My mom was looking something up on my grandpa's computer and my stupid 8-year-old self was all like "are there any my little pony games?" Because i was obsessed with MLP growing up. The following summer i would go into my grandpa's room everyday and play MLP games after he was done reading his emails and one day my mom got REALLY mad at me because i had accidentally downloaded a bunch of malware onto his computer because i played the games too much (that and the fact that i would click ads and immediantly close the tab afterwards probably had something to do with it)

You know what's really interesting about bootlegs? When coming across enough of them, you sort of know what to expect through how the game looks, sounds, or even plays. A big example of this would be the weird Lord of the Rings, Shrek, Sonic, and Mario bootlegs. That same developer made a Rayman bootleg and you could 100% expect what it's like. Same way with the Russian Sega Genesis bootlegs and Sintax games.
One of the monster sprites in the first game shown off is literally just a stolen design from Link's Awakening DX. Also, the "Mega Man boss" looks more like a Hammer Joe from Mega Man 3 than a particular Robot Master.
I love how that Metal Gear bootleg didn't even try to hide it was a bad copy except for that one change to "Master Miller" who totally needed a goatee, apparently

Apparently the devs actually got the Pocky & Rocky GBA port engine legitimately for that one.
Don't think they got the LoTR license though.
