I just bought this one and used it 10 times, it cleans really well. it is better than the model g1 that has been used for 1 year and vacuums the floor cleaner than all models that have been used. After vacuuming, I touched the floor with my hands. There is no dust at all, awesome.

Brand new piece just keeps asking to clean obstacle sensor. Cleaned it many times. But it doesn't move. Any way to solve that?

It's done simultaneously, but if you only want vacuum, you need to manually remove the mop pad
Hi. My house had a 4” drop balcony but it always drops and suspends halfway and I cannot finish mapping my house and I cannot seem to set any map management. How did you do the mapping?
I had come issues with mine tooo on a 6" drop, but after turning the lights on in the room with the 6" drop, it stop falling, i think this is due to the 1C using an optical sensor, the area needs to be well lit. You can see how to save a map at 11:09 in this video. cheers~
Does anyone know how to change the direction that robot cleans. It used to go vertically now it goes horizontally so it constantly bumps the wall in the hallway and is annoying. Xx
Can I split the map for moping in the bathroom and then in the kitchen? So schedule once a week for mop areas then vacuum everywhere else every couple of days?
unfortulately the 1C only saves 1 map, only the higher models Mi robot and the Roborock supports multi maps saving.
Hi...do we need to stop the vacuum via the apps after it had covered all the area? as mine will return to the dock for charging and resume cleaning after fully charged.
Usually they will return to the spots they missed after charging. So far mine stops by it self after every area is covered.

Dont worry, it wont reset the other floors as long as you saved the map you want. You can just let it free roam the unsaved maps.

Can you use it only as a vacuum function only? If so how do you use it? I still want the mop function on certain places of the house.
Hello Raffy, Sure you can, But you need to manually remove the mop pad for those areas. And reattach the mop pad for the areas you want mopped.

Perhaps need to wait for the next update for this bug to be fixed.😅
Currently the new firmware 4 available and I couldn't use its app until I let it update.

Hello~ It does not require wifi to clean. But if not connected to the wifi via the app, you can't use alot of features like the suction strength settings, Mapping, boder and mop warer level

When it’s not used, do you always charge it on its dock? Will it affect the battery life span?
Hello there🙂 nope, I will turn it off when fully charged. My theory is that it might drain the batt life, as the sit idol, the batt will drain a little, when the dock detects batt drain, it starts to charge again till full. This stop, charge, stop, charge action might cause the batt to shorten life span IMO. Also might not be so economical for my electric bill 🙂

Hello there! Yes it supports map saving on all 3 robots that I have bought, but only saves 1 layout. That is odd, by right it should support map saving as seen @11:16 in this video. Maybe it is an issue with the firm ware update.
This btw is not made by Roborock, it's made by Dreame and hence parts are not interchangeable with Roborock ones :)

Hi there Any idea why my 1T does not get into my wifi? when comparing with yours , when I touched just power button both lights get on (dock and power) and MIHome does get it. Shoud I reset it? its the internationl chinese version. thks
sry bro, havent got a chance to try the 1T yet, maybe the issue is with the chinese ver. ? If you are using Andriod or iOS, need to get the global rom.

