    HI Yanely. Can you tell me if Vanilla scents are harder to work with? I'm doing a triple wicked candle (using premier wicks) and a soy/coconut wax. I'm adding frag at 185 and stiring slowly for 2 minutes. I can't get a consistant cold or hot throw with the very vanilla I get from candle science. Any advice would be greatly welcome.

    • @YanelyAmadiz
      @YanelyAmadiz  Год назад +2

      No, if you add too much fragrance oil the candle can became flammable 🔥 since every wax holds a certain amount of fragrance oil there is no way of you to know how much fragrance oil the company added and if you add more than the wax can hold it can catch on fire 🔥 some scent are just not as strong as others

    How do you measure the 8% or 10% of the oil that goes in the wax?

    • @jenninelowe
      @jenninelowe Месяц назад

      Say you have 100g wax then you add 10g fragrance oil or lower maybe 7g and so on

    • @Alexoiul439
      @Alexoiul439 20 дней назад

      For a 200ml total candle weight (wax and oil)
      Let’s take a 10% fragranced oil value for this example
      1. 200ml/(100%+10% oil) = 181.81ml (this is the wax quantity needed)
      2. 200ml - 181.81ml = 18.19ml of fragranced oil in order to achieve that 10 percent level.
      Also, if u measure your total container capacity with water instead of wax and u are curious about the wax weight instead of the water one, here’s the trick: multiply the water weight by 0.86 in order to achieve the same level of wax as the water (for example, 200ml of water = 200ml * 0.86 = 172ml of wax). Hope those infos helped you, I wish u all the best! 🎉❤

    Any advice for 464 wax?

    • @YanelyAmadiz
      @YanelyAmadiz  Год назад +1

      I didn’t use 464 much, only the one that came in my candle kit when I first started. At first, I really wanted to go with 464 bc I really didn’t have a problem with it. I would heat it up to 185, I add the FO also at 185 and it was fine. I just didn’t like the look of the candle after you burn it and when I tested coconut soy wax I fell in love with the creamy-ness of it. Soy wax is much dryer.
