@@Brownalebelly Honestly, series 7 was probably the best one, but I found myself laughing at this one the most. Between Mawaan's helium egg, Daisy and Richard eating watermelon, hippo, Johnny Vegas falling over and being a general goof, that task where they all lost points and Katherine, well, being herself, I had a few laughs every single episode. I still remember James Acaster asking Gregg if they were the stupidest ones yet - they weren't. But boy, these losers were funny.

Richard's wanted to go on Taskmaster for years so I'm glad he won. But otherwise I totally agree, I was rooting for Mawaan at like the third episode after he started his comeback from final place haha.
Cripes, Greg has been favoring him all damned series. To tell you the truth, his favoritism, while not being obvious every episode *_has been_* evident every series. Generally, the Youngest Male is always his favorite, the Youngest Female his least.
Absolute delight this season. I cheered for Mawan till the end, I again absolutely adored Johnny Vegas. The man is a gem. Katherine, oh mammy! And the Daisy, Richard comeptition and failed collaborations were absolutely hilarious
The bits where he’s extremely hostile to him are pretty funny, but I always like it even more when they subvert it and do a bit together. Like this one, and when they got marching ponytails, and when their chairs smoked like rockets
I hate to override the Taskmaster but it shall be done: Johnny, Katherine and Mawaan's musical number was just as good and artistic as the the other one.
I honestly thought it better. The trust fall was the only really good thing from the Duo, because neither cowboys, nor robot dances evoked any connection of trust to me, plus them messing up their simple choreo a bit, too, is not exactly what I picture when thinking of trust. The Trio couldn't do a trust fall due to distancing, as well as generally having limited mobility and opportunity for interaction, but they had a structure, positive reinforcements, they trusted each other to sing their part even with Mawaan talking at the same time. Now, the Duo sang better, I give them that...
I think it's time to introduce HawkEye/VAR into Taskmaster rulings, I completely agree that the points were way too uneven for this. I loved the trio. Greg was a little biased this time around I think, too scared of upsetting Daisy probably lol
This season got to me more than any before it. My heart went out to Johnny in previous episodes, especially with the house of cards, but my heart broke for Katherine in this episode. She had been such a good sport the entire season, showing nothing but class and grace, so seeing her break was so painful to watch. The enforced social distancing couldn't have helped. Did anyone else catch that during the task, Daisy read out: "you must stay behind the line at all times," but when Greg and Richard gave Alex the out to clarify the rules, Alex said "it said... you may not [micro pause] step over the line," and he wasn't reading, he was looking at Richard. Mawaan genuinely telling her she should be proud and Johnny's instinct to protect her from further rejection (by telling her not to ask for a point when he'd so recentlybeen in the exact same position), not to mention Richard's constant support and affirmation... No one could give her a hug, but everyone tried to support her in whatever ways they could. I really hope they all, but particularly Greg & Katherine (and Greg & Johnny) had the opportunity after the show to say whatever they needed to say- or what needed to be said- and heal, because this season had some real rough spots.
@@thewingedporpoise it's a shame sometimes though. Like I get why they had to cut Rhod Gilbert's secret filming story but it was honestly the funniest thing to occur in the entire series and the context never made it into the episode

For anyone who thinks Katherine did not enjoy the show, current contestant at the time of writing Steve Pemberton has revealed it was Katherine who recommended the show to him.

I was thinking the same thing.... she probably felt a little proud of them, and he straight up told her they were rubbish and kept making fun of them.... as an artist, I actually felt gutted for her.
That was probably the most epic ending to a series possible. You could tell how badly both Daisy and Richard wanted it. If Daisy took second in that task though, the series would have needed a tiebreak, how intense would that have been?
I know Alex doesnt wanna do a losers season... but what about an "all stars" season. Fan faves could return, 2nd placers could return... some of the losers could return.

Or an adult man trying to fill an egg with helium
Him panicking at the locker task was my favorite moment.
when Richard told Katherine that her masks were beautiful she was so happy, she is so precious
Also he supported her in the clothes hanging, emphasizing that her feet didn't cross the line.
Katherine won my heart! and so did Johnny! also special shoutout to Mawaan he was really entertaining
I really like the apology for hurtfully trashing her masks and Katherines acceptance of the apology. That was the first time Greg broke character in 10 years and was worth doing. Stay awesome Katherine and Greg!
Is there a timestamp for the apology? Keep missing it!

