Thanks for the recipe! Now I know that my expensive blender purchase wasn't pointless before I realized that plant-based smoothies are toxic and unnecessary😅
The vitamix is great for anytime you need a super smooth mixture. I have the vitamix I use for sauces/soups and then a ninja for crushing ice or other tough jobs. They all have their place imo.
Wow! Don't know how I'm just seeing this 3 years later. The quality of your videos has really improved.
I don't have a problem with dairy, so I would tend to use cream for the fat. I've not seen a pudding that uses cooked eggs before now.
Cheese cake.
Alexander O'Hanlon now that you said that I bet some lemon would be good.
I have problems with milk and whey but I have no problems with heavy cream. I've grown more and more intolerant of whole milk. I literally wake up feeling dizzy. It was so strange.
I make this every Sunday, it’s very tasty. I tried it with raw yolks and it was also very good but I find using whole boiled eggs just like Dr. Baker did makes it very creamy and very good
High fat whipped cream, Coco powder and Stevia delicious as hell. Maybe once a year
I do plain Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, and stevia. Delicious. Only on occasion.
Also, Oikos Pro plain yogurt has 25 grams of protein, where heavy whip has none. There are just a few carbs, 6 I think, in a serving, but I'll sacrifice that for the 25G of protein. 😊
I’ll definitely try it with Organic Ghee instead. I love the flavor of Ghee! Thank you for sharing!
You can make a Japanese version of a savory egg custard called Chawanmushi. It has dashi broth, but you could easily make this with pork or beef stock and eggs. No sweeteners. All you need is a steamer and you can make it on the stove top.
That’s not a desert
This is so yummy! I made some the other day. Was delicious. Who said this diet was restrictive?😁
Cooled or warm boiled eggs?
Carnivore is extremely restrictive.
Restricts diseases, aches and pains
I like - when the sweet tooth bites - custard. 3 egg yolks, 1/2 cup cream, 1/2 cup of milk (yes I know it's a grey area for carnivore), sweeter of choice to taste, vanilla (real) + 1/2 tsp of gelatin to help it set otherwise can turn out to be a bit sloppy but not vital.
Do you blend this up with ice cubes or do you stick it in the freezer periodically checking it and stirring it?
helen b so, not hot water for the gelatin? Is this recipe baked (as a custard) or blended as the doctor does? Cooked or raw egg whites?
Ooh that sounds awesome. I will try. No grey areas here for me :)
What I do - I suggest you experiment to get it to what you like - also it's a "cheat" way to get my grandkids to eat carnivore at mine. Just checked my recipe - I underestimated the amounts.
Mix 1 to 1 cups of milk and cream + 2 tsp vanilla (stir over low heat till almost boiling. Strain into a heatproof bowl. 6 egg yolks, can add 2 tsp tapioca flour (arrowroot - depends on what country you live in as to terminology) and/or gelatin. Add sweetener. Mix these together (will resemble batter). All this in the saucepan you used earlier. Slowly add the milk/cream mixture, stirring as you go. Onto stove and stir until thickening. Eat hot or into fridge to set in bowls etc. Nutmeg sprinkled on top if you like. The egg whites I use for pavlova - dead easy - again carnivore.
Mine is 3 egg yolks, 3/4 cup cream, Vanilla, light honey. Cook, whisking, until beginning to thicken, add large teaspoon gelatin, stir well to dissolve, pour into dish/es. Chill until set. Devour.
This recipe is great without any sweetners
Lol!! Doctor measure: eyeball size
😅
He said "eyeball it, about a teaspoon"
Baldheadedchimp ha. Did he?? My bad. 🤪
Shirley Peters eyeball amount of vanilla would be a little overpowering. 😜
Baldheadedchimp Yes! I was wondering if he meant the full size popped out variety, or just the angle we see every day! Did my head in.
You should make Steak & Butter Gal's egg pudding with a little vanilla and monk fruit sweetener. It's really lovely.
