As a child I believed this really was Bruce Lee. Jason Scott Lee did an amazing job.
Facts
you saying all asians look the same huh
@@urbcat no he is not. have a snickers.
@@urbcat facial recognition for kids isn't as developed. I mean I seriously thought Francis from Malcom in the Middle was Neil Patrick Harris. So when I started watching How I Met Your Mother as an adult I was like "hey it's Francis!"
@@urbcat what if he did? huh
Jason Scott Lee did one heck of a good job at playing Bruce Lee.
I always say the same thing, he should have got an Oscar for this role he really did the business.
@@snapshotsreviews4967 Wish his career would’ve gone bigger after this film I mean he did do other great films like The Jungle Book, Timecop 2 and of Course the most recent Mulan film. I would’ve like to see more films like these. This film could’ve made him an a list actor.
hellz yea. he doesnt look like bruce lee but he sure captured bruce Lee's energy and presence. stellar acting. amazing.
I always thought the same thing, Jason Scott Lee gave an amazing tribute to Bruce Lee
He damn sure did
Moral of history; if you hear Bruce Lee scream, run as fast as you can
No if him move towards u, u run as fast as u can
Did you ever see The Big Boss? There was a scene where he's walking out of a brothel, only to be caught by his love interest. Naturally he runs away. Really really fast. That was no camera tricks or video effects. That was literally Bruce Lee running at 100 miles an hour. If that's how fast he runs when he's running away from somebody, how fast do you think he'll run when he's gotta chase somebody. Running doesn't help. You either apologize or you take your hits.
Except if you are ip man lmao
Run unless you are ip man
@@philou1467 bruce surpassed ip man in real life his development of wing chun and discovery or all sorts of martial arts and combining the best into one system would of easily over taken him. That being said I'm sure they would never fight there were great friends
I don't care what people say, Jason S. Lee still one of the best actor in our era...
😂😂😂
Correction. He was the best Bruce Lee actor that wasn't Bruce lee.
@@BSBD78why u laugh you troll bot?
@@CS-zn4buNo. I laughed at the absurd statement.
@@BSBD78Ok, and why is it absurd? He was the best actor for presenting Bruce Lee like that (aside from Bruce Lee himself of course).
That flying arm bar takedown was incredible and doesn’t get nearly enough credit it deserves 👏🏻
Yup that stood out on first viewing and the boss at the end like a parent telling their kids to stop fighting just breaks the tension and snaps u back to reality like damn fighting was so much fun now we have to do mundane work!!
You just can't hate Bruce Lee and he was and always will be one of us 🇺🇸
American, yet not American if you're a Trumpian caucasian. I love Bruce for inspiring me as a brown European from in Indian/Pakistani heritage that I only knock out white idiots, but ones of all colour but also get the most beautiful girls of all colours. Lee rules. Forget US.
He was Chinese!
@@greekwarrior5373 American citizen
@@rattlesnake81 I don't care. He was still Chinese. I know you Americans are the dumbest people on the planet, but the country that you're born in and even grow up does NOT have anything to do with your race and ethnicity! Bruce was of Chinese descent!
he just wanted to be called a human being thats it !@@greekwarrior5373
Awww man the part after was even better, the restaurant owner giving bruce his severance pay and asking him what he is gonna do with all that money. “You gonna make something of yourself, or stay a DISHWASHAAAHHHH!?!?” It was awesome.
The woman that played the owner was not just any gal, that was Nancy Kwan who played Susie Wong in the movie The World of Susie Wong.

Can we appreciate that as silly as Mr Ho was, he can still execute a flying arm bar on Bruce Freakin Lee!
I just love that as soon as the fight starts every Chinese in that kitchen seems to know Kung Fu and starts kicking ass. It's such a trope and done in a charming way here.
It's half a stereotype, but half true.
Many schools in China teach basic Karate classes at very early ages. Lots of kids actually do learn martial arts there... but it does tend to get exaggerated, especially in the movies.
@@kevinr278 Karatê na China?
Also apparently kids back then learned it often for self defense due to high crime rates and lack of police manpower. @@kevinr278
I know Jason Scott Lee didn't do all of his stunts in this. But he did most of them. Dude is a gifted athlete
Okay just so you know yes he did do all his stunts in the movie, do your research first before you talk