Right after saying he wouldnt go easy on Johnny though i was a little sad
This is the first time that I watch an entire series of Taskmaster alongside other people. This finale hits different :'c I love them all so muuuuuch
Same here! Plus I feel more connected to this cast than any other because they have that air of lockdown nuttiness about them that we all feel ...
Yes. My first time watching it as broadcast too (or a couple of hours behind here on RUclips). It gives it a different feel and makes you more invested. I've never before cared who won.
@@cesbi It was definitely cathartic to see them lose their shit, bless them lol 💚
I'm really proud of Mawaan, he really picked up his game towards the second half of the series and he ended up doing very well overall.
I disagree. I think in many tasks he was helped. A good example is the houses built with beer coasters. The other's houses had an interior, a door and even a roof! That's incredible! But his was just 4 piles of coasters with a light on top, and somehow he won. And this stuff happened more times
I'm so sad this season is over. I will miss this cast so much :(
honestly my favourite cast of all ten seasons.
@@Emaef agreed! They where the perfect cast for the shit fest that is 2020
Tastes can be so different. My least favourite cast ever.
@@Emaef Series 5 is still unsurpassed for me, but I absolutely loved this lineup.
This season has really been such a blessing during the depressing winter quarantine, huge props to these guys for releasing it on youtube for free
Katherine was absolutely (and unexpectedly) mental throughout the whole series and I'm 100% here for it.
I'm thankful to this series for introducing me to Mawaan.
He's a lovely lad, isn't he? I may have developed a crush.
What and adorable person 🥰
NGL, as much as it was a long shot, I really hoped Mawaan was going to win. Oh well. I enjoyed this series and I'm definitely looking forward to more TM in the New Year. Also, I wish I could give Katherine a hug, she looks like she needs it, haha.
Going into the final show, it was still possible (although unlikely) for him to win.
I was also hoping he'd win
Richard's wanted to go on Taskmaster for years so I'm glad he won. But otherwise I totally agree, I was rooting for Mawaan at like the third episode after he started his comeback from final place haha.
At least he didn't end up in the bottom two, that would have made me sad.
Yeah, I was rooting for him too but as soon as I heard the scores for the karaoke task I knew it was over.
It's a hippo!
Idk why but Greg allowing Alex to 'sleep' at 35:00 instead of voilently waking him up as expected was really sweet.
So he could write on his head
The bits where he’s extremely hostile to him are pretty funny, but I always like it even more when they subvert it and do a bit together. Like this one, and when they got marching ponytails, and when their chairs smoked like rockets
okay, discovering taskmaster was the best thing that happened to me in 2020
SAME.
Go back and watch the other series, youre gonna love it
I hate to override the Taskmaster but it shall be done: Johnny, Katherine and Mawaan's musical number was just as good and artistic as the the other one.
@@SyckestBlah Should have been like 2 and 3 points. I thought the performances were close, they didn't deserve such a gap.
@@SyckestBlah We'll have to wait and see what Ed Gamble has to say in this week's Taskmaster Podcast.
I definitly thought the trio was better! I was very surprised by the taskmasters ruling.
I think it's time to introduce HawkEye/VAR into Taskmaster rulings, I completely agree that the points were way too uneven for this. I loved the trio. Greg was a little biased this time around I think, too scared of upsetting Daisy probably lol
I thought the pub signs would be so much smaller than they really were
Yeah, they looked a lot more impressive in real life.
Katherine really should have watched previous seasons before doing it. She had no idea what types of tasks were waiting for her :D
She might have rejected the offer and that would be bad for us.
Maybe... but i found it funnier watching her being befuddled by everything lol Katharine's catapult task will forever be my fav
Maybe she did.
I'm so happy Richard won, he seems so genuinely nice and charming.
"I don't like this room. Bad things happen in this room."
Best summary of the The Lab so far.
1:13 that cut, smooth as hell if only Greg kept his legs crossed. Makes you wonder how much of it we don't see. I want cutless Taskmaster damn
It's the outtakes, if you've seen em, they're funny, but just cut for time
lol i didn't even notice it!
That was very neat!
@@thewingedporpoise it's a shame sometimes though. Like I get why they had to cut Rhod Gilbert's secret filming story but it was honestly the funniest thing to occur in the entire series and the context never made it into the episode
Katherine is an absolute treasure. I hope someone tells her how much people loved seeing her on this show! 💜
Imagine Daisy finally getting phenomenons right only to find out that the correct word is phenomena 😂😂😂
I feel like he actually made Katherine cry about the masks and they cut it out. She looked truly heartbroken
I still think that was why guilty Greg awarded her a bonus point.
@@Tao_Tology probably, there have been a few other occasions that's happened, such as Greg letting Jamali off for breaking a rule after scoring his cushion-spinning trick low, and gave Phil a few extra points in other tasks after the '50 different items in the bin' debacle.
Aw, Katherine Parkinson, giving her all every episode..
She won the 2nd episode
Except when asked to learn lines of dialogue. :P
@@Hugh_Jas Wait, isn't that what actors and actresses do for living - learning lines? And Richard was awesome - he nailed most of the lines.
@@CaesarTjalbo And lost every other game.
Genuinely surprised she didn't ask alex to move the clothes rail, undress the dummy, or hang the clothes up... Laziest contestant ever.
38:56 the genuin concern when he said "no don't ask him"
As he felt the pain again of his son not talking to him anymore.
So precious!
What am I missing here?
Congrats to Richard! Happy for him.
Katherine and the spider was so good. Holy crap. I just love how unintentionally creative she is.
This series has given me so much. A new appreciation for a Herring, a spaceman I fell in love with, a princess of chaos, a superheroine named Achievement Woman and a grandfather with the saddest eyes trying his best.
For anyone who thinks Katherine did not enjoy the show, current contestant at the time of writing Steve Pemberton has revealed it was Katherine who recommended the show to him.
"I'm not that kind of guy"
*Cuts to Katherine*
Mawaan and Katherine have totally switched places in how competent I initially thought they'd be at basically everything over the course of the series.
Katherine really was on the edge of crying at the beginning
I was thinking the same thing.... she probably felt a little proud of them, and he straight up told her they were rubbish and kept making fun of them.... as an artist, I actually felt gutted for her.
She was legitimately upset. She seemed a bit unstable all series tbh
That was probably the most epic ending to a series possible. You could tell how badly both Daisy and Richard wanted it.
If Daisy took second in that task though, the series would have needed a tiebreak, how intense would that have been?