She is a nutcase.
I thought hers was just okay. I wouldn't make it again.
After watching some video and doing some research I started the carnivore life style. I’m doing it in hoping it will reduce joint inflammation and whatever else.
Yes you will not be disappointed but remember it is consistent and slow hang in there
This would turn into a binge in my kitchen 🤦🏼♀️
@Primal OMADYep !!
I have a Vitamix . It’s a great machine but I went from using it daily on Keto to hardly ever on carnivore. CV is so simple. That’s part of the appeal
I eat so much jerky now. Easy peasy.
Yes we barley need to think what we are going to eat
Same.
I use mine for pâté and coffee. That's about it.
Carnivore diet made my kidneys bleed into my urine…too much protein and will kill you early, that is a carnivore diets, talk about shortening your life. Look up carnivores that got a lot of muscle but died before 60 or younger.
@@milomakes sorry it didn’t work out for you. Since I’m almost 70 I think the carnivore diet will see me out and I’ll be well pleased even if it’s only a few more years as I’ve had a good life. Judging by the way I currently feel though, I think I have a lot more very high quality mileage left.
You could also use glycine for sweetener if you don’t like the others. I’ll try tonight…thank you!
I use glycine for anything that needs sweetener but I don't like my foods very sweet, even desserts.
The key to filming with your phone is to use your phone's display to see what you are doing. That way you are showing your watchers everything that is important about the recipe
I wish he would start to use 16:9. Looks so much better and you can see what the heck is actually happening in the video. How hard it is to turn the phone sideways.
Maria Emmerich makes this with cocoa, as well as ‘french toast flavor’. It needs to set, overnight is good.
Yes. With coconut milk and almond milk, powdered swerve.
@Yolo Douchebag Maria has her chocolate pudding recipe on her website
Choco not carnivore more oxalate
I think German style cheesecake made with eggs, heavy cream and full fat quark, and using vanilla and a little monk fruit, Lou Han or other natural alternative (healthy) sugar, would be ideal as a pudding. Without the biscuit base of course! Anyone tried it? 🙏💖
What is full fat quark(?_*)
@@BUNeekification it's kinda like a cross between yogurt & cream cheese
no gelatin powder?
@@BUNeekification It's a 40 percent fat dairy product they make in Germany that is ever so slightly acidic. It is much thicker than yoghurt and very thick and creamy. I used to add a few drops of vanilla extract to eat but now my taste buds have changed and I can do without - makes a nice carnivore dessert!
@@shinskoala7072 No, I don*t think so. I think the eggs are enough to bind it and then it's baked. Comes out pretty firm.
I'm looking forward to trying to make a desert with boiled eggs.
Never occurred to me! Thank you!
Been experimenting with pork rinds, grounding them up for batter gonna try to make pizza crust out of it too
Cool recipe! Definitely wanna try this! Found a recipe for Flourless Fluffy Japanese Cheesecake that's pretty much Carnivore but of course not dairy free. Yummy tho.
Thanks Shawn! Definately trying this. I have made Steak and Butter Gal's steamed pudding but my husband might like this better! I had not made Maria's version since we do not use almond or coconut milk.
Just because she makes a video doesn’t make it HER video- she never credits
I make brown butter bombs all the time. I have experimented with making them with sugar substitute, vanilla, pecans, macadamia nuts, coconut flakes, and cinnamon. Not all ingredients are in the same batch. IWhipped and non-whipped. Even tried flavored oils like red hot cinnamon, maple, and coconut flavored oils. My favorite is still brown butter with bacon crumbles. Your imagination is the limit. I think you can figure out which ingredients are for ketovore or carnivore.
Thank you for this Dr. baker! ✨ 🥚 ✨ Very tasty after being in the fridge a few hours. Easy meal prep too! 🙌
Interesting, so we now have Chef Baker inda house. 😆
That would be great to make for a Thanksgiving dessert!
