I've always considered State of Decay as the unofficial Walking Dead video game, I love the show and playin SOD makes me feel I can have my own TWD story.
Heartland was fun, I liked having more personal characters! Please continue that in the future! I hope the lore can include new enemies. Maybe plague hearts become mobile kind of like the rat king from the Last Of Us 2. It’ll be much more exciting to take those out instead of a stationary plague heart or plague wall! (For state of decay 3 maybe?)
Its a small thing but I hope you can create a survivor in the next one. Kinda like xcom where you can name them and give them a bio BUT they can still Perma die. It would be cool to also say how survivor's relate to another one ie make a family or a couple siblings
Wanna know the lore behind why we cant roll with a squad of 4 community members, id consider fighting in lethal alot more could use a 6 seater for mission followers
Thank you for your game! I've been playing for a month exploring up and down, I really like it! I'm waiting for the third part, shake hands, create! I really hope that there will be more plot in the third part, and so everything is cool!
Why not set a small percentage chance that prepper aunt, Eagle eye, sheriff Jackson and other mission line characters are alive and able to bring into group?
I guess the thing that bugs me about the lore and lore masters. Is the kids dont realize how hard it used to be to keep in contact back in the day. No phones, no txts. Sure a CBs good for 10k. But like walking past someone in the street today. That might be the last time you saw them, when they said they were moving. That is why all those old characters are gone. Went out on a job, maybe got killed. Maybe surviving somewhere else. Sometimes you just have to hope theyre doing alright.
I think the whole Marcus / Maya / Ed excuse of basically saying "it's your headcanon" is annoying to hear because it makes no sense and its applied inconsistently. Why would seeing any of these 3 characters from the previous game even if they died in your SoD1 playthrough be any worse than Chavez / Izzbee dying in your Heartland playthrough but then magically not only coming back to life if you play the Trumbull map but literally forced to be immortal so their story is hamfisted through to the end? It's just not satisfying, either leave it up in the air or relay what happens through whatever way you deem most appropriate but don't just randomly pick and chose who gets the headcanon treatment and who doesn't based on such a flimsy excuse.
Honestly, that’s why I don’t really like these videos, they don’t explain or really even talk about lore. It’s all about “head cannon” which can be detrimental to a story. I’m a writer myself, and I like to leave SOME stuff up to interpretation, but too much is just flimsy lazy storytelling.
28 Days Later... That was THE FIRST modern zombie movies that actually got my heart rate up. I also think it was the first to introduce mast movers. Someone will correct me if I'm incorrect.
In my brain, I imagine that Red-Talon lost access to facilities and materials for manufacturing armor post plague but because the US is so highly saturated with Guns they could commandeer abandoned manufacturing facilities and had easy and ready access to materials and equipment that could be easily tweaked to crank out their specialized weaponry.

Camouflaged mil helmets similar to the Boonie hats please since we don’t have the Red Talon Balaclavas that is all also what’s the status of the infestation update? Game is dryer than the Atacama Desert in lamest boring and uninteresting
It's not an assumption that heartland takes place before state of decay 2. It literally says in the main menu that it takes place between 1 & 2. That's pretty embarrassing that y'all can't get your lore straight. Pick something and stick with it.
I mean even without that, its implied already in the trumble valley map. You can see the places where the plague walls used to be. And one of the story mods there tell you that certain places used to be covered in plague walls.
Not to mention in this same stream they themselves just said Chavez's and izzbee are the few that survive that tell you what happened in Jurassic junction. Which directly relays heartland happened between 1 and 2.
Seem like the game has been watered down quite a bit. Health and stamina has been a mess and so on and so forth. Use to be I could play for hours, now barely make it to the hour. I love the game but it is not the same anymore. I get having mega and super zombies but take away from the rest of game. Just my opinion.

Like it can be an amalgamation of a Feral, Juggernaut, Bloater, and a Screamer! That would be pretty neat I think!

They should definitely get a lore writer for SOD3, i think you can't go wrong with more lore in general
