Really enjoy your videos, shows how brutal it is to even compete at this level. You're doing the right thing by not putting any pressure on yourself. As a few other people have mentioned, key thing for you is adding some variety to your play and spotting your opponents weaknesses and exploiting them - even if it's not pretty you should have been peppering this guys backhand and approaching the net from it as it was just soo weak. All the best,
1) Loosen up abit 2) Find space on the approach shot, you only went down the middle with a relatively weak shot 3) Make space from the ball earlier on (Especially when moving back) 4) Get better at building the ball and controlling it to their backhand side 5) When playing defensive topspin on back foot - when you go for topspin you have commit to it, push that ball with nice spin deep... not half topspin half flat. 6) Build the point, dont just hit - slow down abit and let the winner or forced error come more naturally. 7) Need to get better at directional control when playing difficult and easy balls. 8) Move better off the serve, get back fast to make space and have more time to load. 9) Work on the difficult balls.
Unlucky Cam, you played very well in parts of the match. You definitely played your best tennis when you were playing positive, aggressive tennis so this should be your game plan moving forwards. Play to win and play fearless tennis mate and the results will come👊👍👊
Great match man. You mention that you were struggling to put balls away at the net, and I think a large part of that is where you were approaching to. When you were approaching to his backhand you were winning a majority of the points, especially since he was relying on the slice so heavily. If you think about where you put the ball on approach a bit more I think you'll find a lot more net success. Really high level of play though, keep it up.
tough one mate, I think you read your match really well, 2nd set a little passive but it's hard to stay aggressive all the time. I would work on your volleys more, get sharper at the net, 2nd serve he was able to get on top of it, work on that. Another thing, maybe some drop shots to mix things up, special when you are dictating.
Great video, good analysis. It sometimes looks like you don't want to win. You were up in so many points, but due to a tactical mistake, you basically give your opponent the point. Also, work on your passing shots and approach shots (you came a few times to the net with an average approach, even at this level they kill you, imagine in a M15 qualy...). You have enough quality to beat a guy like Pudney 2x 6-2.
Hey man, a little variety to the game goes a long way, sending a drop shot even a short ball to break trhythm could definitely won you more points. Didn't have to be perfect at this level , he didn't look like he will put the every single short ball away. When your aggressive game is breaking trying to go more aggressive usually harms your own game in my humble opinion.
definitely need to do more with the approach shot, you let him back into the point. the approach was too safe. not saying you need to paint lines but it has to hurt your opponent more.
Appreciate and like the videos but your getting beat by players that are getting done 1 and 1, by anyone with Atp point. If you can win 3/4 brit tours, g1, g2 and perhaps a g3, you might have a crack at an atp point but at the min its pretty far away as futures qualies are no joke Use Alexis as a bench mark, he walked this tournament with his eyes closed pretty much from the results online
I don’t disagree at all. Going to keep trying to improve and get closer to the goal, even if it takes a long time! And tbh I just want to enjoy the process of trying to improve, and being able to compete on the match court while I still can. Even if I never reach the goal I will be happy I tried to become the best player I can be and I enjoyed every second while I still could.
Great vid! Only criticism cam is it feels like we have had this same exact video multiple times. We keep hearing how u plan to get atp points, so we just want to start seeing u execute the plan. It's not a hate comment, just take it as a piece of advise. I like ur channel and will subscribe. Keep it up!
Thanks so much! Just wanted to do a recap at the start and explain that I’ll be doing more brit tours over the next few months. Thanks for your feedback :)

I would add going big with the forehand. There were a lot of occasions to do so, which is one of the primary reasons set 1 slipped away.

Thanks so much! I thought so too :)
100% if I can keep that game style up in my next tournaments hopefully it will click and wins will start coming!!
@camprice99 they will for sure. Keep going mate👊

I agree with all of this. I was thinking the exact same things! thanks for the feedback :)

So many times I was up in the point and somehow ended up losing it! 😂
Thanks for your feedback :)

Nice vid !
Thanks!
great vid
thanks so much :)
Short question: where are the Judges at this tournament??
I don’t think they have line umpires at this level.

@camprice99 good luck cam!❤️ hope it all goes well
Same old Pudney always cheating
I thought I was the only one seen those balls in :))
Good line calls from pudney.
Got to agree some of the baseline calls at 3-1 in the first looked tasty.