I just made this today. I actually think it's pretty good.
Maria’s recipe can be made with soft scrambled eggs (cooked). Does not have the sulphur odor of making it with boiled eggs. Going to try that. Thank you for showing this as carnivore. I definitely needed this!❤
as long as you refrigerate overnight the eggs (hard boiled) no longer have the eggy sulphur odor.
Awesome recipe, I want more recipe videos please
Sounds delicious 😋 I might try half that recipe later.
Top woth cinnamon and monk fruit sugar type and blow torch that brown gently. Creme caramel!!
Does it taste like custard? If so nutmeg and monk fruit for like an English egg custard type.
If frozen for a bit, wonder if it would have ice cream consistency? 😁
I don't think so.
@@Joshtheloserkingya, it might separate. Frozen hard boiled egg whites are gross
Thank you! I'll be making this soon. :-)
I made this one with chocholate flavoured protein powder. I have a lot of berries to harvest in my garden soon so I will try to make something with that also.
👍
Interesting. I just started making brown butter, and yesterday I tried making a mix of cold whipped brown butter with Russian custard (recipe is from gaps diet book by Natasha Campbell Mcbride - it is literally useful raw egg yolks, honey and vanilla - see a video on it by bumblebee apothecary.
Its delicious as is!).put it in the freezer with 2 chocolate chips per square. (Or none, or whatever, a lot!) Omg delicious! It tastes like cookie dough!!! Without all the junk!! So I found this recipe because I was looking for a recipe for what I just attempted. Looks like no one's done it before! Hope you try it out - I think you'd probably like the raw egg a lot more than using boiled eggs here. Use real quality eggs if you're eating them raw. I use organic pasture raised - I'm surprised that I sleep so well after I eat this!! I think it's the amino acids. Today I made a butter Pecan version for my husband- so I toasted the pecans in the brown butter. I don't have this perfected, I wasn't sure how long the pecans would take and did want the butter to brown but did not want to burn the pecans. Next time I might do them separately. The addition of raw egg yolks is surprisingly amazing!
This looks interesting but I don't know... I'm skeptical. I think I'll stick with my Blueberry/Cranberry jello and frozen browned butter egg bites.
Cheers 🎉
Awesome, more recipe videos please
Eggs were 48¢ a dozen at my local Aldi's who said carnivore had to be expensive.
They are 5 or 6 bucks a dozen here.
If you were to use raw honey in place of the monk fruit it would be more carnivore! I understand some people want to avoid sugar completely but for those of us who can handle it try that instead! Raw honey is full of healthy benefits.
You could probably do both. Use a bit of honey, but not heaps, and then the monk fruit or some other natural sweetener.
@@travv88 definitely. I currently make a raw chocolate milk and use raw honey and stevia. Im not trying to stay super low carb so I do about 1-2 TBSP honey with some chocolate and vanilla stevia drops.
Recipe is:
16oz Raw Milk(grass fed/finished)
1 TBSP Raw Cacao
1/2 TBSP Dutch Cocoa
1/2 TBSP Regular Cocoa
3-4 Ice Cubes
4-6 Raw Egg Yolks
10-15 Chocolate Stevia Drops
4-6 Vanilla Stevia Drops
1-2 TBSP Raw Honey
Redmond Real Salt
Blend and enjoy! Been drinking this everyday for about a year now.
@@MochaZilla Hey thanks for this recipe!! No access to the Raw milk maybe organic milk? I have everything else. I will check Sprouts again and see if they have any Raw Milk. Out here in the SW desert hard to find. Thanks again
@@anybodyoutthere3208 sure thing! And check out getrawmilk.com, realmilk.com, and raw milk Institute to see if there is something in your area!
It wouldn't be keto carnivore though
I’ve been making carnivore pudding for decades. I make it with eggs, milk, vanilla and sweetner. It’s called custard.......
