I think we all NEED recipes like this to stretch our food budget and our groceries. I’m excited about your series you are starting! Yes! I’ll be here for every one! Thank you!
A friend of mine used to make a tuna casserole and instead of potato chips she use crushed Dorito chips. I think I will do that with your recipe. Looks delicious! Thank you so much for posting it.
This is the way my Mom made it back in the 50's. But we had it quite often when I was growing up. We love it. I have made it for my family and my grandchildren love it. It takes just a few minutes to put together. I make this with crushed chips A can of very early peas drained A can of Tuna drained A Tbsp finely chopped onion. A can of cream of Mushroom soup Milk - measuring 1 can with soup can. 1 bag of crushed potato chips (be sure to reserve some to cover the top for later) Mix soup and milk together. Then flake your drained tuna and add to mixture. Then add peas and onions. Add 1/3 cup crushed chips. Mix well. Lightly butter a baking dish. Then add a very light layer of chips on the bottom Pour your mixture over the top.( Depending on the size baking dish you use you may layer chips and mixture) ending with your mixture. Bake at 350 For 20 minutes Them add your reserved chips Bake 10 more minutes
Looks good Noreen. Reminds me of my mother’s tuna casserole. Hers was a little different but she used chips and I think she put peas in it. I loved it.
Hi Noreen....what a pleasant nostalgic trip down memory lane with this delicious meal! Have never seen the green bean/tomato side dish before but it will be on our dinner table tomorrow evening. Tuna casserole is one of my favourite feel-good dishes.
Wow I have to try it this way!looks so yummy. I've made it so many ways for a cheap and filling meal and it never fails.no matter what I add to it,it always turns out great! I too use potato chips and diff crunches on top! Once I used crushed pretzels when I had no chips and crackers.I like cornflakes on it too! Can't wait to try this one!😋😇😘
Pantry meal…excellent concept using as much as pantry ingredients as possible! I NEVER had tuna casserole…when I mentioned to my in-laws my sister-in-law she turned her nose up and said yuk. Well I love tuna melts so…..I can’t wait to try this. By the way I break up my albacore tuna the same way🤷🏻♀️. Thanks so much!
My mamma always made this with the potato chips on top.. You had the ultra deluxe version! ;) we only had tuna.. onions..mushroom soup.. plain mac and some cheese. I'm going to try this version for sure! (ha.. sans olives, cuz I hate them) Thanks Noreen! Look forward to more pantry stuff.
Not a fan of tuna or olives and never tried making anything with them, but I'm definitely giving this a try. I make mac and cheese a lot so I'm excited everything can just be added to the same pot. Thank you and your mom rocks.
Also you may like the albacore tuna. It has a less fishy taste. It is denser and more meaty coming from a different part of the fish that contains less oil.
TFS!!! I remember the fist time u made tuna casserole your daughter requested it for a birthday dinner .Iam not sure but I think u said Rick prefer his moms way and thats how u made it . Luv these recipes.Either way.
My ex husband preferred the egg noodle version I made. Which is based on his mother’s recipe. The first time I made him this he laughed at me. Said it wasn’t tuna casserole. I should have taken that as a sign. Lol!
Funny where our minds go in dire times - I just plopped a tuna casserole recipe out on my stack of meals to make though it's been years since I've had any - def old school. I'm old - who's BRANDON??
I absolutely did and I also made that information known in the printable recipe the link is available in the pinned comment as well as in the description box. Please refer to this time stamp to hear where I mentioned temperature for baking: ruclips.net/video/yfVuoCJhUkY/видео.html

Tried this tonight it was a hit! Thanks Noreen.
We always had boiled eggs on the side when my mom made tuna casserole. This looks great!
My sweet mama used to make this omitting the canned mushrooms but we all loved it. Thank you for bringing back such fun memories.

I love Tuna Noodle Casserole.
helpful video
Yummy
What, no peas!? Lol. I got so tired of the original version of this recipe I stopped making it. I'm definitely going to try this one!
Oh my the girls are grown so fast!
I hate tuna but this looks so good! And I am a prepper so I have everything in my food storage! Can’t wait to try it.
You could use canned chicken instead
I am not fond of tuna either. But tuna casserole doesn't have a strong tuna flavor. I think you will be surprised at how well they taste.

She sure did

I've switched to canned mushrooms! Fresh mushrooms are expensive and, of course, my 'super power' is letting them spoil in the refrigerator! 😂
I also have that superpower. Recently tried frozen sliced mushrooms and was really surprised! I now kept those on hand as well
My family says my tuna casserole is the Best🤩
Anyone else not getting notifications??? Been subscribed "forever"...hmmmm...
RUclips has always throttled me. I get way less views on my videos than most. I don’t know how to fix that.

Where is the link to your other tuna recipe?
Ok I have to go get potatoe chips, just start without me.
If frozen, what oven temp and cooking time? Thanks
That really depends on how large your casserole is.
@@noreenskitchenchannel using the size in your video.
400 for an hour covered. Then remove cover ad another 15 to 20 min. Ovens are different so keep an eye.
