My uncle is Detroit mech. A guy running FedEx FL to CA 2 trucks Series 60s. Brought one in for a rebuild at 1.3 million. He ran Amsoil 50k miles changes and 25k filter changes. My uncle said every part inside could have been reused.
This is all preference, as long as you change oil regularly and don’t do extended changes ,oil get dirty and lose additives . I recommend no longer than 5k miles. Do waste you money on extended 10k to 15k oil way to long. My preference is Pennzoil platinum, made by Shell, they make Rotella T and extremely heavy duty oil for diesel that have been proven for years.
I’ve been using Valovline full synthetic never a problem 0-W-20 which the vehicle I drive calls for it . Stamped on the Oil cap . Another good one is Amsoil first in synthetics .
ultra the best deal for a long time walmart and amazon 5 quart jug for 25-30. amsoil is same but over twice as expensive at napa. mobile and kn filters are good and run some seafoam in oil before changing oil.
Its all I use full Synthetic Mobil 1 extended performance 20,000 mile oil. But no oil filter can last 20,000 miles. So at 3,000 miles I change the oil filter put a new one on add a quart of oil and go another 3,000 mile.
Mine last that long.....but I don't let them last that long. 7500 mile intervals based on lab testing is my comfort zone. The more important filtration part is your air filter. AMSOIL is life.

SP oils are excellent, regardless of the brand. There is a reason the API exsists. Surprisingly, SJ engine oil (even in 5w20!) can still be found on gas station carry out shelves. But hey, the "wrong" oil is better than no oil in every scenerio.

Just one question, if my engine fails after 20K miles will the guaranty replace the engine or does it just replace the oil ???????
Never seen a survey that didn't have valvolene, castrol, and mobile one in it.

According to project farm it goes like this #1 Penzoil ultra platinum
#2 Valvoline extended protection. #3 Castrol edge. #4 Mobile 1.

Pennzoil ultra platinum 0w20 is no.1
If you have a car with lots of bolt ons, etc i recommend something a bit stouter like royal purple hmx, amsoil signature or Redline
I like royal purple
Pennzoil ultra platinum ! Is all you need !
Its a great otc oil without going to a boutique line. I wish they would upgrade to some better security seals on their caps like mobil and valvoline
@@marcok6959true ! I think i got scammed buying pup online !
@@marcok6959i bought it online and swear the cap was already tampered with ! When i went to platinum it is so much quieter and smoother

Castorl GTX all good its 2009 platinum fire F150
Amsoil signature series the best!!
Waste of a video. No testing done, 100% manufacturer marketing.
I'll stick with Schaeffer 9000.
Check out 626,000 mile pentastar.
Castrol edge is Better than mobile 1
6 one way, half a dozen the other. They are both gr8.
@@RandallDenison we tested these.. Castrol Edge is Better

You can't go wrong with Wal*Mart Super Tech. It's as much synthetic, which is just a marketing term, as all the rest.

Hello , how about American oil ,or Ams oil ?
Yes
Never get Valvoline I wouldn't put that shit in a toy car
Why not valvoline, just wondering please explain, thanks.
@danherrala2087 I really wish I could say why but once my shit is over with Valvoline I would love to publish my story on Valvoline