Does it move randomly while vacuuming ie. does it vacuum over the same spot that it has already vacuumed?
It does not move randomly. It has a specific map pattern that it typically follows a zig zag pattern in the middle and goes around the perimeter of the house after that. In small rooms I notice it tends to go over the same place twice
Sometimes, it moves around a bit cleaning some area twice, but no big deal. Compared to my Ecovacs Deebot 920 which I bought 2x the price, I would choose Xiaomi Mijia 1c any time any day. You should see my Deebot 920 which sometimes makes my blood boil LOLLLL. Mijia 1c is so much more predictable and stable. The Ecovacs app is a junk, very unstable, often fails to update the map status while cleaning. Sometimes on electricity blackout, it could move in the dark getting confused to find its dock (Mijia 1c never does this). Sometimes it cleans 1/2 of the house and return to the port "cleaning complete", and some other time it cleans several rooms twice. It got stuck on a carpet (Mijia 1c always go up the carpet successfully). When I move the robot and placed just several meters away from its original location, it got very confused and often fails to identify the same floor & starts cleaning cycle from the beginning. If I move it several meters away & ask it to return to port, it will go around the house for 10 min before it finds its port. Mijia 1c is so much faster identifying new location & return to port in just 1-2 min.
I bought Ecovacs 920 2 weeks before Mijia 1c, and my sister bought Ecovacs T8 at 3x the price of Mijia 1c (I recommended it over Xiaomi 😛). My sister said sometimes it stops cleaning in the middle of the room...doing nothing. LOLLL
The Ecovacs apps is always updated frequently, but the update breaks things even more. (Look at the very low rating of this app in Playstore...only 1.5 stars). My sister blamed me because I said Ecovacs was better than Mijia 1c. She bought 2 units of T8, each for 1floor. At the time, I only drew my own conclusion from many youtube reviews and spec sheet, and that is the reason why I bought Deebot 920 instead of Mijia 1c at the beginning. T8 with 5200mah battery and Deebot 920 with 3200mah can map 2 floors while Mijia 1c can only do 1 map with 2400mah. Despite my 920 can do multi-floor, I found it annoying to move it manually to the 2nd floor, and that is why I decide to buy Mijia 1c this time. And....surprise, surprise, I love my Mijia 1c a lot better than Deebot 920 which is 2x the price. It is so much more reliable.
Ohh well....if oly I knew, I could buy 2 units of Mijia 1c with the money I spent on Deebot 920. Damn, damn, damn. 😂
I told my sister about my new Mijia 1c, and she got pissed LOLL . She said "You recommended me Ecovacs over Mijia 1c, and you even told me to buy the more expensive T8 instead of 920, and now you said Mijia 1c is better at a third of the price ????" 😂
Btw, my sister just asked me to buy her 2 units of Mijia 1c just several days ago . LOLL
I bought for her already and she told me the package arrived yesterday, but she hasn't got the time to try it. I hope she likes Mijia this time, or she will skin me alive. LOLL
Hi, is this robot use a lot of water for mopping ? How to know there are any issue on the water flow out when mopping ? I noticed my robot only used very less water to mop my living room, dinning and kitchen (stay in a double story house ).. not even 30% of water from the tank. Please share your experience. TQ
yea haha i think it's normal, they are very thrifty with the consumption. i always put mine on 'High' water level setting. even with that, it can't finish the water in the tank, my house is about 1700sqft.

it will not work properly with no light, as this one uses an optical sensor on the top for room mapping.
I cant get it connected to wifi
I have purchased a mi mop in last June and it was seen working for only one month.then it was not working properly and the matter was informed to their services center as required by them.now two months time passed.but alas there is no contact, no response, no action, no message till this time.their after service seems to be unsatisfactory at least in my case.this is for information only
Whoa so intelligent... i have 2 areas in the house, same floor level 1, but only the kitchen have a different floor depth, how do i make it clean the kitchen too?
You can just lift it up and mop as a separate area if the depth of the floor is high. If the floor depth is not high, then just try and see whether the robot can move up by itself or not.

Nope, it will mop on anything, it can even climb on thick carpets 🙂 you'll have to manually remove the mop pad if you dont want your carpets to get mopped.

Thanks @@devin9559 ! The mop is not designed to mop carpets, but I'm lazy.. and I just leave it on haha. But the mop is detachable if you only assign it to vacuum carpets.
I just bought this, but somehow the robot does not have voice message, even when starting to clean, or I ask it to go back to the dock. The robot is just silent all the same. I have set the voice alert notification volume to max, but still no voice from the robot. Does your robot have voice?
That is odd, even with the voice setting turned on. It is still silent?

@@IsaacCheck Thank you for replying. I returned it to the store and they said , perhaps the speaker cable was not soldered correctly or speaker malfunction inside somehow during shipping. Since I just bought it for a week, they promised to fix it. I got it back in 4 days, and the robot now has voice. :0

Hi..want to us, anyone facing problem after udpate the latest firmware version 3.5.8_1110 at your Vacuum 1c?. last week after udpate this version firmware, my vacuum move weirdly and failed to complete the task, do stupid moving backward harshly. really bad the way its moving. when we ask to clean at specific area, my vacuum failed to find that area and then failed to comeback to the Dock for charging. not happen before we udpate the firmware..Already email and report to xiaomi service centre but they never reply my email. really suck the service from the xiaomi.

Yea, surely, I do that all the time haha. But with out the app, there are alot of features you cant use like suction strength, mop water level, ect

Perhaps you got the chinese version insgead of global international . In my case, the seller sells both version and the buyer can decide which one they want. The global is only a few dollar more expensive.