I’ve never seen egg custard/pudding made with boiled eggs. Interesting. Lot easier if you don’t have to peel eggs.
I made it with cream n eggs n vanilla essence plus sweetner n it was unbeliebably delicious. First time with cream!
Do you guys all use boiled egg or do you cook it. Also do you use cream cheese ever if you do dairy. I don't wanna go keto crazy but I need 2 or 3 good sweet hit recipes to stay on wagon. Or do I 🤔😂?
You make custard with egg whites, Grace? Dude is putting a video out there for people to watch for free; the snarkiness is a bad look for you.
@@aidanpoulter9514 I feel the same. Here are some sweets I use to help stick on keto that are home made.
1. Cheesecake Fluff: Whip 8oz cream cheese with 8oz of heavy cream and 1/2 cup powdered sugar alternative. We use swerve. You want to whip the cream cheese first and slowly add the cream, mixing it in fully before adding more. It makes it smoother. Feel free to add some sour cream or vanilla for a more cheesecake like flavor. I add peanut butter and it's similar to peanut butter pie filling. If they are in season I will top my fluff with berries.
Keto coconut pudding by low carb yum
Rebel ice cream - store bought
Lily's chocolate - store bought
Keto peanut butter cookies
Keto blue berry pancakes w/ sugar free syrup
I've never used boiled eggs to make something sweet. This seems odd but I may try it.
I'll have to tell my mate Harry about this.
It didn't include ice cream, so he won't be interested.
We all know he just scoffs it in the background behind the camera.
No one believes he eats that slop he showed on the livestream. 😆
😂😂😂
The gelatin would be right up his alley though 🤣
I guess he's finally living up to the name 😎😎👍
almost baking. there is vanilla and boiling.
Thank you for making video!
Even better when I use soft scrambled eggs in butter rather than boiled. Either way it's yummy! 🎉
The smell of cooked eggs makes me vomit xD My version uses vanilla casein, raw eggs, double cream gelatin powder and ice cubes and is as close to panna cotta as you can get
Please share your recipe!
Sure! It’s dead easy. In your blender, Melt 10g of Great Lakes gelatin in 150g hot water, add 75g organic double (heavy) cream, 50g myprotein vanilla casein powder, 2 organic whole eggs, a pinch of salt and if you like, a dash of vanilla essence. Blend for 30 seconds until smooth. Add a handful of ice cubes and a further 150g of water. Blend until smooth. It should be cool and beginning to set. Pour into a 600ml bowl and chill in the fridge for 15 mins. You can play with the quantities a bit and it will still set, but you must use casein not whey. If it comes out too thick add a little more water, or if too watery add a little less next time. Either way it’s always delicious! Enjoy! 😁
lordbeebop Thanks so much!
@@cr1spbeatzplz 👍👍👍
Casein makes me itch, might try with whey or as done with eggs.
Thanks for the variation
i think i'll try it. ty
Oh.. this looks very promising. I dont avoid dairy, so would disolve the gelatine in warm cream instead. Will try this soon!
I look forward to trying this! ❤
I am anxious to try this.
Definitely going to try this
Why boiled eggs?
Like they say, the proof is in the pudding. That looks delicious Shawn!
Does leaving all of the yolks cause it to taste eggy? Maria's egg white based version isn't eggy after refrigerating but I would like to use the entire egg. This is a great idea! Update: I made this today and it's good! I admit that I used quite a bit more sweetener since I still like sweet, but, baby steps!
Maria has a version like this except it calls for almond or coconut milk (therefore not carnivore) and she says leaving it covered and in the fridge overnight takes away the eggy smell and taste. I've done this (using coconut milk) and found it to be true.
Egg yolks are more nutritious than egg white
Looks good! Thanks for sharing. Would you ever talk about cholesterol going into some detail? I would lo love to hear from your perspective about it. Since eating carnivore, my cholesterol has gone up really high. Doc freaked out, but I'm not. From my understanding, high cholesterol is not bad, but want to hear your experience and opinion.
i think he has
RUclips

@@johnkane9472 Lot's of stuff! Thanks
Anna, I believe Dr. Baker said those various cholesterol types test ranges are only half-way reliable for people who eat the Food Pyramid Diet.
