It's so very strange watching this now 3 years after the original quarantine started. It's so strange seeing them all so far apart after binging the first 9 seasons
Truly - it feels very weird but I am SO glad they continued on filming. Everybody needs this kind of humor and laughter!

Poor Johny, he light up as a child when he saw the baloons, and was so heartbroken when they flew away.

I assumed I wouldn't get to see the new series on RUclips for at least 3 or 4 months, if at all. I am so happy I was so wrong. I love this show.

Great that they're social distancing, but I must say in my sleep deprived brain there's something hilarious and absurd about their chair placement and imagining the future where someone's looking back and having a think about who thought forcing these angles was a great idea

They did it so much better on the norwegian version of taskmaster. Still socially distanced, but not awkwardly far apart. Richard and Daisy might as well be outside looking in, so far apart are they.
The chemistry between Greg and Alex doesnt work so well when Greg is not looking down and to his left, but mostly looking down on Alex. Now he mostly looks left, since the distance kind of negates the 6 inches of height difference.
And Alex now seems like the Taskmaster's equal, since he can't look up to him anymore :)
I watched series 12 (well, the half that is available in the US) and 11 before this one, and my dumb ass assumed they were sitting so far apart to make editing the episode easier, so it was just 1 person in the shot at a time. Then Greg explained it in this episode and I was like, "Oooooooh!" I work in a hospital, so you'd think I would have realized...
Mawaan is like Thanos, he needs to find balance in his universe. The teddy bear strapped to his back was a great idea, then he goes to try to question why there are balls on the grass. He vanishes a cow with a great trick, and then tries to fill an egg with helium

I like how in the prize task, they clearly put the TM logo on the bottle to avoid displaying the brand name, say “anti-reflux medicine” - but Greg clearly doesn't give a shit and just goes “…Pouring Gaviscon on a kebab…”
There's no need to hide brands in the UK so I'm not sure why that bottle has a TM logo on it.
@@krashd Well, perhaps, but e.g. in WILTY, on the BBC, whenever they mention a brand, they feel the need to say, “Other brands are available” (e.g. in the "Jon's emergency car kit" claim, or the "never drank fizzy drinks" claim).

I can't lie - Johnny is so pure I can't not love him. The fact he's a walking car crash only adds to my adoration.
That egg task has to be the saddest task of all time. I've never seen such genuine despair from so many people at once
I hope more shows do this. Many people outside of the country the show is in can't watch it on tv and have to watch it on unofficial streaming websites. At least this way we can support the show.

good God, Johnney Vegas during the egg+ballon task was an entire movie in itself. The sheer unbridled joy when finding the helium, the despair and shock when he lost it all. He's so sweet and soft in this entire episode??
I also absolutely loved the bit where suddenly everyone helped each other during the on-stage task. A mini revolt against the non-stated rules I guess.
Two things kept happening this episode: Greg giving Katherine a harder time than necessary, and Daisy May laughing so hard I thought her water was going to break.
I feel like this is a competition to see who will be David Baddiel's succesor.

I’m guessing there wasn’t a very high bar to start with, but absolutely same.
I just love how happy Johnny was with that box. It was so wholesome. And how heart broken he was. He is my favourite.
Johnny is my new favourite holy shit. The entire cast is fantastic but he's really something else and so wonderfully dramatic and emotional. I love it.
Easily the best "game show" I've ever seen. Love the goofy tasks and the bits of banter between the contestants and Greg and Alex, who have this Lord Blackadder & Baldric thing going on between them, which adds a lot to the charm of the show. British humour is just the best there is (and I'm not a Brit).

Taskmaster producers really have no idea the joy they have brought a lonely boy with cabin fever in Costa Rica by uploading this. Also the sorrow they will bring forth if it's just a first episode deal
Watching this from the distance of 2024, I'd have been able to guess when this was filmed just by the Social Distancing. Salute to everyone involved for providing this bit of joy during a genuinely terrible period.

@@olivermcintyre8403 I go further: I didnt like season 6 at all and I stopped watching after a few episodes. There where some lough here and there, but I thought most members of the cast where "meh" and others even unlikable. Then back to 7, where every single cast member was a blast to watch.
