 capas. Glad you found my channel and you enjoyed the tutorial. Yes, our napkins usually have 3 layers.
Omg! Will I ever be able to pull myself away from making rope bowls (your fault 😊) to start this project? Maybe this winter….🤷♀️ I love your tutorials.
I’m new here. I’m loving you avoiding the plastics. As well as the bowls and the other projects. Question for you. Have you any idea what sort of alternatives there might be to using PVA glue? Do you think using rice glue, or cornflour glue or some other alternative would work? I’m itching to find a more sustainable glue for my craft projects.
The problem with rice or corn starch is that spores can grow which off-gas leaving little bumps or bubbles. This eventuallt rots the paper and can cause " foxing" or mildew. There may be a cure or preservative used by the wallpaper industry but I'm not sure if they still make it.
Very nice fun video. Don’t worry about using plastic. It’s a very vital product! Think of all the ways it’s used in hospitals etc. That glue is in plastic. The ones yelling about plastic are also the ones ruining our lives by interfering in everything we do.
I just had a brain wave: instead of using ordinary fabric for your bowl, why not try t’shirting or other stretchy fabric. Stretch it over the bowl and tie the ends like a ponytail, tuck the knot inside the bowl and turn the whole thing upside down. Now coat the stretch fabric thoroughly with your glue and let it dry to get rid of the fabric “memory”. Then you’re ready to use your papers. Let me know if it works… although I’m fairly sure it will 😘❣️🌹 PS: you’ll still need something under the stretch fabric to stop it from sticking to your bowl… or use a silicone bowl!
A lot of packing tape is plastic. You don't need fabric for the bowl. For the box, put the final layers of paper on after you bend it. Fabric industry is the largest contributors of pollution. If you are being careful about plastic, then you might want to thrift fabrics instead of buying anything new. Even using fabric from old sheets or clothing can give a new life and keep things out of the landfills

Thanks for your comment. A bit of a surprise as I always get such positive feedback. Not sure if you have ever published a detailed long video before. If you have not then keep in mind that when you are making videos there is so much pre planning, set up, time, effort, filming, editing, descriptions, time stamps, publishing and so much more that goes into every video. It is hard to remember and watch for every detail when there is lots of behind the scene work to do at the same time. Thanks for watching.

Yeah! Have fun with it!
Watching you make your bowl, reminds me when i used to watch a lady making cement pots with material. She covered them in cemnt instead of the glue x
Cool! So many fun things to try.
Thank your for providing the great project ideas using the fabric paper. Great ideas!

Yes it does!
Very fun and relaxing and so interesting. How do people come up with ideas to try like this?
Glad you enjoyed it. I think the brain just goes from one idea to the next and then another idea pops in the head and it goes on and on I guess.
Hello friend thank you tutorial beauty project.

Very pretty and how creative. Would it be correct to assume that these items are not water proof? thank you.
I would say water resistant but not waterproof. BUT you can get outdoor ModPodge if you want your item to be waterproof.

Your welcome.
Wonder if you could water down fabric or wood glue.
I was wondering. if you used pellon iron on vinyl after the glue fully dried the paper ones would make pretty placemats.
Oohhh. That would be worth a try for sure! Thanks for sharing the idea for everyone!

Use a layer of wax paper or freezer paper, shiny side against the paper/fabric. It won't stick for sure then

I am not familiar with any biodegradable glues unfortunately that work well.
I know years ago my mum would stick up wallpaper with flour and water paste.

Dollar store, Drug stores, Walmart, Amazon. Lots of places to find them.

Thanks for posting your comment and for all your suggestions.
Fashion and its supply chain is the third largest polluting industry, after food and construction.
Crafters are probably the biggest polluters.. and the logistics to have fricken pack of stickers delivered by shipping should be criminal.
Recycling paper is good. Fabric, too. I recycle everything I can in my art. I don’t think she deserves criticism for her method.
Quit worrying about plastic. Use Saran and keep going….
Ok thank you!
