I was away for the weekend and came home to binge your last 3 videos. 😊 Congratulations 🎊 🎉 👏 💐 on finishing the TRT!
And may I just say a bad day in the Desolation Wilderness is better than a good day in the office 😉 which is where I have to be tomorrow, and would prefer the wilderness.
Solo is great, now you know you can do it so the whole world is open to you 😁❤

Wow it got noisy! Welcome back to the world. I’ll miss following you every day.
I’ve been watching 2 vlogs of people on Colorado trail. I can see you enjoying the challenge, especially high altitude. You are an amazing woman and have every right to be proud of yourself. (In my working life, I would never have had courage to cold call/knock on doors. Rejection!) Thank you for sharing, and I know we all look forward to your future videos. Auf wiedersehen! “I’m sad to (see you) go, I cannot tell a lie.”

Love your videos!! For a winter/snowy thru-hike, check out the Northville-Placid Trail in the Adirondacks. NPT is beautiful in summer/fall as well (spring is a mud fest). 138 miles total, but can be done in sections. Also, the Adirondacks in general are a beautiful place to learn winter/snow backpacking.

LOL That must have been odd just getting back only to see people zipping by above in the trees. Talking about culture shock returning to the civilised world. Anyhow, well done. My turn in two weeks from British Columbia. Cheers.

I’m guessing you see less trees laying around in other forest because they are probably logging those areas more than Tahoe. There is some logging in Tahoe but it’s really minimal. The fallen trees do create little habitats and end up breaking down over time or get burned up in the periodic wildfires.

You could look into the mountain to sea trail in north Carolina. Its over a 1000 miles. Theres some one that did it back in 2020 in less than 30 days. I absolutely love your videos. im glad you were of the 5% that finished this hike. Looking forward to your next adventure 😀 by the way its a zip line you saw 😀 and its probably a good thing you didnt see any bears. I hope i never see one other than at a zoo.

Congrats, Julianne, on completing the TRT. Glad you didn't see any bears. I'd rather have the bear canister and not see any bears than see the bears. Two other trails you might think about are The Foothills Trail and the Pinhoti TTrail. Haven't watched anyone do the Foothills Trail so don't know much about it. Watched the Hiking Rev hike the Pinhoti Trail this year and it is beautiful. There is some road walking tho. Anyway, look forward to seeing what is next on your agenda. Have enjoyed following you for the last 2 weeks. Your videos are really good.

Desolation Wilderness didn't used to require bear canisters but so many people were careless with their food that they were finally required. If you had camped at Aloha you almost certainly would have seen a bear.