5:44 watching Daisy fail to pronounce "phenomenon" made me choke on my food
Actually, it should have been "phenomena" as that is the proper plural.
@@DrZaius3141 You're right! Alex should've corrected her once she got the word out properly just to put the cherry on top 😂

Who doesn't?
First and only good prize task of the season. They effort-ed
I know Alex doesnt wanna do a losers season... but what about an "all stars" season. Fan faves could return, 2nd placers could return... some of the losers could return.
Did he really say that? Or do you just assume that he does not want to?
@@dori5421 i read a couple of times that he said he wouldnt wanna do a losers of losers season.
Greg was far nicer about the "evp" collection than I would've been. Truly a paragon of patience and good humor.
Katherine, throughout all this season, has been the sweetest person ever, she was absolutely the highlight!
Katherine and the spider absolutely broke me. I am actually crying at how much she looks like it was a completely normal thing to assume a table was the spider 🤣🤣
Mawaan's little dance at the very end was lovely
Dog Meat Trifle's performance was a trainwreck to behold but the episode should've been called "My Beautiful Boy". Poor Bernard...
Catherina Parkinson is an absolute delight! So competitive but such a singular brain! I hope she's at home being comfy every single day. I love her so much.
I think it's the year of Richard Herring.
With his triumph of his lockdown podcasts (they're my favourite out of all comed0y-clockdown-podcasts), his brilliant episodes with ventriliquist dolls and now winning Taskmaster - I'm so happy for him!
Yeah he doesn't need to be a grumpy character anymore.
Not enough was made of Daisy winning the spider task in 8 minutes 8 seconds, the perfect spider number
Never not amazed that after almost not being picked up by any channel they ended up creating one of the most successful comedy shows.
I cheered out loud when Katherine won her 5 points
Glad Richard won, seems like a genuine nice guy!
I really like Katherine's dress.
I really like Katherine
I've been trying to track it down to buy it I like it so much.
All her outfits are on point. And with that jumpsuit she could easily be an extra in Star Wars.
"I expected them to be better than they are", Jesus H Christ! We've not seen the like since Seán Lock's critique of the school children actors.
OMG, i remember that ... XD
I could watch Katherine doing this forever, they definitely should do the best of the losers series like they did with the winners so we can watch some more of these beautiful disasers
It really is a shame they couldn't have a live audience for this season because this cast has by far been one of my favorites and this season is so fucking funny
right!!
They did have a live audience, just not in the same studio. They were elsewhere and watching everything on monitors.
The GENUINE willingness to just BREAK Katherine ...why is this so good?!?!?!
Katherine reaching out to grab the coat rack with her feet firmly in the square is exactly what I would have done, so I was deeply invested in her not getting disqualified for it
johnny absolutely losing his mind at that last task had me literally crying with laughter.
Katherine's take on the spider task had me crying :-D
17:59 Mawaan saying "Look! A cat!" while brandishing his chair has the same energy as Diogenes bustin in with a plucked chicken yelling "Behold, a Man!"
I want Johnny to be my crazy uncle and Daisy my lunatic aunt :(
and Katherine my wife
Side note to my previous comment: I’d so happily put Katherine s masks throughout any outdoor garden and art spaces I create...