He has no martial arts training before this! Amazing!
How amazing it must have been to be chosen to act and represent as Bruce Lee.
3:02 the cook at the back 🤣🤣
3:26 I had to squeeze both the seeds of the balls...🤭
Seconds before he does a flying armbar on Bruce Lee.
He wasn't acting goofy. He was channeling the powers of God.
Love how his "finishing blow" against the ringleader was a feint. He scared him enough you hear him almost in tears. He didn't HAVE to hurt him to beat him.
“IM NO BASTARD, IM BRUCE LEE”
I can not listen to 'Green Onions' without this scene being replayed in my head.
Or when those Ball Players told Smalls & his Team that they play Ball like a Girl lol
Your mind goes to Dragon. My mind goes to Sandlot.
I loved this scene. The comic relief of the movie.
Especially the part where he's doing the Landing Eagle and you hear something break but it's the tin can. Reminiscent of Enter the Dragon. So hilarious. LOL
@@Piyesis71 Yes!! I think that's what they were hinting at here. Though I've seen documentaries on Bruce Lee and learned this scene and many others were ALL Hollywood.
i died laughing and kept rewinding to the beginning lol Scott Lee was incredible in this movie. Best portrayal - He should've got a nomination for his part
@@62202ify Yeah I remember seeing this Movie as a Kid and finding out years later that this Film is VERY loosely based on the life of the real Bruce Lee
It still kills me til this day when Lee is in the air and lands on the soda can and had the guy crying like a B!?@&😂😂😂
Lmao
He was a mess that Head Chef! And the owner "Get back inside, all of you"! Like "Ok, break time over, back to work"!
"I ordered pork fried rice an hour ago. What are the cooks doing??"
🤣😀🤭.
@Gaming With IronPie my favourite dish was beef in black sauce & fried rice, & honey chicken also with fried rice, my Older ⚰️ Sister☹️ used to make it for me, but unfortunately times have changed & she is no longer hear anymore ✌️.
@Gaming With IronPie she's gone to be with Brandon🐲 Lee in 💭heaven, seeing that Forrest law Bruce Lee's son Brandon Lee was my Favourite from the movie showdown in Little Tokyo🤔...
lmao
There has been a disturbance in the kitchen.
Every time I eat at a Chinese restaurant I like to think there's an epic Kung Fu fight just like this one taking place in the kitchen and back alley.
lol same
oh my my from now on im really going to think this way
"Get that son of a witch" always gets me 😅
Just another day in a Chinese restaurant
I love the "Green Onions" backgrounds music.
great choice to lighten up something that looks gruelsome

3:02 some of the best shadow fighting I have ever witnessed :D
One of the best fight scenes and love the background music
when he gets cut
Bruce Lee: MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Never let him lick his own blood. He goes ham
Imagine waiting for a plate of General Tso chicken and there’s a whole ass king fu fight in the back 😂
Free entertainment 😂
hes Hawaiian just like me
That flying arm bar though.
So the old dick twist is a legit move and great counter
It was a real shame to lose Bruce Lee. He was a legend that couldn’t be defeated so easily. Some people, like myself, would say that he’s… a dragon.
My brother loves this movie he is right now with Bruce Lee in heaven
This guy must be a REALLY good friend for his buddies to be doing all this shit for him.
Some customer inside will never know why their food took so long.

And people think they're eating cats and dogs 😏
If i was at that restaurant
I will use my judo skills against those guys

I love the Avengers movies, all the Marvel movies of today but going to the movies and watching this kind of movies as a 13 year old back in the 90s, well I can honestly tell you I still get the chills watching these movies. Very little CGI or zero CGI, these were my Advangers back in the 90s.

Jason Scott Lee has so much potential.
He's wasting it playing his dad
I grew up with Bruce lee, so when this came out I was happily surprised how well done J Lee did, he got it nearly perfect!!! I wish his career had done better, unless he went on to do something else he wanted, good for him either way.

Best Lee actor
A petty disagreement turns into an all out, crazy savage fight to the death...and then "ok breaks over get back to work". (Men grumbling...) "So you wanna go to Applebees after work?"...
It's my best part of the movie. The dude was in his Zone.
Good thing the chef was wearing an apron. When Lee jumped and landed with his feet either side of his head I think he probably pissed himself the way he was squealing LOL
When he kicks the can towards em and they freak out🤣🤣 0:42
everybody gangsta until bruce lee apears
They all grabbed cleavers 😭 they were really ready to murder poor Bruce ☠️☠️☠️
One of the greatest movies ever made. Thanks.
They proved to be more of a challenge than those sailors were.
Used to watch this movie before every taekwondo tournament I had.
Dont get your honey where you get your money! Bruce got fired after this, with a good life lesson from the owner. Great movie.
At the time I saw this movie and knew very little about Bruce Lee. I felt Jason was the real Bruce Lee. He did a great job acting as the Legend.
1:07 when you beat the fastest kid in the class at tag
I love that movie. Masterpiece.❤
Only Bruce Lee can do kicks like that in jeans.
WTF is that dude doing in the background???🤣🤣🤣🤣 3:02
Gettin hype
the fight scenes and impact sounds in this movie are 2nd to none!
Best scene of my life
I don't remember if I liked this movie 🍿🎥 too much
Dope how he beat them up, but it's so sad how he was hated by his own kind, and the world around his era.
I can't think of another fight scene that has so much show boating in it
Best use of Booker T & the MG's "Green Onion" EVER !
And... a deep Kung fu bow and xie xie, to the amazing and yet, humble Jason Scott Lee for a magnificent job at portraying the late great Bruce Lee.
Ngl, but that armbar was sick. 🤣🤣
Bruce went super Saiyan after he got cut .
Bruce lee is Titanium.. And Jackie Chan is alloy.
Brusli.
this is really good expecially with BOOKER T GREEN ONIONS MUSIC PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND. I LOVE IT
Was just trying to figure out this song from another movie and i couldn't find it but then i remembered this song was in the dragon movie and i found the answer right away with the first comment. Thank you

It should've been longer like Forrest Gump.
Those chefs were behaving like Triads! Can't imagine normal cooks to get so dangerous over such a altercation and they know how to fight albeit got beat up by the one and only legend!

Imagine having a restaurant and your employee fight swinging all over the place with a meat knife
I own a restaurant and I can’t tell you how many times shit like this is so close to happen. When you put a bunch of alpha males inside a hot kitchen with high pressure tasks, things could get ugly fast.
Evan Koch I was exaggerating. My employees of course didn’t swing knives at each other on my watch. They are however close to fight each other in Mortal Kombat style due to disagreement. It never happened of course, not on my watch.
