Instead of the pin in the middle I love to use my eyelets. I have some with a square, heart, round front and they look great on these kind of closures too.
I love this. I use these closures so rarely because I not only have to assemble the materials each time, I have to remember how they're made. Thanks for coming up with the perfect solution!
I really like the tabs, both the whale tail and the others, to add the discs! I’m going to make these tonight when everyone else has retired, and it’s just me and the cat!
What a great tutorial! I love the idea of having ready made closures. They are so cute and it seems a lot easier to glue onto the bottom part of the envelope than to get a paper punch down into the envelope. Thank you for sharing your talents with us. 💜
These are darling! And the timing is great, just got my tab punch from Temu (it's awesome!) Tip: Cut an extra circle and fold across several times... the center is marked where the lines cross. TY, Tracie, for another good idea!
Just the other day I was thinking about these closures and that I needed to make some. What a coincidence... Many thanks for reminding me and for the inspiration :)))❤
I’ve just stumbled across your channel and I absolutely love your idea of making stashes using scraps. Can’t think of a better way to spend a rainy day. Thank you
This is a most helpful video. The closures are really pretty and practical. Especially glad you tell us what to use if we don’t have the punches you used. Thanks 🙏!
Oh my goodness I absolutely love this idea I really need to make a stash of things. My brain just never works that way, but I need to start doing that love this. Thank you so much for sharing. Xo me
Love the tips on how to shape the tabs and making templates for centering the hole.... genius. I usually end up making closures as and when I need them, it has never occurred to me to make some in advance. Really need a session doing these
I got excited when I saw the whale tail punch because I have that one! I've not used it much so this is perfect timing as I've been looking at it a lot lately and wanting to get crafty with it. Lovely video and great ideas!
Love them n I love your tiny cute labels I hear all the creators talking about your labels wish it had a printer to have them I really what you do take care 🖐️👅🤗🤗💜💜🏴🏴
I love this kind of closures. Brilliant idea to make these with scraps ready to be used on projects… tidies up the scraps in a purposeful way ❤ May I suggest putting some foam or corrugated cardboard ( I actually have a 1cm thick felted mat from doing parchment craft years ago) on top of your self healing mat - this allows the awl to push further through the circles with less resistance but the foam/ corrugated card supports the circle so it doesn’t crumple. I find it makes this part of the task so much easier. X
@@TracieFoxCreative I was a primary school teacher for years, we had a stock of carpet squares (free samples from a carpet shop) for when the kids were making holes in cereal box card - they were able to do this with their card on top of the carpet square, then use just a sharpened pencil making it a safe task they could do independently 👍
looks like a bowl of owls watching us! :)
They do! 😂
Lol now I feel watched! Hooo hoooot
😂
Now I can’t unsee that…😂😂
It does.. LOL

It's definitely an excellent idea. It can take more time to make one closure, and here you can make as many as you like with little effort. 🙂❤️
Great idea to have them ready. I use the small glue containers from crafty companion and not had problems like the Amazon ones x C
