I don’t remember where I saw it, but putting spatula handles on either side of your jar helps steady it so it doesn’t roll. It’s made labeling my body butters and sugar scrubs do much easier. Thanks for another informative video!
I am a matte removable label user , with the exception of my room sprays & holiday time I have used their silver scalloped edge labels for my holiday collection, they actually featured my candles last year ( I thought that was kinda cool) even though I’m over here thinking to myself at the time you mean me? 😅😂 I love Online Labels I switched from Avery , the cost is better , the amount of sizes as well as label material (to me ) much better! Thank you for another great video 🥰
Today I finally fixed the issue that I had when I was printing my labels. I have an Epson Eco ink jet printer and my labels were having alignment issues, but after a week of research, all I had to do was to uncheck the box scale to fit and it worked. I didn't want to pay for single sheets to save me money, so what I did was to grab my candles and a blank sheet of paper. I measured and cut out several sizes of squares until I picked a size that looked good on all my candles before ordering from Avery. I use 2.5 x 2.5 for my dessert candles, 10 ounce cali jars and cp bar soaps. I enjoy designing my labels on Canva and initially I wanted to foil my labels, but unfortunately I can't foil them because my printer isn't laser so I have to work what I have at the moment. Your labels look very nice and those sheets look like high quality. I might try them out late once I'm done with mine. Can Maestro be used with any label templets or only online labels?
Thank you for the info. I’m sure it is very helpful to those who are much more computer literate than myself and that is almost everyone! I’m going to check all this out. I’m hoping there is some demonstrations on the site. I’m not really a “slow learner”, I actually pick things up fairly easy, but my big drawback is that I have to actually lay my eyes on the process. Could be an age thing.😁 Thanks again and congrats on your new arrival! Enjoy him and this very special time.
Thank you Erica, this was helpful! I'm sorry if I missed the printer reference, but would you mind sharing which Laser printer you use? I am in the market for a printer and the choices are endless! Thank you!
Oh sorry about that! It’s a hp color laserjet pro mfp m479fdw To be honest it’s very expensive and I’m sure there’s cheaper alternatives! But if you go with a laser one you definitely want to make sure it can print in color ❤️
I think I need a laser printer. Mine uses ink and I don’t like that it can smear or bleed if it gets wet. Been using expensive custom print vinyl for most candles but have been experimenting with printing at home for some limited edition collections.
Might be such a stupid question, so I apologize in advance! I'm on the site looking at the different types of paper they offer, and I was wondering how matte black would work? Would I just use the Matte White paper and make the actual label design with a black background?
Really appreciate this video, there is so much to think about for setting up a candle company. Can you share the label size for a 10inch sorry if I missed this. Online labels look great x
My only problem with online labels is no matter how much I work with the label I use (2x5 I think), I always get a small white line at the bottom of the page. I’ve aligned it a million times and even contacted their customer service and they couldn’t figure out why it was doing that. I’ve learned to just live with it. Their program is awesome though.
To be honest, I haven’t used Avery labels as much so I don’t have much knowledge on them! I believe I have used some in a pinch and they weren’t my favorite, so I always went back to online labels. However I know that tons of people use and love them so it could definitely just be a personal preference thing!
Unfortunately I’m not super familiar with Avery labels :/ the only things I found I had to change to make sure the alignment was correct when printing labels is to make sure it’s set to either “default” size or “scale 100%” or something like that! Every computer is different so it took some trial and error in the beginning
I used weather proof and on my last order i accidently ordered regular matte labels and I'm so disappointed in myself because i cant return them since I'm not in the U.S. now i'll have to use these till there done and get weather proof on my next order 😢

Good morning Erica! Thank you for always amazing advice with us. Where do you purchase your 8oz matte tins and your 2oz gold tins? Thank you so much!!!
@@MemoryBoxCandleCo ideally not, I was thinking of printing on cardstock but it's a bit too heavy and isn't as playable. But maybe hanging tags would work. I just don't know at this point 😭😭😭
Hi Erica, I am having serious dramas getting my saved labels on to a sheet using the multiple approach. The software has been updated and it's just not clear how to achieve what I want to achieve. I have everything saved in my Jars folder but cannot for the life of me work out how to add just one of each label to the sheet. Please help lol Not to worry, finally sorted it after plenty of trials and tribulations lol. Enjoy your day Erica.

When testing out different sizes, better to cut out paper to size and see what you think before getting a bunch of labels that aren't suitable ;)