@@lindasunderlin6936 Thanks LInda! I've been listening to the carnivore experts podcasts on cholesterol. I am feeling more informed and relieved.
That looks really good gonna have to try that one !
That looks delicious!
Makes me wonder what 3 whole and 3 whites would turn out. A shot of some carb free dairy of some type might help it along.
Maybe 1 tablespoon gelatin powder?
That blender was close to taking flight lmao
That looks good and versatile. Carnivore lemon pudding topped with clotted cream on top a strawberry extract butter chaffle for any that likes texture combinations. This also looks like it could be a egg nog with rum extract. 👍

Looks yummy! Thank you!
You should show yourself eating it so we can see your reaction.
That looks good ill definitely be trying it!
Love my carnivore docs! ❤
Why are you avoiding dairy ?
I'm curious. I'm 52 a little younger than you are. I've been eating a lot of cheese. Feeling relatively healthy. Carnivore for almost 1yr.
Eczema almost gone.
Dairy causes my eyes to itch, but it also puts weight on quicker than I can blink! I can snitch occasionally, but doing it every day, or at least more often, I can see weight gain. And years ago, when I was experimenting, found that when I cut it out, the psoriasis on my elbow disappeared in 2 weeks. I had also tried raw cow milk and raw goat milk.
Aged cheeses or Grass Fed is ideal. Trader Joe's has grass fed New Zeland Cheddar pretty low in price. Aged cheese has less lactose.
I just took my daughter (well all of us) off of dairy. We eat relatively healthfully with the occasional treat. She’s had horrible eczema most of her short little life. She is only 3.. within a week of diligently eliminating any and all foods/condiments/snacks/drinks containing dairy her skin completely cleared of her painful eczema that was on her legs, arms, neck and face. I couldn’t believe it. I’ve tried every cream available (otc and rx) any home remedy I could find on good ol google. I’m just grateful to have found something to finally give her some relief. I was so skeptical that it could actually help but my god, I wish I would have done this a year or two ago.
Toblerone Hoblerone that’s wild! From what I understand it’s the casein/ whey or milk proteins that are the issue within dairy. Milk itself isn’t so much of an issue as it is the products containing it like cheese, ice cream, pizza, Mac n cheese, ranch dressing, yogurt, chocolate, caramel, cookies, cake. We usually don’t eat many of those at home (I always put cheese on our salads and let them eat block cheese or string cheese and then yogurt and berries.) I could go on and on, it’s in many things you’d never think. She was having either cheese or milk or yogurt at every meal in daycare bc they try to hit all the food groups.
So I have a dr note for her daycare to make other provisions for her and I’ve found many substitutes or eliminated things that can’t be. I don’t feel restricted which is nice but had to get a little creative. But the payoff makes the struggle so worth it
@@belove751 type A2 milk doesn't have the casein which causes problems for many people (or it can't be split by us during digestion like it can with type A1).
IMPORTANT info left out - how many min were these eggs boiled? or are these hard boiled eggs?
@beverlyannsjoblom
hard boiled or medium boiled both will work.
@promenadable Hope you have notifications on to get your answer! (actually I copied it from the response to the very same question which was placed below yours, your YT page must be sorting them differently.)
Very cool
Looks wonderful if you wanted a twist a lil bit of maple syrup on top would be nice.
How much gelatin did not touch on that
Interview Ben Greenfield ASAP you both deserve eachother!
What type of gelatin was used? Great Lakes- green canister?
I have a question for the carnivores:
I will be doing the carnivore diet for next 30 days, can i just eat ground beef, or do i have to eat steak too?
