Stuff I always wanted: 1. I always thought it would be fun to have more control over fortifying the defenses of your base. For example you could use construction material and build a section of fence. Building a whole fence all the way around might be too much to animate, but maybe you have sections that need building. Maybe sections that need barbed wire, or boards. Or build a sniper tower that is jutting out from the fence and is more useful. Maybe build a turret. You could go almost tower defense in this regard. Maybe build a handful of crazy defenses, like a propeller shredder, a flamethrower, something fun you get the idea. Maybe you can decorate your base the way you like. Make it feel like your own custom base. This could be a lot of fun. Maybe car paint jobs too.
the lack of customisation is actually game breaking to me. There needs to be some sort of way to determine where your defenders are placed so you can create kill zones, cover fire etc.
Would love to have that option if it could still be implemented at this stage, and I personally have been waiting for some EMT/Sheriff uniform that should have been a part of Critical Response pack but still no part of the game...
In my opinion, it would be beneficial to overhaul the behavior of the zombies during a siege. Currently, it seems as though there may be an issue with the pathfinding for the zombies, as they all rush through a small doorway. This is in contrast to the siege in State of Decay: Lifeline, which feels much more satisfying. Additionally, it would be a good idea to incorporate breakable defenses such as gates, walls, and fences that the zombies can break down at each base.
@thecouchtripper Juggernauts, they are durable and strong enough to withstand getting slammed by a car at 30+ MPH (When reversing, going forward will just damage your vehicle.) and strong enough to move said vehicles, when they swing, and you aren't able to pull away in time. I noticed sieges will contain special zombies when 1 of 2 things is active 1) Multiple plague hearts, I had almost 0 infestations, since I cleared them to raise morale, but specials, namely 2 screamers, 1 feral, and 2 Juggernauts attacked the base during a siege. Or 2) Multiple infestations, I was farming plague samples and only had 1 plague heart left, so I left it alone till I was done, but there was a ton of infestations I hadn't cleared since after clearing them the first time, I didn't touch infestations aside from ones that were needed by quests/missions. and had fewer specials, namely just a screamer and 1 juggernaut.
I think the biggest/best change is that regular infestations don't cause morale loss. That's what made it such a chore. I'm glad only the siege infestations cause morale loss now.
It would be nice to see headlight shadows and increased draw distance on Xbox Series X. Like in this video. The system can do it. Just takes a bit of time to adjust settings. Update looks great. Nice work. Hope to see more improvements visually.
Would still love to see a difficulty that removes freaks and slow down the zombies like the traditional zombie movie experience. Love seeing the attention that this game deserves though. Looking forward to Sod3!
@@unfairplasma1412 this would be so easy to do, and make so many players happy. Options! I honestly wish they'd focus on stuff like this instead of the huge time consuming update they're pushing through and neglecting other potential improvements.
This was an amazing stream by the way. Showed exactly what was coming with good explanations for everyone regardless of how much they knew coming in. Very fun and informative watch. I think all the changes look excellent and am excited to for them to come to the full game. I know giving dates when you don't know for certain can lead to a few rogue comments if it's a little longer than anticipated; but know that giving those tentative dates and ballpark figures is wildly calming for everyone looking forward to the update and very much appreciated. If it needs to get pushed the majority of the community will understand I'm sure. We would prefer things work over shipping in broken states too! Also the prestige reward for seiges was very unexpected and extremely welcome. Can't wait keep up the great work!
I can't wait for this update, all of the changes got me really exited. It is extremely cool that none of the features i consider unnecessary. Keep up your great work guys, i believe that the game is much better with every update.
ScentBlock kills shouldn’t count towards waking up the Plague Heart either, since the zeds don’t know you are wearing ScentBlock until you are either too close or too loud. That could also convince the Plague Heart that you are one of the zeds and go back to sleep.
