I don't want an Obsidian Fallout anymore. Aside from Sawyer, no one who worked on New Vegas is even there anymore. It wouldn't be the same. I'd rather it be Bethesda or some new company given a shot.
Yeah but some of the team who created the original Fallout now work at obsidian. Leonard Boyarsky and the creator Tim Cain, unless Cain is retired. Still I think obsidian would do a great job, especially since bethesda seems to have a lot of other things going on

If they release an update, everyone gets mad about their mods. If they don't release an update they get accused of abandoning and/or breaking the game. If I were them I'd just abandon it as well. They'll get dumped on constantly no matter what they do.

I have to admit I haven't liked much they've done the last few years outside of Pentiment and that's about as far away from a Fallout rpg as you can get.
The Obsidian of today is not the Obsidian of before. Compound that with years of unrealistic expectations for a New Vegas follow up and you get left with egg on your face because even if Obsidian was making it it would NEVER be the game you spent the past 15 years dreaming about.
MY THEORY, bethesda as a unit lacks any confidence in their release dates and I believe that internally its a great regret that they announced elder scrolls so I believe fallout 5 has a decent chunk of development done but they are dead scared of announcing anything.
They will let us know when the next Fallout game's development....becomes a priority. Whether they are developing it... or another company. Just like they let us know, when they made TES VI... the priority. Just like when they let is know, when they started working on Starfield.

Nah as someone who use to live there par for the course the show location reflects the series direction wish they could just have the team who made Fallout London make the sequel.
3 months more and we will have 1 year anniversary of Fallout 4 being broken to generate TV series hype. Can't wait to see what they will break next for the upcoming season 2.
I still don't understand how they didn't have plans to cash on the TV show. None of the Fallout games entirely match the vibe and story of the show, Fallout 1 and 3 would be the closest in term of story because of the "Vault Dweller going outside" while 4 and 76 are closer in term of atmosphere and mood... but people wanting to have an experience similar to that of Lucy in the show don't really have a game for that.
What is going on is the older Fallout gets, the older I feel. As we are the same age only separated by a few months. I hope to hear some news about the season 2 for the show this year though, alongside the ghoul update for Fallout 76.
The best we could hope for is either a remaster of Fallout New Vegas by an external developer or a sequel to New Vegas after Obsidian Entertainment wraps up both Avowed and Outer Worlds 2.
If a companion from nv would show up it would most likely be raul 1. Rauls va is already a famous actor 2. Danny Trejo is 80 so sounding like an old man would be lore friendly since raul is old 3. If he even is in the show id imagine it would just be a cameo just becus of his age 4. Or maybe they could show rex or one of his puppies
The problem is those 2 years have became a standard in Hollywood industry for series... and same 8 episodes have became standard when not long ago it was still 10.
Thaddeus should become a Ghoul not a Supermutant. So many ghouls exist because of FEV in pre-war food. Becoming a Supermutant requires prolonged exposure to FEV submerged in a tank. Low dose FEV just ghoulifies someone, like Hancock in Fallout 4.
The thing about Drive-In movie theaters is the all pretty much look the same. My question is why are there cars parked there in the daytime? The bombs fell well after sunrise, so what are all those cars doing there? Well, maybe the sun goes down earlier that time of year or something, and movie goers all want to get a good spot. That's the only thing my imagination could come up with.
It is obvious that Bethesda has quite a few development teams in various locations, but currently we only have one Todd Howard. At some point, I think they need to get beyond having one person that has oversight; or rather creative oversight.

What they should have done was Nuka LA. And that region has been abandoned by the NCR Government because of being stretched thin and War Weary since the events of New Vegas. But bethesda had to disrespect Fallout 1 2 NV because TOD IS JEALOUS he never made a Fallout that good and F3 is my Fav so I'm biased toward the Bethesda Fallouts.
76 looks like it could be great if they actually released an actual single player, does not ever require being online, but has all the content version. If I need to be online I don't want to play it. If Bethesda were smart, they would buy Fallout London and sell it to the public as a stand alone game It exists, and the general public is both hungry for more content, and a lot of people simply don't have the time / skill to get the mod working. I enjoy several of the Fallout games, but somehow the Fallout TV show bored me - I initially gave up about halfway through the first episode, but a few hours (or maybe days, not sure) later, I forced myself to go back and at least finish the episode. There were a couple of things that I remember bothering me: 1. why did we get more fanservice of Lucy's husband than of Lucy? 2. why didn't the other vault dwellers notice the radiation from their guests sooner? (I might watch it again at some point to double-check whether they were wearing their Pip-Boys when welcoming the disguised raiders, but if they weren't, why not?)
Yea if they doing the Starlight Drive-in that's a Fallout 4 location for sure, and the dog (Dogmeat) is a German Shepard not that motley dog they they show on screen if they don't get this stuff right they is going to be some harsh backlash.

You got some years that you've mentioned off by a bit. Like talking about mtx for 'the year' as 2025 instead of 2024, and 2026 being the year for the next seasonal content or whatever.
At least we don't get the new paid creations like Skyrim or Starfield. Todd would have to "un-break" the game which would allow Fallout London to be installed (on pc) and that is something that Todd's ego won't allow.
Fallout London knew an update was coming because it was announced months before it happened and they decided to release anyway as if Bethesda owes them something. That and while it's a good game it's also a broken mess and I lost around thirty hours in three separate runs after patches where quests and companions broke.
I hope fallout 5 will have settlement building, honestly it was the biggest draw for me to play this game and most of my hours played are because of settlement building.
Maybe this is just me but if season two is supposed to be going to Vegas I think I’d prefer if they did a majority of their filming actually in Vegas. Obviously know they’re not gonna be able to do everything in Vegas, but you know I kind of thought if they’re going to Vegas, they might as well actually go to Vegas and commit to the idea fully

There were a couple of things that I remember bothering me: 1. why did we get more fanservice of Lucy's husband than of Lucy? 2. why didn't the other vault dwellers notice the radiation from their guests sooner? (I might watch it again at some point to double-check whether they were wearing their Pip-Boys when welcoming the disguised raiders, but if they weren't, why not?)

I use to play FO4 everyday after it launched in Nov 2015. Bethesda ended that after the 2nd next-gen patch. Stalker 2 has me covered now.

Yea if they doing the Starlight Drive-in that's a Fallout 4 location for sure, and the dog (Dogmeat) is a German Shepard not that motley dog they they show on screen if they don't get this stuff right they is going to be some harsh backlash.

You got some years that you've mentioned off by a bit. Like talking about mtx for 'the year' as 2025 instead of 2024, and 2026 being the year for the next seasonal content or whatever.
At least we don't get the new paid creations like Skyrim or Starfield. Todd would have to "un-break" the game which would allow Fallout London to be installed (on pc) and that is something that Todd's ego won't allow.
Fallout London knew an update was coming because it was announced months before it happened and they decided to release anyway as if Bethesda owes them something. That and while it's a good game it's also a broken mess and I lost around thirty hours in three separate runs after patches where quests and companions broke.

Maybe this is just me but if season two is supposed to be going to Vegas I think I’d prefer if they did a majority of their filming actually in Vegas. Obviously know they’re not gonna be able to do everything in Vegas, but you know I kind of thought if they’re going to Vegas, they might as well actually go to Vegas and commit to the idea fully

This year, Fallout 4 is going to be 10yrs old and no one is talking about it. I feel like Bethesda should at least fix it on consoles and PC, but I would rather like to see some Anniversary Edition with cut content or Creations integration. Imagine how cool it would be to play Fallout: London on console and support creators
They wouldn't be able to fix it better than mod authors already did for free.
