Truth: I snort laughed when you flipped off the paper with both your middle fingers 😂 Thank you for always, always brightening my day and making me smile. Love you ❤
Good for you Tracie! I think most people don’t want to commit a crime, they just don’t know. I have been thinking about a business and have been thinking about this issue and there’s so much that I can’t use but it’s fair to the creators and I do want to respect that. Thank you for reminding us!!💕
It was great that you shared your experience with copyright so that others might not make a mistake. I think that the new book page pouches were beautiful. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent with us.
How cool are those! Thank you so much for the shout out and the information on the leaflets, who would have known! Great informative and fun video, thank you xo
Love your videos. I am new to this craft and I have learned so much from your video. I even began to save them as a reference as I learn to manipulate paper crafting into journals! Valuable teaching to us newbies! Thank you!
I have made plastic pouches like these. They are perfect water bowls for my dogs. Slips nicely in to a pocket or bag and takes up hardly any space. But now I will definitely make them from book pages for my journals. Great idea...turned out very pretty. TFS 🤗🕊️
I love these, perfect for journals. Thanks so much for the info at the beginning about pamphlets and things like that I would’ve never thought of that either. Thanks so much..
Oh my goodness, what a trial for you, Tracie! Thank goodness the lightbulb lit up though 👍 I love origami and these pouches are ooooolala 👌💕 I really like both ways you closed the pouch... especially with the ready made closures 💕 Thank you for all that you share so graciously with us... you/re awesome ☺ Blessings~~~
These remind me of the way a paper lunch bag or gift bag bottoms are made/look when I cut them off to use the paper for projects. ONLY this is better because you can use any paper to match your project and desired size. Thanks for sharing!
These are fab, and I particularly like your closures. I've always been put off by how fiddly I imagined anything origami-ish to be, but this seems like even I would have the patience for! TFS 😊
I love these pouches, but had completely forgotten how to assemble them (after making at least 20 just a few years ago). I’m saving this video in a playlist, and hoping I will remember I have it when the time comes to make more pouches. Great reminder about copyright.
Love these pouches, things can be hidden so nice inside, and could be such a nice surprise for someone. Thank you for all the information about that issue, i use pamphlets and such only in my smash books of various trips, but i never thought that couldn't be shared in some of the cases (being promotional items). ♥♥♥
Love your videos One of our Iconic Rock Stars you are !! Also love Origami, but I'm lazy so I do this with the bottom of a paper sack, wonderful! Hugs all around!
Tracie….many thanks for the information on the free leaflets 😮yes who would no 😱 I’ve used so many for stuff. ( lucky for me I don’t sell, or make videos etc. these pouches are sooo cool loving your book page ones too ❤xx
Thanks Tracie for showing the origami pouch again. I made one a long time ago following your video. But I would like to make more and I really needed a refresher!
When I was 10 or 11 or so, mmmuummbbllle years ago I learned this in an origami class to make a little box. I don't believe there is a copy right on this, but who knows. Anyhoo... I had forgotten all about it until you showed it again, and I thank you, it is a fun project to use flat in journals, but with heavy stock the boxes are very useful for small items and you an glue them together in a row.
These are great!! I'm betting I can't do it! Gonna try. Since the internet, copyright laws are very limiting. It used to be that you could use anything if you didn't sell it. Edith Holden estate has a restriction against even using images in any book you make at all, but I still see people on the internet using these pages in journals they sell. Be brave but careful!!
@glittermama For my own projects, I use whatever I want. I find it understandable that one can`t sell and make money from things that had been created by others, though :)
I've been paranoid about copyright for years. Unfortunately the new AI stuff doesn't care. I had a weird thing on copyright last week when fb and other apps crashed. I put my facebook as I have for years, in the description bit. After uploading it had been removed due to my account supposedly containing porn and nudity😂 I checked the url and the 7 was missing. I then checked to see whose account it was, It was a young mum. lovely fb page with pics of the kids and her and hubby. That's a lesson for me to double check even if its my account showing lol. I have these boxes on my desk for bits when making a journal. They are so useful and if the get ink on them it doesn't matter. love your pouches. Hugs xxx
Hi Tracie: Your pouches are so cute! I made one in 2019 when I first started junk journaling and sent it to my sister with ephemera inside. Didn’t even decorate it. Have no idea what tutorial I used. Could have been Gi Kerr. Thanks for sharing. You inspired me to do better. 💜😎🇺🇸
The copy right laws can be confusing. Thank you for sharing. On the road right now, but will be making these and putting a sample in my "Tracie" sampler junk journal. Having fun adding to it.
Frustrating you had to scratch your video, but glad you caught it. Pouches come out very nice and neat your way, especially using the ruler. And, I have to say this, your nails look great! Color really suits you. 😊
Tjis is great! I often wondered how these were made. I used papers from an old dictionary... worked perfectly! Thank you for this tutorial, I enjoyed it very much😊 Greetings from Germany Danielle
Me and Velcro and Paper share: I had backed a piece of fabric for an closure with paper, and used velcro, perhaps mine was a strong grip, as they do vary...but after 7 or 8 times of opening...finally the velcro stayed together and pulled off my paper from the cloth! ...just thought I'd share that...I took the velcro and attached to the fabric after I removed the paper to remedy...and so far so good. I don't trust paper anymore with velcro..... Love this video
Love this project! Thank you for sharing this. I have a suggestion about the thinner paper needed for this project. I love and have many old Tim Holtz papers that would be too thick for this. But let's say you have that brand or any other brand of thick papers that you love the images on, but need thinner paper....I have a scanner printer combo, so I scan the papers and print on thinner papers. Ex: Linen paper 28 pound copy paper etc. Hope this helps those who may not already do that. :) You are so entertaining!! (the flip off thingy) As I watched this video I realized years ago I made my Christmas cards one year with this same folding. Then inside I put paper tree ornaments I made as well, inside and sent them out to family and friends. Just a little idea for everyone on another way to use this wonderful project.
These look wonderful, going to give them a try. A little tip with the velcro... if you keep the backing on one side, cut it out and then put them together, your finger will not stick to the tacky tape...found that out thru experience as I use a lot of the velcro closures.. 😉
These look so much fun, they’d be great to gift a gift card as well…now my brain is ticking! Thanks for the copyright info, I was going to do a flip through of my completed holiday journals but now I’m wondering if I can. Think I will add a few post it notes in certain places just in case! Wonderful instructions, going to give this a go 💜
Ys its a lot of research, mostly it is the heritage locations as far as I can tell but boy it opened a can of worms for me lol. I had so many videos planned with the brochures x

I love making stuff like this. Just made 7 of them. Thanks for the tutorial!
Fantastic!

Wonderful project. I'm watching from Tennessee usa.

@@lechat8533 Of course. But it never was illegal to show something on a video with no intention of selling it. That's what's changed.
@@glittermama
Oh, I see. I didn`t quite understand what you were referring to.
Sorry.
@@lechat8533 😀😀😀
Great directions! You made this really easy to follow. Thanks

Very cute! Thanks for the advice. I don't sell my journals so I think I'm ok. 🤗
You are usually ok to sell journals with the leaflets in that I was talking about, you just cannot share on YT or social media :-D x
Lindíssimos, maravilhosa idéia
Love them ❤
