I must say I am truly impressed🌼 it is very quiet and the suction on this little thing is amazing. I wish I would have bought this before ever getting a Roomba. This one can go under my couch and everything. I love using the remote for it.

@@varunnahar Hi one glitch I picked up is that it stores the map of my house during it's first cleanup but when it explores other parts of my house in subsequent cleanups it does not add the additional rooms to the first map. I always let it leave by itself from the docking station and allow it to return there after cleanup. Do you know the solution or perhaps a good website where I can get help?
Hi thanks for the video, could you tell me if my room has hard floor and a carpet rug, will it change the vacuum power automatically from hard floor to carpet? For vacuuming 2different rooms at different times, will it map the room each time it starts to vacuum? Thanks
1) No it will not change the power automatically from hard floor to carpet. What i do is to run this on strong setting by default.
2) Mapping is done only once. You can, in the app mark zones and the the robot will clean only the zoned areas. Let's say you want the kitchen to be cleaned after dinner, you can then mark the kitchen as a zoned area in the app and ask the robot to clean it at a specific time.

You can mark the area on the map and it will go and clean that area. Its super simple!

Oh and is the mopping function automatically starting after finishing vacuuming or changing from vaccuming if needed? Like does it clean dog hairs then clean dog foot prints after automatically or do I need to set vaccuming and mopping separately?

Yes, it's super simple. Just mark an area on the app and it will not go there. Its fully online.
Hi! Excellent review! Could you please let me know if the robot can be controlled without a smartphone (after the initial setup and scanning have taken place, of course). My question is - can you turn it on and command it to clean without the use of a mobile phone, but manually from a button on the robot itself?
No you cannot, you have to use the mi Home app.
It can operate manually if u don’t wish to use the mi home app

It recognises gaps and drops and no you cannot have 2 maps on this version :)

Hi, do you know if you can change the vacuume direction. It used to go vertically down my hallway now it goes horizontally which is annoying as it keeps bumping the wall x

Yes you can put a little floor cleaner and mop the floors. I do it myself.

Magdalena Klein nope it won’t heat the water. If you want you can put lukewarm water in the tank and mop the floor.
All my house has tile but in the living room I have a big carpet. If the Vacuum has the mopping module attached with water, will it STOP mopping when it reaches my carpet? Thanks Varun.
No it will not. It doesn’t have the automatic mopping detection functionality.

When it’s not used, do you always charge it on its dock? Will it affect the battery life span?
Yes i do, but i make it a point to turn the switch off after it charges to 100%. Continuous charging will 100% deteriorate the battery life

What do you think about the Mi Robot Vaccum Mop P. They've aggressively marketed the mopping feature with that one. It has a separate mopping+sweeping 2-in-1 tank. It's available for pre-order @INR20k. Should I go for it?
Yes you should, Mop p is equipped with LIDAR which is way better than the camera which is on top of the robot which i reviewed. I use this robot everyday and i absolutely love it. Mopping is also a great feature! Go for it

Nope, both function will work together. You can set areas where you want to mop or just vacuum.
How save diffrent maps? My robot can't go from room to room, I have to move the dock. And have 3 different rooms under "Location map" but it won't open the map of that room.

@@pangml214 I have an idea I haven't tried yet. Maybe one could try cloning the app, and using a different instance for each floor or room. Probably two different accounts will be needed, and I don't know what will happen if you have one room/floor currently mapped on the device and you move it to another one and switch the app instance. Will need to try that. Also, I have no idea if there's one unique machine ID that Xiaomi may be veryfing each time the device is being used to ensure it's not being used by two different accounts at once...

Yes, with the help of the app you can mark a zoned area and it will go and clean that particular area.

How can I save the map forever? When I took the vacuum off the floor, the map needs to be setting again, like reset. Is there any way to save the map?
The app does it all for you. You don't need to reset and save the map again and again.
When creating a smart map the first two times it creates a very accurate map then the other 3 times it removes walls and merge zones... Why?
That's weird! Have you updated the firmware? If it doesn't help then reset the robot and start again. Once it builds the map it follows the same map over and over unless it discovers an entirely new area.
@@varunnahar it has the last firmware.. yesterday while the robot was cleaning, the charging dock disappeared from the map and appear way outside of the map impossible to be located by the robot... I think it's time to reset it

No, you cannot, unfortunately. It doesn't support multiple maps.

Yes, on the app you can mark a zoned area and the robot will go there and clean the designated area. There is no way to mark the zones as living room or kitchen. But by way of zoned cleaning you can clean a specific area of your house.

Hi, any issue when it was wiping the wet floor on the coke spillage?
No issues at all. But it's not recommend to mop a liquid on the floor with this Vacuum cleaner. But it works if the area is small and the spillage is limited.

Not really, once the battery is full you turn the charging doc off. Do not keep it on all the times as it will have adverse effect on the battery of the host.

Hi! Can it be programmed separately for mopping or vacuum
As soon as you attach the mop it will start mopping, and as soon as you detach the mopping pad it will start the normal vacuum. It can detect the attachment and work accordingly.

@@fscott28 It's not recommended to keep the mop on the host all the time. Once the mopping is done and then you have to clean the cloth. What you can do is to schedule the vacuum and mopping both at the same time but someone has to remove the water tank and then wash the cloth. Cannot keep the damp cloth attached to the tank for so long.

I have ordered one too and while it has been unboxed after looking at your video and following the instructions on your video . . . what I am unable to do is get it paired with my APP because in India based Mi App, it is not showing this model . . . How can you help me with this because in your video I did see that you you were using the app in India
You need to download Mi Home app and i can confirm it's available in India as well. The pairing is automatic. You just need to follow the in-app instructions.

We could restrict the robot to go to an area, but could we give command to only clean one area like roborock? Have a plan to bought this only to clean my GSD pan.
You cannot command the robot to go to, let's say "Clean the Kitchen"
What you can do is mark a zoned area on the map and direct the robot to go there and clean. It works perfectly.

Shalma Angelica You have to download the Mi Hone app and follow the instructions. It will automatically guide you on how to connect the Robot to your hone wifi.
I downloaded the app and have the vacuum flashing the wifi light but still not connecting. Searches forever and then says nothing found
