It gets a lot of hate because it sucks ass to play with chase sequences through barely legible paths, half of the game is walking through a catholic school, and all of the 'story' is shown through the notes and camera scribblings.
@@Monanniverse I don’t think it’s that bad. Sure the gameplay gets repetitive over time especially in the end. The story might be convoluted but still interesting if you take a deeper look into it. That’s why videos like this exist in the first place. I have the feeling the hate comes more from the fact that there’s no obvious connection to the first game.
beautiful video! so few people have dedicated discussion to exploring the daily lives of the games' characters and it's one of my favourite topics to consider, so it's very cool to me you made this. like the details you picked up on in the Satanas Inimical Dei (ik im not spelling this shit properly but like idc) building - i never would have realized the cradle was for killing the infants, even though it makes so much sense when you put it that way. i just saw that and glossed over it thinking It's There To Be Creepy I Guess so yea, different interpretations are awesome. in the same vein, you had a totally different take on what daniel being blinded by the lye meant. maybe that was a precursor to his ritual death, as you claim, but i always assumed the lye-blinding was purely an accident on lisa's part. i figure she only thought about it because the radio blasts bring up a person's deepest traumas, and blinding an innocent guy with lye would fit the bill. that's how i always saw it looking forward to part 3! thanks for the great content
Looking forward to the next episode. I first played Outlast 2 years and years ago, but a while after Trials' release (and playing the game for quite a long time), I decided to go back to Outlast 2, as many things I never really understood were later explained in Trials. I just replayed it last weekend in fact, and noticed so many things I never did before, thanks to Trials, the spider eyed lamb being the most obvious one, and a clear reference to Knoth being a Reagent, like the player character in Trials. You never could've known this without playing Trials. I also assume the six-armed figure has something to do with Trials' Skinner Man, which is an entity that appears to all Reagents in psychosis consistently. Probably has something to do with the Radio Towers, which are also featured in the ending of Trials.
Always wondering how manny cultists lived in Temple Gate. Because they have to be in 100 right? There are more scalled and herretics then cultists it seems.
Considering that the original Jonestown had more or less 900 inhabitants, I guess it's also the case of Temple Gate 🤔 We can't see them all both because many got sick and were sent to live in the forest among the Scalled and many others defected and joined Val, and then because as you can clearly see, most of the few ones who remained in the village committed su**ide, were butchered and were generally sent to die (just think about the children) even before Blake and Lynn's arrival
I thought this day was going to be one of the most boring of this summer (I mean, I can't even go out at this moment because of the insane heat 😅), but then I almost jumped out of my chair when I saw the notification of the second part of this wonderful series 😍😍😍 Furthermore it lasts 36 minutes and this automatically means 36 minutes of orga**, as I have a serious fetish for this stuff 🤣🤣🤣
Really well done analysis! I don’t get why Outlast 2 gets so many negativity. It’s such a gruesome but gorgeous game. can’t wait for part 3

seems like medieval europe to me
