Sadece lidar sensör ve bunun getirdiği daha iyi haritalama için bu fark bana cazip gelmedi. @@sinchinwong4787 Thanks for clarifying. Depending on how much of that area is taken by furniture, the 1C can be suitable or may not. I live in a 750 sqft apartment, real cleaning area is ~480 sqft, the 1C can finish the job on one charge only on standard mode, if I use higher power settings like Turbo or Max, it can't finish the job on one charge. Worth to mention, that standard mode should be enough for hard floors, higher suction modes needed only for carpets. The Mop P should finish the job on one charge even on turbo suction mode.

    This is a great video, thank you. I have the 1C, just got it for Christmas, and yes it does a great job on the carpets. I have not tried the mop feature yet. I find it sometimes gets lost especially if it gets stuck on something, like a flat chair leg etc, and it starts mapping out 'new areas' even though they are not new areas at all. I think this is where the Mop P's Lidar would really help. So now they just need to make a robot like the 1C's performance but with the Mop P's lidar and smarts. I also like how the 1C can get under things as it is shorter, it would seem the Mop P would not be able to reach some things in my house due to the height. Also very interesting about the battery, how the 1C drains so much faster. I have noticed this on mine, it can take 3 charges to complete the full house clean, which is a bit of a pain.
    I think the Mi Home software has improved a little since this video was published, as you can set out rooms for the 1C now too, but it does say it is still experimental. It seems to work nicely overall though, just wish it had Lidar so it could map the rooms better.

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  3 года назад

      Thank you for watching! Yeah, there was an update which the room recognition feature. Regarding the navigation, in my small apartment it navigates just fine, but in bigger houses with more obstacles or places where it might get stuck, it may get lost and Lidar would be better in this case. I think over time you will notice places where the robot gets stuck the most and can just place a no-go zone here or find some other workaround. The more you watch how the robot works, the more you understand what can confuse the robot and what to do to prevent such issues. Agree, 3 charges to finish the job is too much, that's why I usually recommend it for small apartments. Is it on max suction mode?

    Which of the 2 is better for corners? And with Miija you cant ask to clean just a specific room?

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  4 года назад +1

      I think they are approximately the same in cleaning corners. They leave a small spot (5x5 cm) right in the corner untouched since the side brush can't reach that spot. The 1C doesn't have this feature yet, but maybe it will be added in the future via a firmware update. There is an almost identical robot vacuum, the Dreame F9, but unlike the 1C it has selective room cleaning and a bigger battery. Actually, Dreame made the Mijia 1C for Xiaomi (Xiaomi is an investor of Dreame), so the Dreame F9 will be a bit better choice.

    excellent comparison. a friend asked me why i bought two mop-p while for a little more i could've bought three 1c. since both robot can mop and let you add virtual wall etc. now i know that i made the right choice because i'd happily trade carpet performance for improved mopping and way smarter navigation in cluttered areas.
    also i noticed that in 1c there's no "breadcrumb" navigation line, you can't even rotate the custom cleaning zone box, let alone room separation. that'll be a dealbreaker to me since with mop-p i could easily divide a bedroom into 2 rooms and each day have it clean A while i put all the chairs in B and vice versa. can't believe the difference the lidar sensor makes!

    In terms of pickup and mopping performance

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  4 года назад +7

      I would say they are equally the same. The MiJia 1C probably does a slightly better job as a mop. The Roborock tho is Lidar-guided so the map is more accurate and the robot is gentler with furniture. In a day-to-day use you wouldn't see much of a difference between the two in terms of cleaning ability.

I remember 1C marked 90m2 on all areas that could reach on silent or likely on standard speed. Is there any improvement on cleaning hard floor on normal vs turbo? Thank you!!!

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  3 года назад +1

      Hi, I measured battery life only on max and min power mode. The 1C battery lasts ~40 min on max mode and ~110 minutes on low suction mode. The Mop P - ~60 min on max and ~140 on min power mode. On average, both cleans 1sqm per minute (the Mop P is a bit faster), so probably the 1C can clean 90sqm on standard mode. If you run it daily, even the silent mode should enough for hard floors. Higher suction modes are mostly needed for carpets. I have only hard floors and almost always run my robot on standard mode since it also helps to prolong the battery lifespan.

      Thanks 😊 The 1C is definitely better at cleaning carpets. I wouldn't say it is much worse at cleaning around furniture. You probably will not see the difference between the two at this point. The Mop P is a better mop but again, if you run the robot every other day, the difference between the two would not be significant. 1. I have an oak-color floor wooden floor combined with dark-grey tiles. Will either of the mops work? I see you are using black-colored tapes to set the borders and am afraid, the mop will think it is a wall.
    2. How inefficient would it be if 1C was to be used in a 2-levels house - as, if I correctly understand, it would be required to erase floor map every time the level is switched...? Thank you in advance!

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  4 года назад +7

      Hi there, no problem let's see how to help you :)
      1. The robots can work on dark tiles as those are glossy compared to dark carpets that absorb light so the robot thinks it's a drop off. I believe both should be fine on the dark floors for as long as those are not carpets.
      2. The 1C saves one map indeed. But if you put in on a second floor, it would start a new map which will not be saved so you can't set no-go zones and zoned cleaning if needed. When you move the robot downstairs again, it would relocate itself and the map will be restored just after you start cleaning. Keep in mind, it has a small battery, so it it not recommended for large cleaning areas.

      Hi, thank you :) I absolutely love the Roborock S5 Max but the 1C is also my favorite device in terms of its cost/cleaning performance. If you are not going to use room cleaning, customize cleaning modes for each room, and save multiple maps, probably the 1C would be a better buy. Also, the no-mop zones is a really handy feature if you are going to use mopping every other day as you have rugs too. I also love Roborock customer support as with the Xiaomi, there is almost no place to go if you have questions with your product. Does that help? :)

    Hey! This might be the most accurate review I’ve ever watched. And I also appreciate your effort to answer all the comments. So here is one from me: I live in a 55m2 house with all hard floor (no carpets) with my cat. Which one of these robots do work better for my case? Thanks again.

      Hi there. Hm it all deoends. Both are good for your scenario but the Mop P does better as a mop. The 1C is a good vacuum tho. If you don't care much about navigation that is a bit more advanced in the Mop P, go with the 1C. If you want a better mopping experience, then the Mop P.

    Your Vid is lit. Since I've been reading comments below looks like you have tons of knowledge in robot clearners.
    Would you help me choose the right robot cleaner for me? House floor is made up of red cement
    (mostly dust is in the floor) a few rags is also in the floor (mostly dust also is in the rugs) and for mopping I would like to get best results.
    Thanks A Lot

      How big is your house? The 1C equipped with a smaller battery and not as efficient as the Mop P in terms of navigation, especially in bigger houses. The Mop P is a bit better at mopping (if you don't bother that the water tank leaks, or maybe this issue is fixed in newer robots). The 1C is better on carpets. The Mop P has a more efficient navigation thanks to Lidar. It also depends on the price difference between them in your country.

      The manufacturer does not recommend adding anything other than water into water tank but I know some users do. I personally never used anything for mopping in my robots :)
