    I've realized that being able to change is a necessity. I had a candle business back in late 80's and thru the 90's. I have decided to start it back up and was surprised how so much has changed. Back then it was so simple. The choices there are out there are outrageous. From waxes to wicks and even the scent formulas. You can't let change overwhelm you. Go with the flow. Just do it and run with it.

    • @MemoryBoxCandleCo
      @MemoryBoxCandleCo  8 месяцев назад

      Oh wow I’m sure it is SOO different now! Back then was it just about farmers markets? And I bet the wax, wick, fragrance options were very minimal!

    Hi, my 4th grade son wants to start a small candle business. He chose to use beeswax in a 2.5-inch diameter by 1.5-inch height. Because he wanted a local source, we got hemp wick from northern california and beeswax from the bay area. We have done burn tests and can't figure iut the ideal wick size. Any recommendations for wicks? He is going pure beewax as he is try to be eco friendly, sustainable and supporting local businesses. Any advice is appreciated.

    • @MemoryBoxCandleCo
      @MemoryBoxCandleCo  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes I think the additional 10-20% is to account for labor and also to make some room for discounts! I know there’s probably a very calculated way to account for labor but I just keep it simple ☺️

      @@crystalduke2705 so the jars come with plastic wrapped around them, we keep them on to help insulate them a tiny bit and keep finger prints off as long as possible before labeling!