I have to thank you all for the continued work on the game. It is greatly appreciated. It has come so far from its initial release. I am looking forward to the next game eventually dropping as well
It would be awesome if we could rename/name our bases, and if we could manually send out survivors to selected targets, up to teams of two. And have more in base customization, like decorations, and things like actually see sleeping survivors or them watching tv, or eating, and repairing things, like cars.
Just an idea not sure if anyone has said or thought of it yet... But I loved to see in game the mutation of zombies or people becoming screamers, boaters, ferals and juggernauts.
I was concerned for this new update from the content I saw in the PTR but now I’m becoming more excited and am glad they have fixed a lot of the issues the community has brought up. For Devs to care so much for their game and adding updates after 10 years is really neat. Hands down the best zombie I have played and can’t wait for SOD3.
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate y’all keeping the game alive even though I know for a fact y’all are working hard on SOD3. Thats true love & I appreciate it.
I made a reddit post like 6 months ago about how I thought infestations should have zombies drop a small amount of loot. I doubt that's why you added the feature, but it's really cool to see an idea I posted get implemented in the game!🍻
As always, love this stuff UL, you guys are my favorite devs. Absolutely love the new siege system, could there be a way to potentially turn severity 3 infestations into plague Hearts? That way you can literally continuously just keep fighting the plague forever as long as your community survives on that map. I like having a community on each map but I hate having to restart it each time after I complete all the hearts Much love!
I feel like the changes are good, but they are tedious small changes, nothing that makes me say to myself "wow, this would force me to put more hours into the game". I'd love to see more bases, more customization options for surviors, being able to shape them to.your liking. A huge one for me would be to add a system for survivors to build relationships with eachother, maybe even be able to romance another survivor to a certain extent... This system alone would grant us the ability to kind of play around a bit with our survivors, maybe even RP a bit. If this isn't added for SoD2 then I'm praying its an actual thing for SoD3, the game does feel kinda barren in that department, there definitely needs to be a relationship system, it would make the game 100x more engaging too.
Some things I would like to see in State of Decay 3... A less static map, and deeper crafting mechanics, A LA CDDA style. Second, I would like the ability to toggle more world options off or on, VIZ: If I find other enclaves constant need for help annoying, or if I want to play a true solo adventure, I have the ability to turn them off in UI options. (the same can be said for infestations, or any other side quest type stuff.) I would also like to be able to set up a truly unique base site. Kind of like how Fallout 76 has the shelter creation item, and SCUM has the flagpoles. Similarly, if I want to build on top of a mountain, I can if I can plop down said item. In terms of player characters and role play, I would like to see more extensive backgrounds for each character, and having more of an impact upon the gameplay as a result, possibly with both positive and negative aspects of the same trait. Something that I think is entirely missing from the franchise as a whole, is armor. I would very much like to build up a specialty character as a frontline tank, including their armor, to be nearly invulnerable to zombies, but the downside is stamina regen and movement speed, and it could be that it makes you more vulnerable to humans attacking if you're wearing armor to fight against zombies, and vice versa. Cars are pretty bad in this series so far. I mean that they handle poorly, and feel more like they're gliding across the landscape than driving. Additionally there are many many invisible walls, or stones, or bushes, or dips in the world geometry that will stop your car cold. This is annoying. Also cars in general aren't individually customizable enough. Not only can you not add on custom performance parts, but also you are stuck with the upgraded armor as it is, instead I would like to see modular customization in both areas. And speaking of modularity, guns desperately need this as well. Also, if I shoot you in the head, you should instantly die. Regardless if it's a .22LR or a .308 round. Humans are fragile. Overall, the game is fun, but very much limited, and because of the static nature of both the map, and various subsystems, it isn't aging well, IMO, compared to other zombie games, like PZ, or 7 days to die. More than any of this, however, I would love to see a true co-op mode for SoD3. By that I mean a non instanced game for four people or more, who can work together and benefit them all. As it stands now, it's only valuable to the host player, and thus it's difficult to get others motivated to play with you.
