Hi your video is really cool but I need special paper for this embossing with laminator? Because when I used a normal copy paper, I have a foil dust on all surface of paper and not only on the toner.
Hello 👋🏽 if you use Avery clear labels, it usually does that. I am not sure why, that is why I suggest the clear labels from 2 other places because I don't have that issue with the other kind of paper 😊

Make sure to lay the foil flat with a sheet of paper as the carrier sheet. You may need to experiment with different types of paper and temp on laminator to find your sweet spot. Also I rub it flat after it comes out and leave for a few minutes and then peel

Curious if I can use the "precut" address label sheets in the same way. There would be no perforation where I want labels printed but would the label edges be a problem? I cannot find what I am looking for, already have a laser printer, laser labels and laminator so would just need the foil. I may try it anyway since I cannot find what I want and I would spend as much on custom labels as the foil anyway. Thanks for any insight :)
You can use precut labels you do not have to use a birder on them just as long as it's printing within the spaces you want it to print on. Try it on a tester sheet first to see if you need to make any adjustments. I hope this answers your question, if not feel free to send me a reply 😊
I tried this but there is residue all over my labels. I tired rubbing it off with a soft paper towel and it won’t come off . I even use my nails to scratch off but that also not helping . Please tell me what I did wrong ?
@@flowerbackdrops9383 that's the problem. Idk what it is about Avery clear labels but it doesn't work well for the foil technique. The white labels from Avery works well but not the clear. I like labelsbythesheet.com clear laser labels.
Hello, I know you made this video years ago I hope this message finds you. I am so glad you made this I have been looking for these type of labels for my brand as you know starting a new business you don’t always have the money as a big company. With that being said I still want my brand to look store ready not farmers market(no offense I’ve sold products there also). I’m going to try your tips and get a laminated to make these labels but I do have a question. Is there anyway to add just a touch of color. My logo has my name in black bold letters which are no problem however the letter “I” has a green leaf over it for emphasis. Is there anyway while making these that can obtained?
Yes for the parts you want foiled use a laser printer for the parts you don't want layered use inkjet printer. So the label will be two parts one for each printer. 😊
Hey will the gold foil paper work on black labels with white writing? I want the writing to turn gold, without the black background turning gold as well. I’m not sure if it’s a different process with black label paper:(
Yes it works ok black labels. If the background is black label paper only print what you want gold. It still works the same, you just won't see the ink before the foiling.
Does foiling work on the matte sticker paper or do you need glossy paper? I have tried with matte and got a lot of spotting with my foil. So I'm not sure if its my Hp laser printer or my scotch laminator or my sticker paper? Any advice ?
You can use matte or glossy. I like the glossy labels. You can put the laminator on 5ml and do it 2xs that should help. Please keep me posted and let me know if that works better for you

I ask because if we use the same side, it has already printed in certain areas for the other set of labels. I hope my question makes sense.
If you don't want the foil on the blue part you will have to use an inkjet printer and the foil won't stick to that and then send it thru the laser without the blue part to foil the black you want printed 😊

Hi 👋🏽 as far as I know all laser printers are compatible. You just need black you don't have to go for a full color laser. A cheap black toner laser printer will do the job 😊

Hi, I’m using the Cricut Foil transfer sheets, and no luck. Is there a difference between reactive foil and foil transfer sheets?
Yes. You need the reactive foil for this. The other foil is adhesive foil it is not the same thing. 🙂
Any trouble shooting advice? I have a laser printer and reactive foild and the same laminator but out of 9 labels, maybe one transfers correctly.
