The reason there's only 1 side brush, is that on the other side there's a floor tracking sensor that helps map the house. If there was a side brush constantly spinning under the floor tracking sensor, it would interfere with the mapping.

I have been using the Mi robot 1C for 2years every day and cleaning the corners with a cloth i overkill. Just wait until the next day, the magic about robocleaner is that they clean often and thereby the total amount of dust become less and less. And sooner or later something going to move the dust in that corner to the floor where the robot will take it.
2year review from daily use.
1. Pirated filter and brushes are used as xiaomi is insanely overpriced. But they don't clean as good as original, bud good enought.
2. Battery used to be enough to clean the entire home, now it need to recharge 1-2times to do the task.
3. There is a filter that need to be cleaned manually, and you have to disassemble the entire thing to do it. (if you don't feel air blowing out in the back, pick upp your screew driver and find a disassemble youtube video)

If you don't want any mopping, you can take out the Mop and it'll only vacuum

Hi! My mop 2 lite keeps forgetting the map. I make a reset and he keeps the map, but then, when I'll use it again, it forgets the map and start over again, but can't save the new one.

Hi there! I'm planning to get one and your review is definitely helpful in aiding my decision process. I have a question though - As I noticed on the last part of your vid (basic maintenance), the hairs that got picked up will be tangled along with the brushes. Does it mean the vacuum will only pick up fine dust and debris into the trash compartment but not hair?

It’ll pick up hair, but since it’s a rolling brush, you will have to deal with constantly cutting the hair away from the brush.
That is the biggest downside of this product IMO.
But the pros outweigh the cons so I think it’s a great product
is 5 amps socket enough for docking station???
Can we use floor cleaning liquid like AJAX in the water tank?
If I'm not mistaken, the manual says not to use any detergent. So far, I only use filtered water.
I don't rely on this to do all the cleaning. The Robot Vacuum helps to spread out the interval of me doing proper cleaning using an actual vacuum & mop. Before this, I have to vacuum & mop twice a week, but with the Mi Robot Vacuum, that's changed to once a week

I haven't as I live in a studio apartment. But I think it won't be a problem if you pick it up & bring it to another level. It'll start cleaning the new area

When its fully charged, is it on standby mode?i did not turn off the robot but i turn off the charging dock..when i want to start cleaning when i go to the app it stated that the robot is offline, do i have to switch on the robot manually everytime to start cleaning or can i switch it on from the app?
I can switch it on from the app. You might want to check with the user manual as well
What is the height of the robot? Wanna know if it will fit underneath my bed.
Does the dock needs to be always plugged in for the scheduled clean up to work?
If I'm not charging, I'd unplug the dock. Similar like you don't want to always plugin the power to your laptop all the time.

Full auto. Click on the power button & it'll start scanning & cleaning automatically. After it has gone through your house once, it'll have the map of your house, and therefore, you can program it to clean a specific area of your house after the 1st cleaning job
Can it be an actual good replacement to our roborock s5?
that’s subjective. i’ve never used the roborock. However, i am happy with the xiaomi

In my video, I left the mop there. I'm not sure if the robot was smart enough to not release water on carpet, but my carpet is not wet.
I was advised by the sales staff that the robot drops it's mop just b4 returning to its docking station for charging. My unit drops it's mop at different places. I hv to locate the mop after each each. Does it happen when U use Ur robot vacuum and mop?
what do you mean drop its mop? Do you mean the mop module accidentally popped out while cleaning? This has happened to me if I did not connect the mop module correctly until I hear 2 clicks.
@@helmi_finance. Thk u for Ur prompt response. Really appreciate it. I fix the mop module properly with 2 click sound each time I use the robot vacuum . However, by the time the robot returns to the charging dock (probably battery is low), the mop is no longer attached to the unit. I hv to look for it around the house 😅. So I contacted the shop who sold me the robot vacuum. The shop told that the Robot vacuum wud drop the mop module when it's battery runs low before it returns to the docking station. They told me to set the job for the robot vacuum to a shorter time so that it can return to the charging dock with the mop module still attached. I hv yet to try this out. Appreciate Ur sharing on this. Thank u
Hi! Could you help me? I tried the vacuum for awhile it worked, & charged it and now it doesn’t want to turn on. I tried the 3-5secs hold. Lights doesn’t blink now :(

Just bring it up there. The are downward firing sensors to prevent the robot from falling off a flight of stairs

You need the let the robot automatically go through your house 1 time to get it mapped. It will be on your Mi home app after that

you need to let it run on auto first to scan your home. Then the map will be there
Hey man. Great video and review.
I purchased one and recieved it today. Setup of the unit, network and connection to app wets seamless. However, I seem to be missing the 'map management' button on my app and cannot add rooms and manage any map recording.
The vacuum works well and navigates a room but doesn't save the space and will go on a totally new path come a restart after docking.
Anyone else have this issue?

im having the same issue too- the app/mop restarts from the beginning and doesnt record anything once it goes back to the dock- have you managed to find a solution to it?

@@NAMANPATHAK map management started working for me after 2/3 weeks in the mi map - i suggest maybe you give it some time....as for the room selection you would have to wait until your rooms are mapped to do so!

i think you have to bring the vacuum to each floor and press the start button, it’ll run as a new place. The map is just to store history if you want to tell it to clean a specific area I think.

To answer my own question: It doesn't do bad in low light conditions, but it looks more fast and precise in good light

Bought this. The stupidest vacuum cleaner I have ever seen. Keeps coming back to the same (already perfectly clean) spots and doesn’t register a lot of other areas that it leaves untouched. You have to move if physically for it to clean them. Incredibly inefficient. Burns through the battery for nothing.
