    I agree. Technically bikers have to yield, and some do, but I generally move for them since they're going so fast. And they're never rude, in fact they're generally polite. It's all love anyway, we're all enjoying the outdoors in our own ways !

    As a cyclist I always try to yeild to pedestrians. Just like on the road where cyclist and cars yeild to pedestrians. Some verbal warning when you pass a hiker from behind is customary. They are supposed to pass you on the left and you should hear them call out ON YOUR LEFT.

    The Tahoe Rim Trail is so beautiful! But lol wow so weird to see snow in the summer! It seems like you have had good weather so far which is great! Love hearing "river crossin" Lol and so nice that Groceries is keeping the river crossin expressions in her videos too of the PCT! Haha so funny when you mentioned if you like people go counterclockwise and if you don't like people go clockwise! Hope you meet some people though if that is what you wish! 😊

    I appreciate the difficulty of navigating on the snow banks. It reminds me of hiking in the fall after the leaves have fallen leaving the treadway covered. When trail blazes are few sometimes we do need other navigational aids such as FarOut or AllTrails. Love the “River Crossin’s” for your Patreon hoard. 😊 - Jiffy Pop

      @@hikingdancerin my experience my pack feels lighter/more comfortable if it is closer to my body, if the load lifters are more tight the pack pulls less backwards (and sways less) if that makes sense but I don’t want to be smart ass don’t get me wrong.😊

      @@isabelb4246 I really appreciate the tip. Sincerely. For me the closer to my back the more pain, I like the weight to be on my hips mostly… but I think I should play a bit more with the lifters.

    I moved out west after the AT, and I'm kind of used to bikes on trails, but it's still problematic for me. They're often going as fast as they can, and collision would be pretty dangerous. I always move aside, but sometimes I can't move aside immediately. Some bikers are pleasant, some growl at you for existing. I'd much rather walk on hiker only trails.

    why do they not put an eyelet on the bear canisters so one can hang them in a tree situation too ...to prevent the bear from carrying it off or tossing it down the mountain

    I think pedestrians always have the right of way with bikers but it is harder to stop or move out of the way on a bike. They should announce they are coming up on your left or on your right when approaching you as well. That is mountain biking courtesy, or biking in general.

    @maubeecat2910 Год назад

    By the rules, bikers must yield to hikers. BUT! It’s much easier for us hikers to move for them so most of us step off trail. Most cyclists are kind and thoughtful but you do occasionally run into the crazy rude ones. They make it bad for all of us.

    Speaking of the bear can, do you use yours for a chair sometimes.?