I think it would be cool if you have spaces in and outside the fence where the buildings outside the fence are not protected and could be destroyed by the zombies and maybe add upgrades to make structures outside the base more durable during zombie attacks
One thing you could add is levels and xp to characters. That way ppl wouldn't hit a ceiling with working up stats on a character. Now to be fair I'm not implying that levels should give massive stats. In fact, make it the opposite where they have to work their tails off with only small gains on stats per level. But this can give people more reason to do building and long term play with a team, and give more total hours played to the game. And total hours played means the game lives longer. (Skyrim example.) And it would make it so they wouldn't stop using characters and want to keep using them instead of hitting glass ceilings. It gives them something to always be looking forward to (which adds more draw and captivation traits to the game in pulling people in). Someone is going to say you already have some stat building, but you hit it too fast. And its not the same as levels. And you max it out REALLY fast. You want it to be like... it could go on for a long time. Give people things to build on in a character long term, and possibly INFINITE. current method you glass ceiling in 2 hours of play. ... You could also allow zombies to level up and get stronger also. And add 'eater' class zombies that can eat other zombies to level up. Add a resurrecting zombie. And if it levels up enough it can rezz other nearby zombies. Field boss zombies are an option. Skeleton zombies. Leader zombies and named zombies can be added too. You could also give like 20% of the undead 'TRAITS'. Like traits would be titles that have corresponding stat increases. Eater is a trait. STRONG is a trait (increased damage), traits for +health points, traits for speed, traits for range detection, etc.
Sorry I missed the stream. 2 big questions. #1 How will this update effect forever groups before plague territory❓ #2 How does lone survivor communities effected if effected at all by infestations❓ Thanks. Great work guys
Good job on the game but the last time I played was abt still in 2022 I haven't played in a little while I didn't own a Xbox one so I was playing on my sister's bfs cousins Xbox and when it was 2022 it was fun and I appreciate how hard you worked on the game

I was wondering if you guys could work more on the co op so the guest feels more involved and can use some of the leaders stuff like the blood plague beds because all of my characters are highly infected and it can be expensive using a cure If I could just use a bed instead
I found SoD2 on game pass when I ran out of stuff to do in Halo Infinite's Season 2 last Oct. There's always stuff that can be iterated on, but this game is a masterpiece!
Hello. I want help to solve the online problem with the game. I bought it from the Steam store, but I don't want to contact my friends. I did everything the technical support of the game told me, but no error appears. I want help, please.
This is cool but I want more enclave interaction. Enclaves that can hold more NPC, maybe up to 6. Being able to see them out on the map fighting , looting or driving and walking to various locations in the free world. I'd like to be able to give wounded followers or enclaves medicine / resources without there being a "mission" or prompt to do so. I'd like to see a "bonding" system that allows you to improve or damage relationships with individual NPC based on how they're treated instead of the focus on the entire enclave. Hostile enclaves that will attack your base if left unchecked for too long and possibly steal resources, vehicles that you can recover from their base.
Thank you guys so much for all your hard work and dedication, but could you add in a barricade mechanic in the main game I think that would be a nice touch to the survival experience
What I would love for you guys to add in the game… 1. Can pick any place on the map as a base 2. More different characters / facial hair it does get repetitive 3 More different clothing/customization
Need to make your community to be able to fight better on higher difficulties like nightmare/lethal and have certain commands for your community , also be dope if your friends online can enlist others or bring more from there own communities but this update is dope
It would be cool, especially the influence of the weather on the behavior of zombies, for example, at night they become much more aggressive and faster
4 players can play against the hordes, it's be nice to have 4 players or more play on a map. Also add a new map for the horde mode. Maybe some new cars or throw in a tank for a juggernaut horde.
And big thank you all the time. And thank you again. This game is so cool I find it that I keep on finding new ways to play and new things to do and I’m watching this video thinking this is crazy. first time playing on lethal zone thinking holy cow this is crazy this is amazing awesome all around The GAME even cheers as stuff is just happening crazy go your most awesome character and characters go. Carry your blood plague cures on you! And go!
