I am overwhelmed (in a good way) with the amount of info and inspiration. I want to re-watch this video 100 times focusing on each episode with a lot of pausing. Thanks a lot for this catalogue of great ideas and abundance of beautiful examples. 31:19 Here you are mentioning that you do not know why you haven’t used those particular makes, you just found them... I’d really enjoy a video on this topic - how to keep the organization current so that the makes do get used. My way of controlling that is creating containers for each category and trying to use only them for storing and also not to overproduce. But I am sure there are many tips that I myself haven’t come up with yet.
Thank you so much for watching and for your nice comment. I’m really glad you find the video useful. I’m always reorganising things in my studio, trying to make everything more accessible. I must say that I haven’t found the perfect storage solution for my ephemera, yet. Hopefully soon, and when I do, I will definitely share in the video. 😊❤️
Another wat to use those last resort strips is to quill them! It's fun, easy and soothing, they can be used in lots of artworks☺️ If the strips are colored on just one side, fold them lengthwise with the colored side out, an when you quill hem, quill with the folded side up, to keep the color visible. I fold all my strips lengthwise unless I am going for a frayed edge look. Thanks so much for sharing, I am fired up and ready to go!❤
I love when you put your papers through the embossing folders. Don’t forget that your fabric master board pieces will go through as well. It looks really cool. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us
I’m addicted to your vids. I came across you two days ago and have been binge watching all different videos…. All different dates. So happy I found you!
I make Frankenpapper from my leftover white/beige paper. I then use that completed paper on the backs of tags. I also now make sure that I include a handmade envelope in each journal chock full of leftovers from making the journal. The receiver may then use the papers to further decorate the journal, make a little notebook, etc. I use the larger leftover paper as tags and cards in pockets, unadorned so that the receiver can use the envelope stash to decorate them if they wish.
Thank you so much for taking time to share your ideas with us. We are grateful. One additional thing I do is a small fold down envelope. I use a strip of paper about 1-1/2 in. wide and about 6-7 in. long. I fold the paper in 4 sections and fold the top section with a reversed V so it looks like a tiny envelope. I decorate the outside of the envelope. On the inside top I write the words "date" and "thoughts." I put them into tuck spots throughout the journal.
I have many years worth of card stock scraps and scrapbook paper scraps. I knew saving it all would come in handy one day. After decades I'm circling back around and love all the ideas you've shared.
Thank you for sharing this informative video. I have been making junk journals since 2010, and I know and used many of these techniques, but the way you have it arranged, It has taken me hours, but I have made a detailed document with screen prints so I can print them out and put them in my Inspiration notebook so I can look through it when I need inspiration. So very useful and your examples are exquisite, as your work always is. Thank you!
I love collages. I've made snippits they turned out really nice Your paper flowers are awesome, so are the pretty. I pasted my stripo on the diagonal for a cover on one of the journal. There were enough to cover both front and back. I had enough left to make a couple of tags and a journaling card
LOve your channel I wish I could meet such a artistic person. I thought of sticking them down and stencil over them them paper ruffle page edges. All that. ❤ be blessed u and your Family God bless you. Lenora from Alabama lol.
I use patterned scissors to create interesting edges on strips of scrap paper and use those strips to glue a little color to blank sheets for writing in the journal. The cut paper loses all recognisable pattern but adds splashes of color and decorative edge, making the blank paper more inviting for writing.
I enjoyed this very much. I am very inspired. Thank you so much for sharing all these ideas. I always think it's the little things in a journal that make it pop and make it interesting. Thank you so much for sharing.
All of your ideas are great but my personal favorite is putting the tags/journalling cards/ collages is to put the finished product through an embossing folder!! I just wouldn’t have thought of doing it that way!! ( Not that I would think of even half of the things that you come up with!!💕
INCREDIBLE and thank you soooo very much Dragana! I actually don't have too many scraps as I am at the beginning of my journey but I am dismantling paper bags at tyhe moment to use to create a journal all from secondhand/recyled items and this has given me plenty of ideas and once i start the scraps will start to pile up! I already have some from the offcuts from magazines i have grabbed beautiful images from and will make a masterboard :)
You’re very welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video. I forgot to mention in the video that I also make paper beads with magazine scraps, and your comment just reminded me of that so thank you for the inspiration 😊❤️
Thank you so much for this amazing video ! I am sinking in scraps !! I think I have just experienced the crafters version of a sugar rush !😂 I will have to “ take you along “ into my craft room and watch , pause , craft ,repeat ! I know exactly what you mean about the hand made paper ( I have a large stash of scraps earmarked for that too ! ) it is very time consuming ,labour intensive and the paper seems to take forever to dry , and because it’s such a labour of love , I’m reluctant to use it 😂 Thank you again for your inspiration ❤
You’re very welcome! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. Oh, if I had a dollar for every piece of scrap I collected… 😂😂😂 If I throw something out, chances are, I am going to need it and I’ll have to buy it 😂😂😂
These are fantastic ideas! If we can't figure out what to do with our paper scraps after watching this video, we have lost that old mojo! 😄 Thank you for sharing all of these creative ideas with us!
