Thank you so much. I learned a lot from you. I just bought a candle kit on amazon, I wanted to get into candle making. I will be turning 60 and need a new hobby. This is awesome, I love your videos, I’m glad I found you ❤. I have saved your videos to watch again. ❤
@@EclipseBotanica 🙏🙏❤️🇨🇦🕯. Thank you ! I watched a lot of videos, I found yours more helpful. I’m so happy I found you. I have bought candles from stores, the wax always melt in the middle and sink in the middle, with lots of wax around it, then it burns with a black burn inside. Then it’s hard to relight the candle again then the wick wouldn’t lit. It’s annoying. I still have jar candles I can’t use. Such a waste. I never knew how to remove the wax out of the jar. It’s so burnt. Needs to be thrown out
Hello - thank you so much for your informative videos / by far the best information for beginners - I am testing the waters to Make my own candles and your videos have so much helpful information. however One topic I’d like to research before trying candles is the fragrance oils. Could you recommend dog friendly scents and which suppliers carry those scents. I love a home that smells good however I have my 2 yr old boxer mix baby girl and I would like to make them safe for her as well. What would you recommend for pet owners looking for safe oils that will not harm pets ? Thank you so much
Such amazing tips for all new candle business beginners to learn. I’m in the candle Industry and have two locations for business, one in Ireland and one in the uk. We make a lot of candles here in our shops, in the beginning it was very difficult to find what type of wax to use, we tried so so many but eventually sat on the right one and we are using that one since. Best of luck to all new beginners 🕯️❤️
They talk about women supporting other women. You my friend are just that. I enjoy watching your videos so much. You give such great advice. I watched your video on sobriety the other day. 256 days No alcohol. Best thing I ever did.

Hiii! Having a hard time having a hot throw on my mixed scents. I mixed 2 scents that summed up to the amount needed like 70/30 but it doesn’t have a hot throw strong enough compared to my pre-made, what should I do?
I'm just starting. Im scared because I get my stuff from Amazon. Nowhere else. If they run out....I'm screwed. Where do you get yours? Do they ever run out? How are the prices for 10lbs?
hey Sarah, nice job. Just to add some clarification/info on the Vybar. The other Vybar you were referring to is called Vybar 103 and is for higher melt point waxes. However, there is also a 3rd vyrbar called Vybar 343 and it protects the mottling in mottling waxes for makers that like the mottled effect. Otherwise, other vybars will remove the mottling. hope that helps. :)
I just came to see how to make a candle stronger for my baby shower favors ixm making. What in the world!!! I don't think I'll be making candles as a hobby lol this is a one and done. Great info though. I'm sure this was useful for a lot of people. I just brought a couple of those jesus candles from the dollar tree and putting the wax in those Oui yougurt jars with some baby oil essential oil. Hell it might not smell like anything now that im looking at this video 😂😂😂
I can just imagine how great your candles are because you're so positively passionate about them, wonderful videos and you're a excellent teacher. l wanted to use the same wax combination but just didn't know how it would work with the fragrance oils. I took notes and can't wait to start, talk about a great motivational speaker! Thank you for sharing 😊
I already got my stuff so I’m happy I found this before I started making my candles. I didn’t even think about hot throw would not have a scent (these words are very new for me lol) thank you so much for these tips
Fantastic first video! I learned so much will be watching ALL your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience, it will come back to you in even more success.
Hi..I just started making candles and I'm enjoying it alot.. A question i have is. Is there a certain step to avoid your candles from getting a film on the top ? I enjoy watching videos of you sharing your process in making them.
Hi there! Love your videos! May I ask what wick do you use? I know you said Eco but specially which one? I’m having such a hard time finding a good wooden wick for my candles. I make them for myself lol
You make your wooden wicks? That’s genius! Must save you so much money! Plus that’s quite a talent. I use eco-1 wicks. Unfortunately they are very hard to find these days so I may have to switch things up soon
I'm running into a problem that nobody else seems to have. I have VERY minimal cold throw. I have to get up close and try hard to smell it. Practically no hot throw but my first step is to get the cold throw down first and I've had no luck with 6006, 464, or 4630. I've followed manufacture instructions and used the strongest smelling oils I have from candle science and the flaming candle but still nothing. It's driving me mad.
I had the same problem, I ended up tearing with over 6 waxes and blended every single combination I could before I found my formula. It’s hard to be patient especially with the curing days! So I understand!
I have the exact same problem now, I just started my small candle. Uisness like 4 months ago, I still haven't found the solution. Of you have please tell Ms 😭💖
This video was very helpful! I love how soothing your voice is! Thanks for being honest and transparent and straight to the point! Thank you for the encouragement! Do not give up! You have a new subscriber here!!!
Good afternoon needing some help with my math formula My tins of 4oz and my desired fill is 3oz with 8%fo I've started with two candles is this formula correct 3*3=9oz 9oz /1.08=8.33oz wax 9-8.33=0.67oz fo 0.67*28.35=18.9945=19grams of fragrance oil If I'm using two oils @ 0.67oz I would slip it in half which would be 0.333 oz of each oil
My wax (which is a soy - it's that "Freedom Soy Wax" or something that Amazon has - & yes, I know I shouldn't have bought it there, but, I did, so I'm going to use it up & then maybe switch to a blend) bag says to heat to 160 degrees to add the FO. That sounds kind of low, to me, should I mix it when it's a bit hotter, or will that cause problems? I've made some test candles, but never any that have the full fragrance load I plan to use, because I'm super broke & really can't afford to dump a bunch of materials into tests, but I did use FO in my tests, just less. I think I finally have the right wicks for my two different containers, & I'm about to make my first real batch that I plan to sell, & am going to a craft fair in like 3 days, so I really hope I don't screw anything up, so I wanted to ask about that before I do it lol. Also - I love your style, definitely subscribing.
Thank you for the videos. It is really helpful. I have some question, does 8% of FO can satisfied with all kinds of container with different diameter and different weigth of wax? For instance if the container contains 350g of wax and the FO should be taking from 8% or more than 8%? Please help me by feedback. Thanks
Hi there my problem it’s not the my candles doesn’t have a a hot trow, my problem is the right wick. Sometimes it get the full melt pool and when I lit it again. It’s doesn’t reach the full melt pool or the wick it’s flicking a lot. Omg it’s almost a 1 yr in August and still not happy not there yet 😢
There’s a science behind everything there are patterns and methods that work best but it shouldn’t be a hit or miss when it comes to candle wicks yet is baby candle Making is more of an art than science in any case cause someone recommend a really good book for it
