I dont think anyone would be upset if the og charcters made an appearance in the next game and /or got a propper death. I still wanna create my own character if you guys keep going the "create your own stories" route
I love this game and can’t wait for SOD3 but I also would like to say I would really like a feature added to the game where when you are playing coop and your friends/ party members could contribute to the base how they would like to as well instead of just the host having that option
Devs of State Of Decay are so awesome! Love the story narration of these misc events and what things transpired in the State Of Decay world.. Story over a long period is great.. There is no other game really like this.. It does what it does really well and is great at what it does... Love this game... 💛💯😉
We need a bit more depth to this. Marcus is alive if he’s alive in your world isn’t good enough. You’re going to have to meet them or have them written off somehow. You should be able to name at least one character.
I used to record all those radio entries from Sasquatch regarding what the rest of the world is looking like, I’d love to see a collection video of those. Like “This goes out to anybody who has family in the Cincinnati area, you don’t anymore.”
I'm down to glance over the viral origins. Could SoD3 make more apparant the impact of our choices affect either future continued communities or neighboring communities. I did enjoy choosing different leadership styles but I think the endings could be visually more in tune with the leadership. I'm just excited to see how much more dialogue and interaction I'll get to see between characters and communities!
So basically the outbreak happened because some medical industry tried to find a cure for diseases but instead caused a DNA mutation that made zombies.
Will we ever bump into a whole community like the common wealth trying to live normally and we come cross them and it seems their is always some bad members in the community trying to sabotage and those type of groups may end up attacking our base to loot and murder and take hostages? Or more missions and dialogue from enclaves asking for thinks like what Lilly Ritter asked group member to go get her Dads watch etc. or stolen items that need to be reclaimed. Just more misc missions like that added? Possible?
This is my go to game, never gets boring. Just got around to playing through first State of Decay, bought this on release with all DLC really enjoying this too, pleasantly surprised, looks so well on Series X, looking forward to DLC once I've completed story
The music and Horror is awesome in the game itself once you allow yourself to really become engulfed in it and it is really easy to do. Ya get really addicted to the game and characters. There is not really a game like State of Decay 1 or 2 and their world is not for the weak. People have to be protected.. Enclaves and your group need work together or not because their world will get ya killed quick if ya can't truly be strong and fight for you life like your life depended on it. Great Game.😁👍👏👏👏👏
Wishlist for the updates -Survivors relation tab (See who's friends, families and rival each survivor have, including having static and dynamic relations with enclaves, with morale effect on each one) -Add new bases in every Map, including starting to late game bases, to increase differences in every playthrough. -inside tight spaces, guns have different cross hair. Pistols and SMG will have more accurate cross hair and survivor can spot zeds in their minimap if they are inside buildings (they will have more awareness even without scouting). Shotguns have multiplier to be more effective against freaks and plague heart (Cause this gun is always ignored), and long guns like rifles will have a very huge crosshair and accuracy penalty inside buildings (and removes your ability to sense or see zeds in minimap) which forces you to take secondary weapons in cqb unless you have scouting (Assault skill will remove the crosshair penalty inside buildings) (Also I somehow figured out that game can actually define what is a building and what is open area so this is possible) -add morale and workspeed to sidearm and bag Xd gun lovers, and people who don't even love guns will understand that these small guns and the bags are like persons which they fall in love the most and treats them as personal belonging, so maybe giving sidearm and bag to a survivor will give morale bonus and some base building and work speed while removing it or changing sidearm will have temporary morale penalty and work speed penalty so that players will have to stick to what sidearms and bag each survivor has cause players always change sidearms and bag every loot run, and players will have to start re equipping when the community is stable or if the morale is manageable (Idk, even lethal zones becomes easier so adding this stuff will increase some problems somehow?)
I don't care what these Devs say, Marcus, Maya and Ed are canon and are still alive somewhere and I'm still waiting for them to make an entrance. The removal of ready made NPC's and a community You have to join along with the removal of character conversations every time you return to base is what makes SoD2 so bland. You even have an awesome story in Lifeline too. Only Actual story we get in SoD2 is Heartland.
22:00 i just assumed the tutorial takes place a good time before your future non tutorial communities. if you run the tutorial nobody else teaches you the plague cure. if you skip the tutorial that community must exist after the network or red talon has spread the recipe around afterwards.
I wish they could switched the gun on backpack to the right hand side and the melee weapon on the left, chopped zombie on the left and shoot weapon on the right, is look alot cooler if to see both weapon on different side. Hehehe.
Well considering the IRL US Military uses the theoretical occurrence of a zombie outbreak as a training tool for new military planners. The idea of them having a plan for this is not out there. The IRL US's training includes all sorts of zombie types. The rule of thumb as a Military Planner is to plan in the case of everything. Even if it sounds so outlandish. Nothing is ever a zero percent chance.

I didn’t even thing of frightened people just trying to leave the area. Driver says he’ll get you passed the barricade and is either over run by the dead or stopped my the military. That’s a horrifying scenario.

The small town midwest setting of state of decay is absolutely fantastic.

Stowaways maybe? Maybe too cheap (or broke) to pay for alternative transportation and just snuck in when the driver wasn’t looking.

I mean I dont think a lot of the lore is thought through tbh. The outbreak and source and lore does matter, its not just trivial.

If you played sod1 lifeline it literally tells you how the outbreak happened. It was a lab disaster that caused it
