Good review Joe, love looking at the differences in options. Next time consider the different accessories that can go with the Mustang such as bug deflector. Spare tire, custom stripes, etc

Joe P I got the velocity blue premium edition, with the pony package that has pony projection lights and the ambient light
Premium is worth it for the sync 3. Pp isn't if you plan on modding it.

Applied to 2020 and 2021: convertible. So much fun! Second: Premium package. The leather seats, cooled and heated, and all the other stuff is great. Third: ONLY if more than one person will be driving it regularly, spring for the seat/mirror memory. Everything else is superfluous

I'm leaning towards the 2019 Ecoboost Performance package because Ford allows you the option of LSD in sub-V-8 Automatic transmission models with 3 gear options.

@@RaitisRides , yeah, I've been a Chevy fan for a long time, I currently own a '68 Chevelle, '02 Camaro Z28, '13 Camaro LT, '15 Tahoe but I honestly like what Ford is offering and I'm very disappointed in what Chevy/GM offers for Camaro lineup, no LSD for 2.0/3.6 Automatic transmission option and no optional gearing. I think Ford stepped it up in the performance market over Chevy. Not a huge jump but it's an improvement.
I would love to see that Chevelle and Camaro Z28! What engine is in the Chevelle?
@@RaitisRides , working on the interior right now hoping to be done by March/April for the Chevelle, it's got a modified 355ci, ported World Product heads, Lunati race cam, Comp Cams roller rockers, chromemoly pushrods and my fav upgrade is the ever hated PG transmission, I put the PG in before it became popular. When I get the interior finished I'll get some picks, oh it's a droptop too. 😁

You do have to apprechiate people like him who actually tells you its a good car and its a good choice and not bash it because it doesnt have the v8 in it and a 5.0 badge. Very down to earth guy actually who just apprechiates the ecoboost mustang for what it is and that people actually like the looks of the mustang but not want to commit to the v8 for various reasons.

I had to get a 2018 EcoBoost premium 10 speed with the digital dash. Was 23,000 with about 33,000 miles on it in kona blue. Right as I got the car I got a turboback exhaust of facebook and its been The best car I've ever owned

That silver one reminds me of the 05 silver V6 Mustang I once owned. I had the front horse and wheels blacked out as well. Like you alluded too, the factory version is nicer than the after market stick on's and plasti-dip though. Haha. Still miss my little Stang.

Never liked that term Pony package. How about stallion package
The velocity blue color pops even on the cloudy day.
Some will question me. But i think the Ecoboost Mustang in Velocity Blue and Performance Pack, active exhaust is plenty for me.
And upgrade the intake and add a custom tune.
For extreme end. Will def build up the engine internals and block for the bigger turbo and injector upgrades. Prob do a 500 to 600bhp Ecoboost Mustang combined with the 10 speed for track days.
Now that would be a fun and fast ride!
2.0 Ecoboost is a better block to crank out high power, due to closed-deck head design.

We just bought a 2019 blue convertible premium with perf package but want to know 2 things: does the package change the handling or is it just wheels and a spoiler? 2nd, can I add the active exhaust and have it work on the dash like stock? Is there an after market option?... sweet ride!
You get the wheels, brakes, suspension pieces and spoiler. There are some brand that do active.
HAVE TO get that gauge cluster, also the B&O stereo!!

Great review! Who would put a Dealer sticker on the tail of a Mustang however? That’s the first delete out of the lot. Other than that - sweet ride. Waiting for delivery of my 6 speed EcoBoost ConvertibleVelocity blue with black stripe. 5 month wait from the factory.

I have owned a 1989 and d1989 GT and a 1990 GT convertible and have to say these new Mustangs are great. Very interested in GT350R but want to see the GT 500 but would consider a Shelby GT. I own a 2017 C7 ZO6 now and want to collect a few of these American muscle cars and so on. I am amazed with the technology and power of all these cars. My question is the 2017 Dodge Viper has gone way up in price and I see DODGE might build a midengined Viper. You think the 2017 Viper will drop in price if a new generation of Viper come out or remain at its current pricing?
I wouldn't count on it. If Dodge comes out with a new Viper it will not have a V10 and that will drive up the values of the previous generations. If Dodge doesn't come out with a new Viper then that will drive up prices all by itself

In my opinion that black accent package is the best value for money you will ever see. Those black wheels from Ford easily sell for $800-$900 apiece if you went and purchased them separately. And if a body shop painted that roof black, it would be $1,000 without batting an eye.

You can order the active exhaust on the EcoBoost in both of the Mustangs reviewed. What you cant do is order the pony package and black accent package together - one or the other.

I agree. Just when you thought you could distinguish an Ecoboost from a V-6, Ford had to go and do that. I think they also put it on the premium Mustang Ecoboost.
