Don’t have a fancy cricut or want to save money on buying labels? Look not further! This is a simple and fun project to do on a rainy day and it look just as fabulous as store bought pantry labels.
Worked for me!!! My office has a laserjet printer. I happened to have some old paperwork with me. I cut out a couple of bold font words, rubbed with my fingers to “heat seal” instead of using an item that could leave light “scratches” on the tape. You do have to either soak the paper for a 3-5 min to make it peel easily OR maybe make the water hotter. I chose to soak longer since I’d already started the soaking process. Some paper did still stick in the middle part but I rubbed the area VERY gently with alcohol to remove. Came out nice. Be sure to clean what you’re labeling with alcohol. I put my labels on a glass jar and the tape still had some good stick to it. Be sure to lay gently so as not to have bubbles.
Yay! I’m glad it worked out for you! Everyone’s been coming at me because it didn’t work for them. I think their printers are different than laser jet.
This looks like an EZ and cute project
Wow thanks for yoir sharing is amazing
You’re welcome! Have you tried making it?
Wooooow your idea is so very good , useful and important ❤❤🎉🎉🎉

Amazing!!!
YAY!!! IT WORKS I LOVE IT ❤️ 😍 THANKYOU SO MUCH 😊 ☺️ 💕
Im going to try this! Thank you!
I’m using a laser jet printer. Hopefully your ink transfers easily 😊
Sweet!! I'll try it out
I’m using a laser jet printer. I’m not sure which printers will work with this project 🤔
Brilliant! Thnx
Awesome, thanks ❤
Can't wait to try this
I hope it works out well. I’m using a laser jet printer.
My printer is ink based. I did this but ink got ruined.
😭😭
I think you should use copy machine in case if you just want black color although you will face few issue such as there will be a line around the object or text
YAAASSSS THANKS😂🎉🎉🎉
I JUST TRIED THIS....AND IT REALLY TRULY WORKS OMG THANKS👀👍👍👍👍👍
Yay!! May I ask what type of printer you have? I’m using laser jetz
Ok ima try this when i get back from Morocco
@@LYLAHome20 I went to My local library printer...I just paid a few bucks from my library card account.
I was today years old when I found this out 🤯
Surprisingly it works great even after I washed the container with soap and water by hand. The sticker stayed on!
@@LYLAHome20 how long do they stay put?
Cuz we usually washed jars after every 2 or 3 months.
@@mohdusama3181 I’ve washed my labeled container once and it stayed on. I’ll have to get back to you on the second wash.
@@LYLAHome20 ok
Can we do it in white colour? Pls
Would this work with a label that has a color and a design
What paper did you use?
Can this be done with any printer or does it have to be a laserjet printer?
Perhaps the type of paper and ink you use is the key to successfully completing this project. I tried it several times with no success. The ink just washed away with the paper every time. I don't have an injet printer so I guess that could be the problem.
Can you do it without printers?
What type of ink are you using
How long do you leave the tape on the paper so that tape and soak up that ink before you put it in the water. Because when I do mine, I put the tape on it I cut it and I put it in the water. But when I’m rubbing the paper off the back, the ink comes off to because it gets wet and it just smudges off as if it was on plastic. Thank you.
👍🏽
Is this washing friendly? I want to do these on my cleaning and pantry bottles and jars but I am worried if it will come off after washing. please reply
Hi Saba! Surprisingly my labels stayed on after hand washing my containers.
Sad, I have an Epson Inktank Printer, and many others in the comments say the ink washes off
Exactly 😢
Does the trick work?
😮🤯
This is nice. Is it just an ordinary paper you used?
Yes! Just regular printer paper will do. And I used clear packing tape.
@@LYLAHome20 you are a life saver! Thank you
@@LYLAHome20 why it didn’t worked for me?
@@prei3709 hi, it could be because I we have a different printer. I’m using a laser jet. I’m
Sorry it didn’t work.
What kind of printer are you using? ink-jet?
Hi George! It’s an hp laser jet that uses toner.
Does this work with inkjet printing? Doesn't the ink smudge when you soak the labels? Doesn't the glue get washed off while removing the paper residue?
mine smudged
How does it still stick after puting in water?
I hand wash it and it’s still on there .. going on 2 years now.
What paper did you use ? Plzz replay
Hi, just regular printer copy paper with a laser jet printer.
Umm it didn't work for me, 😔 maybe I'm doing it wrong , does it have to be packing tape ?
I used packing tape and laser jet printer for this project. I’m sorry friend.
Can I iron these on fabric?
Hmm 🤔 I’m thinking that might be too hot and it would melt the tape.
I have an HP printer and it barley worked it was faint
not as simple as it looks😢..my ink came off and the paper was taking the letters off
Sorry that happened. I have a laser jet printer. I wish I could edit the video and state that because I think the type of ink does matter.
I think most libraries use laser printers right?
My ink rubs off with the paper 😢
Mine too
No working.i trying
Tried it! Didn’t work 😔
I’m sorry that it didn’t work for you. I’ve only made these diy label stickers twice and it worked both times. I’m not sure what could’ve happened with your project. Did any of the ink transfer onto the tape at all?
@@LYLAHome20 not really, paper n ink just kept peeling away- it seemed to almost work the second time i tried but still was unsuccessful. No worries tho, I am planning on getting a circuit joy soon to help me complete my organization projects 😉 I was just hoping this would have worked for now ☺️Thank you for sharing
@@CrowndwithGlory the cricut will be much simpler and quicker to get the job done. I was looking into getting a cricut but it’s a bit out of my budget and I don’t craft often. These labels I made took awhile but I only needed it for two projects. I hope you score a deal on Black Friday on your Cricut!
@@LYLAHome20 Thank you☺️ That is the plan😉 patiently waiting for the sales to begin 😎🤞
Tried this. Dis NOT😢work
Sorry friend! Turns out I was using a laser jet printer.
Bro labels his brown sugar, how neat... 💀
Are this water proof ?
Not true. I did it but worst happen
My printer is inkjet
don't have printer 🙄🥲