Saacibo, great ideas. Love all the different things you made from scraps! Will try a few. You must've accrued quite a bit of hand made bits and books. What do you do? Do you sell some stuff, give it away, keep? Maybe it's a bit of all of the above. Whatever so nice to look at later.
Wow! You are such an inspiration. It makes me wonder how much time you spend each day at these creations!? I really appreciate everything you share with us all 😅.
Thank you so much! If you ask my husband or my friends, they would tell you that I spend way too much time in my craft room 😂 If you ask me - not enough 😂
I laughed when I saw this video tonight….I just spent the last two hours making Frankenpaper masterboards because I was so frustrated by my big pile of offcuts. This video was FANTASTIC and I will rewatch it every time I lose my mojo ☺️ THANK YOU!
I'm so glad I found your channel. Your videos have inspired me to try to make the lovely things you've shared with us. Not only is the content teaching me new things, but I find your presentation and style very soothing and relaxing. I walk away from each of your videos I've watched thinking, "I can do this. Lots of really great ideas for using scraps--many of which are new to me. Thank you for compiling these into a single video that I will definitely watch over and again.😄
Wow, Dragana, this lovely video is like a little encyclopedia of ideas! ❤ I loved every one of them and all your beautiful examples! Saving this video for reference 😊 Thank you so much for sharing!
Best tutorial I've seen so far with great examples of projects to use up my scraps. Do you know how many scraps I have? Enough that I don't ever have to buy more scrapbook supplies. Of course, THAT won't ever happen...lol
Oh, thank you so much for your nice comment and for bringing a smile to my face. You described your situation as if you described mine. 😆 No matter how much we accumulate it’s never enough when it comes to paper and craft supplies 😊❤️
This is one of my all time favorite videos!!! It has been so inspirational and informative I have ever watched. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us.
I just subscribed to your channel and I'm so excited to have found you. I am so very new to sll paper crafting snd journaling. You have given me an abundance of ideas which will be so helpful. I don't have s stash yet and havent even made a journal yet. I have been watching video after video for days now. Its time I get started and het over my fear of not knowing what to do. I'm mostly a crafter and I work with wood and other sorts of things for home decor. So I do have a creative mind. Your video was so inspiring and I got up and started using my corcle punch with scraps of paper. I thank you so much for sharing all of this snd will be waiting for your next video. ❤❤❤
You’re very welcome! I’m really glad you found the video inspirational! Just before I got into junk journaling, I’ve done a lot of sewing and enjoyed making fabric collages. From there I slowly got into making junk journals and I loved it because they combine fabric, paper, wood, metal and other materials all in one. I hope you creative journey stays fun and enjoyable no matter what media you work with ❤️😊
New subbie! This is an incredible video! Thank you for sharing your ideas with us! I’ve saved this video to watch again- especially when I’m in a creative slump 💝
What great ideas to use up your scraps. I love your paper flowers & butterflies. ❤️ I’ve just joined your Facebook group so I don’t miss out on your new videos.
Hey there, such a good idea to scan them and use them in the JJ… I usually use them for Journal Covers!😍. lol like yourself…and. Love to use paper ruffles for the edge of papers that might be too short on my pages.. all such great ideas and I love the mini books. Thanks for sharing! 🙏💗
Yes! I don’t know why I didn’t mention paper beads, I had some made, I must have forgotten. Since I published this video, I realized I forgot to mention at least 5 more scrap paper ideas; paper beads, altered buttons and washi tape, to name a few!
So HAPPY I found your channel. I am very captivated by your style and creative side for all these scrapping situations we paper crafters face. I do save my scraps but the hoarding is getting out of control. You have given me a new view and ideas of how to use them. Thanks for sharing! I am a new subbie to show my appreciation.
Hi! Thank you so much for subscribing, watching and for your nice comment. I totally understand the need for hoarding - I have a problem too. Paper, fabric, books, plants, pets to name a few of my hoarding addictions 😂
I just happened to think that you might be the perfect person to ask this question : I am going to be moving and it will be a perfect opportunity to reorganize my craft supplies….any ideas?? Especially for ephemera?? Thank you! 💕
Oh, moving can be exciting but also stressful and complicated. I moved so many times in my life. From town to town, country to country, even changed continents twice. The best advice I can give you is to label everything as you would with other things from your house. Color coding boxes is helpful, too. It will be easier to find things later. I would store ephemera in clear envelopes or boxes. Most of the things I have are already in plastic boxes so I would leave them like that and place in a bigger cardboard boxes. I hope this helped 😊❤️
I am overwhelmed (in a good way) with the amount of info and inspiration. I want to re-watch this video 100 times focusing on each episode with a lot of pausing. Yes! I don’t know why I didn’t mention paper beads, I had some made, I must have forgotten. Since I published this video, I realized I forgot to mention at least 5 more scrap paper ideas; paper beads, altered buttons and washi tape, to name a few!
Amazing video. As are all your videos.

Thank you very much for this inspiring video, Dragana!