You must fix the spawn spots and spawn rates of zombies... There is no logic... A place that is cleared from zombies can not spawn zombies because I press the horn of the car... they spawn litteraly in front of me! Come on... Also we need more bases and maps... Give us the ability to expand bases or build custom bases. Give us the ability to make custom automobiles. Lets say place a machine on a pickup truck. Also motorcycles would be interesting to have... Zombies are too sensitive to noise... I mean very... Sensitive...
24:19 the mysterious wandering trader comes up and pays a visit. I love the mysterious wandering traders so much. As a Steam Deck user, State of Decay 2 does not run as well as it should, can we expect some performance optimisations in Update 33? FSR 2.0 might help a lot!
I love how noncommercial they are in the questions. " I can't remember" or " I would hope." Seriously. Your studio is making the game update. Why go live if you can't answer basic questions? Doesn't matter. I won't be updating my game when this drops. I'll just stay offline. I don't need to be bothered by even worse infestations than we already have. ( Thanks for slipping that into the main game covertly, btw.(
great to see your still working on the game, any chance on a game mode that maybe could limit the number of plague hearts on the map at any given time please. I remember back when I was playing, there was so much community management and idiot neighbors and endlessly babysitting them keeping me busy that the number plague hearts would get out of control and I'd have almost no way to combat that. maybe an option that we can set how many plague hearts on the map at once: 3, 5, 8, 12. It just seemed like I was always doomed to fail, when I kinda wanted a more possibility of maybe a perpetual game world that never gets easier or harder.
The number of plague hearts on a map depends on the difficulty level, and is fixed from the start. You don't get more plague hearts popping up while you play.
love the updates, been playing for a long time, but I am not sure if this is the place to suggest features, weather change would be a cool feature, snow, rain, dust storm, etc region locked I guess, if it's not a hard to add feature do look into it, thanks
Please make the time slower, or more realistic, the time goes so fast it doesn’t feel realistic and you can hardly even scavenge or explore before night comes, make the days longer and nights shorter. And please fix the cars sounds, the cars peak out at high speeds, let us pick engine sounds, (v8) would be nice, and change car colour, everything else I love
@@unfairplasma1412 it's stupid, the day goes by so quick, makes the game feel unrealistic, wish i had the choice of how long day and night cycles are, i would choose a longer day and shorter night

Hello. I want help to solve the online problem with the game. I bought it from the Steam store, but I don't want to contact my friends. I did everything the technical support of the game told me, but no error appears. I want help, please.
I think the "Hi People" was wonderful!
So cool to see the new mechanics
What I would love for you guys to add in the game…
1. Can pick any place on the map as a base
2. More different characters / facial hair it does get repetitive
3 More different clothing/customization
Need to make your community to be able to fight better on higher difficulties like nightmare/lethal and have certain commands for your community , also be dope if your friends online can enlist others or bring more from there own communities but this update is dope
Are the wilkersons missions being fixed? Unable to complete the mission where you have to examine bodies.
Yay excited to see this in PTR and eventually in Retail 😊
Why the game don’t have a weather system
It would be cool, especially the influence of the weather on the behavior of zombies, for example, at night they become much more aggressive and faster
when is the bloody update
stfu about the goddamn update
4 players can play against the hordes, it's be nice to have 4 players or more play on a map. Also add a new map for the horde mode. Maybe some new cars or throw in a tank for a juggernaut horde.
That update looks really good
Get what's back on the game backpacks or floated again. I put on a level 8 backpack and it's floating
My question is my plague heats don't sleep an if they do how can I tell
Good update overall but do something about armed zombies not dying with mines
Also, any thoughts on Zombie animals? like a map location with a Zoo.
I think they are saving that for 3
I like those orange spots. Nice art.
Release date?
Still waiting for a way to change 5th skill professions, even if it’s just a book to clear it.
Did you improve visibility within the plague zone? Looks much clearer.
I noticed that too. I loved that hot mist and particles.
That ending lol and so early april?
