- If anyone has tips or videos on installing these please leave a comment. This may help some people who have just opened the box to find a bunch of parts but no instructions. It should be fun figuring it out.

the orientation of the reverse gearbox needs to be with the oil fill and breather port straight up

yerf dog 3203 go karts use a separate driven pulley plate that bolts onto the engine plate, under the engine. give that a try.
yes i've seen gemini karts do one in the uk, save a massive ball ache!
Your guessing, using the transmission, the back pulley goes on the shaft of transmission. I am doing 1 now. Mounting transmission under motor, in about 5.00 clock. Making a mount system, design side brackets. On cnc plasma. Transmission has a lot of stress. Needs heavy mounting.
check out the follow up installation video, it worked well. It is also worth considering that you can get a honda C90 style copy engine with fwd-N-reverse (i just put a 110cc in a honda atc70) see latest video!
I like your mecenisam. I think make one gokart .but no have reverse transmision gear idea. Whare you get revers transmition please give me idea

hey, do you happen to have some basic LxWxH measurements of the gearbox? I am trying to model it in a CAD program but I cannot find any good manufacturer measurements online. Thanks!!
hi there, it's now on the machine, so not easy to get dimensions, but any supplier should be able to send you the drawings i would think?
I got brackets made on plasma cnc table.
can you just turn the engine and leave the gearbox on the back? and if you already installed it can you put a video im in the same process thanks

So why dont this reverse gear box come with a drive gear for the long shaft?
it seems possible to mount one half of the torque converter on the shaft, TC's come with a sprocket.
Things i've learned this week.
1: - the matching chain type on the sprocket on this gearbox is 420.
2: - 420 is different to 428, the rollers on 428 chain are bigger.
3: - some TC's come with sprockets to match #35 chain, some also have a 420 compatible sprocket.
4: - i'll be doing a video soon with this reverse gearbox paired with a 6.5hp lifan with a 2:1 gearbox with built in wet clutch.
@@CamberKitesurfing the driven gear shaft on the torque converter is to close to the engine for the reverse kit to take its place isn't it?

This is a link to the torque converter back plate but it's made out if stamp steel. Maybe you can cut the plate, weld another "x" amount of metal on it to fit the forward and reverse transmission behind the engine and use a 40 series belt to compensate for the extended length? I've been wanted to add reverse to predator engines but haven't seen anyone else with that transmission try it. Hopefully this is of some use to you.
