    10 years ago I was diagnosed with kidney failure. I went vegan and did intermittent fasting. I stayed off dialysis, got off insulin, cured my T2D.
    Intermittent fasting and going vegan was the best decision Ive ever made.

    What you put in is a serious thing. My granpa died last yr at 93. This dude got up every morning and ate ONLY fruits for breakfast, 1tablespoon of honey & one of olive oil. Lunch was fish or some meat with provisions like cassava, beet, dasheen etc. Very very rare he would eat flour or fried stuff. He always said "you must not eat too much". He was slim built, lived on his own & go have an occasional drink with friends at the bar. But he was always out the house. He told me "eat right, and never sit down in a house all the time like most old folk. Get out and socialise". I believe him percent. I was over weight & made the effort and adopted his diet. I lost 50lbs in two months...my blood pressure & sugar levels are great. I use medication for my glaucoma, and i have never gotten the kind of readings i get now with that new way of living (i no longer call it my diet...its my new way of eating).

    Beets are high in oxilates, grape tomatoes have the lowest oxilates in all tomato varieties. Walnuts are a good choice and low in oxalates, but pecans are even better. Coffee is great, but don't over do it. Fasting is do able by so many. Never thought one meal a day OMAD would be so easy. Early morning walk can't hurt. I'll check out berberine.

    kidneys CAN regenerate tho, we used to think they couldnt now it is known that they can regenerate and heal themselves pretty well after a few weeks if you treat them with tlc. even if you are on dialysis they can come back from that if they are still in tact and alive. dont lose hope if you are having kidney issues, listen to here and dont give up! dr berg will not steer you wrong, all of this can help with other parts of your body as well. to those reading take a deep breath and have a great day!

    I only know of 3 people who got off of dialysis and they did it on a carnivore diet. Doctors want you sick remember that, without you their bills aint paid. Sounds effed up but i been on dialysis for 3 years and ive seen with my own eyes 3 people from my clinic get off of peritoneal dialysis with basically an all protein and fat diet, low to no carb diet. Im working on being the 4th currently.

      Try your best, we believe in you that you will overcome it. Remember that you should not eat too much of other foods because too much of anything is not good, so it is not necessarily a bad thing to eat, so you should moderate everything to keep yourself healthy. More comfortable and not too restrictive

      I read online that too much protein is not good for the kidneys. What's your take? I'm on a crash course because of my Mom. Found out she had stage 3 off of the doctors summary notes that I found online. DIdn't tell us in person.

    • @Piper7cub
      @Piper7cub 26 дней назад +2

      @@SB-gl4lh That seems to be the question. I have heard people say that you need to limit protein when you have kidney disease and I have heard other people say that protein is not the problem when it comes to kidney health. Some say it is the oxalates found in food that cause kidney damage....i.e. spinach is high in oxalates. A lot of people swear by the carnivore diet for healing a lot of things but it seems that your body needs other nutrients and micronutrients / microorganisms (good bacteria & the fiber that feeds them) that you might not get 100% from meat.

    • @foodiethebeauty
      @foodiethebeauty 14 дней назад

      lol doesn't make sense because high phosphorus and protein foods are terrible for the kidneys according to the doctor I saw recently.

    • @11kwright
      @11kwright 6 дней назад +2

      @@Piper7cub Just try the carnivore diet. It seems it helps a lot of people and you are right, many doctors say it’s not the protein in the diet that causes problems and they stand by the carnivore diet. I feel this is another medical advice that has gone wrong and beginning to come out. Try the carnivore and see if you can also ferment your vegetables and have some with the meat. Try also, grass-fed pasteur-raised meat as nutrition goes up immensely. Have some offal liver meat too. Our bodies are made up of bacteria and it’s these bacteria that we must feed to be healthy. I’ve just finished a 21 day fast due to foam in my kidneys. Experiencing practically zero to no foam in the toilet. Also, have a spoonful of cloves with herbal teas and cook with ghee, a lot of turmeric, cayenne and use Celtic salt. If you gonna do the carnivore diet do it properly. Fish, meat, mainly red as higher in omega 3 than chicken and pork although have some chicken (mix the meat throughout the day but predominantly beef) and a little fermented food at the side, some fresh organic berries, herbal teas, you should be good to go. Go for it and eat clean is key. Be that 4th person to come of dialysis.

    I had kidney stones years ago and do not wish to experience this again. I started drinking a pressed lemon juice diluted in a quart gallon of water (1 liter) every day. I started in the morning with a glass and continued all day long. After one year I went to see the nephrologist for a checkup. He told me that my kidneys were now in the right size and working well. He added I do not know what you are doing, but it is working, and you do not need surgery anymore. After 8 years, I do not have experienced any kidney issues.

    As a Social Worker at a Dialysis clinic, this video hits very close to home for me. I witness the effects of end stage renal failure up close and it’s tough. My patients are so sweet, and many of them are hurting both physically and psychologically. Depression is very prevalent within this population, understandably so. I wish I could make it all better for them, but sometimes all I can do is be a listening ear and pray for them. One of my patients told me just yesterday, she said “Precious, please whatever you baby, take care of yourself so you don’t get diabetes.” I am definitely watching my sugar intake now, amongst other things.

He's diabetic and his regular doctor wants him on insulin. I can tell when his sugar is up because he has to pee every 15 to 20 minutes. Its been a painful journey watching him decline, he's my best friend.

    Lemons really work for this if anyone is wondering. I was having pain and was diagnoised with a stone. The Doctor told me that it was too big to pass on my own and that I would probably have to have it removed. I went home and squeezed several lemons into a gallon of water and drank the whole gallon in one day. I felt the stone come out and never had another issue.

    There appear to be so many remedies for kidney related issues such as waking in the night many times which I have been having for more than 10 years. Ever since I started ketogenic diet and OMAD, my diabetes is virtually gone, I am insulin sensitive, have a very good BMI and the best of all is that I seldom wake up even once a night to urinate. My Fitbit says I get about 1.5 hrs of deep sleep and about 1.25 hrs of sleep interruption, resulting in solid 7 hrs sleep with sleep score always above 80%. Thanks to you Dr. Berg for producing these wonderful no frill videos that helped me to change my life style around. many thanks to COVID as well. By the way after taking medication for diabetes for almost 20 years, now I am free of any medications. I am 64 years old and am in best of health that i have never been before. thank you Dr. Berg, you are a gem and blessing to our humanity.

      In advanced renal disease stage 4 your kidneys cannot process potassium and most patients are on an ace inhibitor to slow down progression which can increase potassium levels. You can still eat foods rich in potassium but not frequently or you’ll need to take a potassium binder. Check with a nephrologist not a chiropractor please