With next installment please keep the day counter and a way to keep playing after you beat it
When does the update come out been waiting for so long
How does this game get such consistent support. We’re still struggling for infection on halo infinite. Much impressive
Can we turn them off or adjust them in anyway
And big thank you all the time. And thank you again. This game is so cool I find it that I keep on finding new ways to play and new things to do and I’m watching this video thinking this is crazy. first time playing on lethal zone thinking holy cow this is crazy this is amazing awesome all around The GAME even cheers as stuff is just happening crazy go your most awesome character and characters go. Carry your blood plague cures on you! And go!
Prestige!!!! That is Awesome! 👍👍👍👍
Are sleeping and radio animation fixed or still bug?
One thing I'd like to see is breaking down backpacks for parts
You can, as long as they're in your supply locker.
@Joe Swarner oh wow great to know thanks so much
Btw will it add the ability to gain prestige in campaign ?
I love this game and its development/developers.. I have no clue why I only first discovered it in 2023 😬
I think they need to up the cap of legacy survivor and add more mask and outfits specially mercenaries masks
know what would be cool, the ability to siphon gas from vehicle.
Just waiting for an update to increase the survivor limit and bigger enclaves to battle or befriend
Ayo 😂😂 it’s getting unhinged 😂😂😂
24:19 the mysterious wandering trader comes up and pays a visit. I love the mysterious wandering traders so much. I would love to see more opportunities for the mysterious wandering traders to visit and possibly carry even more mysterious stuff , more quantity of books maybe 🎺, eternal guards infinite rage sometimes 🫡 different guns, suppressors, 🏄🏼♂️stimulants🌤🍀🌲🌾🪨maybe that very 🕊🕊🦚mysterious 100 shot 5.56 very rare very mysterious🕊🕊🦤🦚 gun, and more books for sure 🏆🎨🎬🧩🍯
And love this video. Great job posting. I totally appreciate all the updates you guys put up. Really good watch on this one. Good time coming too. Thank you Undead Labs.
And that 100shot 5.56gun it should only be found naturally it is that special actually. Love the mysterious wandering traders. would be cool if you could summon mysterious wandering traders. And it would be cool if they carried all the books and more than one of each book for cardio, fighting, wits, and shooting, Very cool. Definitely add more books to the mysterious wandering traders. Fishing is fun too love that book.
The Mysterious Wandering Trader already has a chance of giving you an eternal guard's infinite rage 👍
Map editor, so can we create our on maps and share with the State Of Decay community. Kind of like Left For Dead.
I hate screamers now more than blood ferals because they spawn behind you and awake a plague heart
Exactly waiting for a feral to rip my throat out and a screamer howls and calls one lmao they glow red so there easy to see but still hidden af
I just can't wait for part 3
Wo is state of decay 3 released date
As a Steam Deck user, State of Decay 2 does not run as well as it should, can we expect some performance optimisations in Update 33? FSR 2.0 might help a lot!
Can we get motorcycles in the game too not just cars, trucks & jeeps
is this update out for the official game or just for the beta?
This all looks really good. I can't wait to try it.
did the update release yet?
It would be nice to reward the Player for not having any infestations on the map with a morale boost lets say +5 morale
SO AWESOME!
( Thanks for slipping that into the main game covertly, btw.(
State of Decay 3 ?
great to see your still working on the game, any chance on a game mode that maybe could limit the number of plague hearts on the map at any given time please.
Hi undead labs thanx for this awsome game are going to see this awsome game on other consoles? It would be awsome!!!
LOVE WHAT I SEE. .
coloca uma opção de tirar o brilho dos olhos dos zumbis, nunca pedi nada
can we get new weapons
love the updates, been playing for a long time, but I am not sure if this is the place to suggest features, weather change would be a cool feature, snow, rain, dust storm, etc region locked I guess, if it's not a hard to add feature do look into it, thanks
Ever notice how night feels like it takes 3x as long
@@unfairplasma1412 it's stupid, the day goes by so quick, makes the game feel unrealistic, wish i had the choice of how long day and night cycles are, i would choose a longer day and shorter night
