Thank you so much for this topic! 😊 Great points on fonts as well. Took a few notes while watching. I am almost done with the graphic design for my logo and will need to start making and printing the labels for my products in the next two weeks. Yikes! I hope it doesn’t take a crazy long time to figure out. I subscribed to Canva Pro to create the labels. I better get practicing asap! I’m afraid I might need a lot of practice. 😅
I so appreciate you and your wonderful video tutorials!💖

It definitely take a lotttt of practice! I’ve made soooo many labels at this point and there’s so much I’ve learned along the way!
Also, I do sell candle label templates on my Etsy shop if you’re interested! Maybe you can use one of them to help you get started with an idea and you can adjust it to your liking?

I think I have the same printer as you and the reason I chose this one is because I wanted to use gold foil on my labels and it only sticks to toner.

I love Online Labels! You get more for less compared to Avery and the quality is crisp. The printer I use is the Canon Pixma Pro-100. It's an inkjet printer specifically for photography, so everything comes out in a higher quality especially if you print alot of colors. (This is probably the printer Erica mentioned).

I want to tell anyone who is having issues with their printer printing lables and alignment issues, I went through so many HP printers trying to get it to stop and couldn't. Only after I switched to a Canon did the problems stop.

@@MemoryBoxCandleCowhat's helped me with labels has been an unlimited ink plan (and paper plan) with HP. I cut labels with a large paper cutter and sometimes I'll add designs, especially foiling or adding the product name (bulk print the labels with space to write it in). I didn't like print and cut on Cricut, it's perfect for custom packaging too!

Thanks for the video. Online labels are great but it says I need a laser printer for the labels I want. I have a bunch already using my inkjet from another place but if online labels say no I don't want to risk it for quality and monetary reasons. Also they don't offer my specific label size and I didn't see where they customize.
I feel like negative Nancy writing this comment but these are the issues I have so I guess I'll have to stick with what i use.
Thanks for always letting us know the things you use. I do always try and give them a go. 🙂

I really appreciate how you don't hesitate to provide direct answers and even links to resources needed. I watched a candle maker last night (felt like I was cheating on you and wade lol) and majority of the answers this maker responded with was see supplier recommendations. I get it for specific questions, but some responses didn't feel supportive. Thank you for providing genuine and extensive support on your platform. It truly makes a difference 😊

Hi Erica. I am a soapmaker and had a business for 10 years. I closed it and just make soap for fun now. I have always wanted to make candles but never had the time to branch out into that. But now I do, so candle making is going to be my summer project. I have used online labels and Maestro for years and have made thousands of labels, but I would like to go try Canva and see what I can make over there. I have a question though. When you design a label on Canva, how do you get it over to Online labels?

    • @MemoryBoxCandleCo
      @MemoryBoxCandleCo  4 месяца назад

hi! I export my design as a PNG and upload that PNG onto maestro and then format it to the label sheet and then print :)

Okay so here are a couple tips that I’ve found:
      1. Check the label sheet for the two arrows (they are at the top right corner of the labels and it shows you where you need to load it into your printer)
      2. I always print by clicking the “open directly from your browser” on Maestro, and then I always make sure my print settings are at “default” or “actual size”
I know exactly what you’re talking about with the misaligned labels though, but I’ve been able to fix it with the steps above. Hope that helps you!

I've noticed on larger candles, my circle stickers often appear distorted, where when flat, they are perfectly round, but when applied to the candle they appear almost oval shaped or oblong. Have you encountered this and if so, do you have ideas/tips on how to fix this?

Do you get any issues with quality/burry text when transferring designs from Canva into OL? I’ve had to run my designed labels through a converter to improve the dpi… but still doesn’t seem as crisp as I’d expect. Maybe I’m making things harder on myself than needed, idk!
