    I really enjoy listening to you and your husband. You compliment each other so well. Also, it’s so fun when you taste test your finished dishes and, though you already know how good it is, you always sound like you’ve surpassed yourself each time!!! They look delicious!!! 😋
    Our dad was a very good cook, and though it’s hard for me to choose a favorite dish of his, I’d have to say Meatloaf was one of my favorites. I believe he used a can of tomato paste (which he’d season with spices) to spread over them before putting them into the oven 😋
    The ends were my favorite part, but, I think our and dad would usually use them to “taste test” his creation before setting it out on the table for dinner 😂

    im in the UK and wanted to say thank you so much for this recipe, i have a catering van selling burgers at the stadium, usually on a good saturdays game we would sell about 130 burgers, well what i did was turned your meatloaf recipe into a gourmet burger and the last 5 weeks we have been selling over 200 burgers on the day with everyone asking us how we make them, lol thanks so much and god bless you.

    I love your retro recipes! Well, truthfully, I love all your recipes. They bring me back to my childhood. Also, whenever I’m looking for a specific recipe I always ask myself; “I wonder if Noreen has it on her website?” You usually do. Anyway, you are the #1 resource for me. Thank you for all of your hard work over the years. Rick’s too! ❤️

    The end piece, definitely, for the crunch. Meatloaf with mayonnaise on toasted white bread, heaven. : )

    Awesome Recipe! I also add Worcestershire sauce to my meat mixture... and for my topping ketchup, bbq sauce, a dab of mustard and about a tsp more Worcestershire sauce! So tasty! I make 5 lbs at a time because my family loves the leftovers for the next couple days!

    I grew up with tomato gravy on mom's meatloaf which was always good. I figured out how to cook the meatloaf in brown gravy (chicken broth, chopped onions, soy sauce mostly for color and corn starch) and never looked back.

    Looks delicious Noreen. I only make my meatloaf with ground beef since where I live the local markets don't carry ground pork; not even my local butcher. Maybe I can do a ground turkey and ground beef combo and see how that will work next time I make it. Thanks again for another great recipe :-)

    Noreen, glad you made this, I never made a meatloaf before and would like to try this recipe. The thing is that I can't eat beef, I can eat pork, chicken and turkey. What combination should I use with pork? Thank you.

    I thought that you weren't putting out anymore videos so I checked your home page and I can't believe that I am subscribed with notifications and I'm not getting them anymore. I wonder if I unsubscribe and then resubscribe I will get your videos. I heard about this happening to others. Does anyone know that will work and If not what can I do. Sorry for the rant but I really like your videos.

    Hi, Noreen. I'm confused about the bouillon powder. Can you use something like Better Than Bouillon? That is what I always use. If not, what is a brand name to look for? Thank you!!

      Bullion powder is being used here because it is a dry powder to create a mix that can be incorporated much like onion soup mix to the meat for the meatloaf. Since better than bullion is a wet paste, that would not be used in the mix. There is a separate link to the recipe for the meatloaf seasoning mix in the description box. I use Knorr brand beef bouillon powder

    I attempted to make a meatloaf last week. When it came out of the oven and I tried to get it off of the baking pan I had it on because I don't like to use a loaf pan either it completely fell apart it was done and it tasted really good but instead of being able to slice it it just simply fell apart and I followed a recipe that was very similar to this one do you have any idea what you think I did wrong.

      Sorry. No clue. Sounds like not enough binder for the amount of meat. If you used super lean meat that may also pose a problem. More breadcrumbs more eggs or a combination thereof.

    I like bbq sauce in my meatloaf and as a glaze. I prefer the sausage meat loaf with jimmy Deans sausage. Not a huge fan of hamburger.

    I do my meatloaf in the crock pot now.

      I don't like my meatloaf to stew in it's own fat. So baking it in the oven is what we prefer.

      @@noreenskitchenchannel I would prefer it too, but I have a broken circadian rhythm and short term baking has been out. Although there is a new medication for my sleep disorder and if it works and I can sleep normally, I am definitely getting back into baking!!!

    Speaking of meat loaf as a door stopper Bruce told me his step mom made oatmeal that could be used as plaster. But that’s what his Dad said he had to eat every morning before they could eat the good stuff.