Yes ground beef is a very economical way to eat carnivore
Add a pat of butter
My go-to breakfast is a pound of ground beef, an ounce of raw lamb's liver and around a quart to half a cup of whatever dairy I have on hand (cream/sour cream/yogurt) plus some spices salt n pepper etc. Keeps me satiated all day.
Ground beef is the only beef i consume. Steak is very chewy for me, if that word exists...
@@mikelroa8719 yes steak is very han and chewy ;)
Looks like you can almost get all of it at Costco
I don't think that I would like it sweet even if I wanted some kind of dessert. That reminds me of deviled eggs or egg salad so I would want it to taste like that. Looks pretty interesting though.
Right! I'd rather eat egg salad.
Thumbs up! Could I use butter for fat?
I am
Thanks for sharing Shawn. Which beef gelatin do you use?
gelatin IS carnivore already
Thanks!
Is all protein powders good on carnivore? Or what should I be looking for? I e been purchasing what I can afford
Add a bit of salt and it may taste even better ;)
I make it eith raw eggs and bake a few minutes
Can someone rrecommend a brand for grass fed beef gelatin powder?
Carnivore pudding sounded disgusting, but it seems legit. I may give it a try.
Word. I was afraid to click lol
nino nikki, I would think that would have an off putting sulphur flavor... please post your results. I would also wager the farts would be most dangerous.
@@samuelspade889 Eggs don't cause farts unless you mixed them with fiber.
Not sure this is truly carnivore with all the plant/fruit addition . Understand got to change it up a bit and sometimes not be such a 'strict carnivore' and occasionally plant spice or monk fruit probably won't be harmful
Dr. Baker, when does the potty issue get better?
If you got diarrhea, try to lower the amount of fat you eat for a while. Then slowly increase again later on.
its kinda like a sweet deviled egg filling
Doesnt lard make it a little "meaty" taste? Gotta have to try that, damn!
Lard always used be used to make pasty, it wasn’t “meaty” tasting.
Leaf lard is really mild
Not refined lard from the store. It is just about as tasteless as you can get. All pies and cakes and pastries were once made with lard. I grew up in the south eating fried apple pies, bundt cakes, and cobblers all made with butter and lard.
Someone needs to invent a blender that is powered by a small, internal combustion engine for blokes.
Have you ever seen the top gear v8 blender?
2stroke at that!
I misread "blender" as "bladder" and I was wondering what on Earth you were talking about for a moment lol!
sounds great, why hard boiled eggs ? don't kill your Vitamix .
Omg I thought those were raw uncracked eggs for a minute! 😅
Could this be made with raw eggs or would the consistency not be correct?
I'm sure as heck making it with raw eggs. His way sounds unappealing to me. Helena B in the comments below has a good recipe.
Vegan blender approved :)
lol, I am always trying to find ways of using my 770 dollar blender I forked out for 9 years ago lol.
I'm new to the carnivore diet so correct me if I'm wrong but, doesn't the plant based sweetener and cinnamon go against the concept of 'carnivore' diet?
Cinnamon is an oxalate issue I won’t use.
Can I also try this with raw egg n butter just in case if I don’t get tallow with little bit of stevia
A Vegan add came on before you stared,🤣!
Hard boiled or soft boiled Eggs.. Unclear as mud and enough of the counter scenes and more specific details Bud!
So.. vanilla and cinnamon aren't plant products? Monk fruit isn't a plant? Not very carnivore.
I made this. Thanks doc for contributing a recipe. I’m sure it helps some people. However this is much too eggy for me so I won’t be making it again. I had to add a lot of “fake” sugar to make it palatable. Plus it’s a lot of work to boil and peel all those eggs. Why not just scramble or patch them since you’re putting them in the blender anyway?
Im trying to imagine eggs that taste like vanilla🤔
Never thought I'd see a carni rely on a blender
Oh yeah. Comes in handy. I make pancakes out of ground lamb and eggs thanks to my blender.
Can I use butter instead?
