Playing Gor-rok and starting with Lord Kroak almost feels like cheating. One of the strongest defensive fighters paired with a floating icbm launcher.
You auto resolve and the dead toad has triple the amount of kills as your whole army

@@digiorno1142 It's one of the frustrating things about Lizardmen. Like, their auto-resolve is generally really good(Saurus OP), but it never takes into account either the Skink Priests OR the Slann. So many times a fight will try to tell me it's gonna be a defeat or a close victory because I'm gonna lose a bunch of units, I do the fight manually, and the spellcasters absolutely THRASH the enemy.
@@perrycarters3113 That’s not specific to the lizardmen that’s how casters are in general. The autoresolve extremely underrates spellcasters
@@digiorno1142 For sure, it's just frustrating sometimes to have to play out easily winnable battles cuz the game doesn't think my Fire lore Slann is gonna get more than 20 kills against an army of Skavenslaves, or that Kroak isn't gonna be dropping a steady stream of tactical nukes.

I would honestly give Ulrika a good fighting chance. I find her to be really good all around, and with lore of shadows, and having good regen, she can survive well in melee. Or she can be a nuisance with her ranged attacks atop her horse.
Seeing this, i have no idea why CA just hasnt made Krell a permanent hero that Kemmler gets access to from the start
The thing is, Kemmler has no real gimmick outside of Krell and his belatedly revealed allegiance to chaos. Krell ends up being unique in that all his buffs come direct from Kemmler, and their relationship in lore is very symbiotic (until the end that is) so it makes sense that Kemmler is played like a summoner rather than Krell having autonomy. It also prevents them from ever being in separate armies.

I very much disagree with ghost heroes, and would put Aekold and Ulrika in their stead. Ghost heroes improve army only as much as normal heroes, and their physical resistance at the cost of armor doesn't make them beater than thane at holding the line. Aekold and Ulrika on the other hand give big buffs to the armies and are just good at fights.

The Blue scribes get massive WoM cost reduction, buff Horrors to the stratosphere and grant an apocalyptic spell. They can win most battles on their own...
Spamming spells with the Blue Scribes is one of the best feels in the game, I think they would be top 3
I just played the final battle of Vilitch campaign with the eye of gods WoM cost reduction (+Hammerstorm and Aekold) and All Blue Scribes Spells cost 1 WoM (even lvl 2)

You can also use activated abilities to reroll the scribes spells! I usually give them loads of small items with short cooldowns so i can always reset the spells when nececary
Something cool to do I get all your followers in Kairos Army to be cultists of change. Takes a while and requires a lot of territory. But you can get like 220 winds of magic which can constantly be maintained due to the blue scribes abilities. You can use the cultists as summoners, and they also increase strength of spells.
In my opinion irredescent horrors are useless tho.
Or if you are playing as Yuan Bo, steal Blue Scribes, have Yuan lose against Cathay lord that you latar confederate and use astromantic boon, you can have 100% reduction in magic cost!

@@metasaurus3233 I tried it, and all the spells cost 1 wind. However if you steal Coadil he has skill that reduces spell cost by 10%.
Aekold hellbrass or Harald hammerstorm i think they would deserve a place on the list, i think hammerstorm minimum one of the best hero, high armor, melee bonus, plus area damage what make him the best for fighting in the middle of the battle. Of course i didnt count large units against him, but for me he is doing fine.
And Aekold would deserve because he is doing fine in duels, kills easily any lord, and he has barrier what makes hime tanky.
I'd argue that Vlad is the best Legendary Hero when Isabella is selected as the legendary lord. It's not just his stats and the fact that he's damn near unkillable. It's the fact that he synergizes super-well with Isabella's Vampire spam build. Run Vlad in, enemy tarpits around him, start dropping AoE magic like it's an artillery barrage.

@@KC-kl6qc it is, for sure. However, he is still technically a Legendary Hero (as Isabella is if you take Vlad). I always thought they should make him an early-recruitable Legendary Lord instead of a Hero. Letting them both be in the same army is just a little too strong.
@@aesirgaming1014 It used to be that both were lords, but due to their lord effects heavily encouraged you having them together all the time. Just makes sense that one of the two ends up as a hero for the other instead of having to run around constantly with two armies stacked on the other.
Kroak is so powerful because he basically completely negates one of only two types of units, that being groups and single entities. Units that are in groups are on borrowed time the moment they enter battle, which means only single entities are truly safe from him. No other legendary lord is as effective when it comes to removing entire groups of enemies as he is.
Well that’s just straight up not true, did bro forget Teclis, Kairos, Mannfred, and Drazhoath exist? Kroak is really strong, but he can’t solo armies.
The blue scribes should definitely be higher, because they also get to cast all spells for -60% winds of magic
To me gorduz backstabber is essential for the chaos dwarfs as he makes their early game palatable.
Toad Death Star really is the only one worthy of first place. Kroaky really is broken OP for a legendary hero.
I know this is heracy, but I don't think so. He is great at blowing up infantry... but 1. That is practically all he does

@@masaheimoi You also got to understand that most armies are infantry focus for their frontlines and well yeah it's not special that he blows them up, what is special however is that he does no friendly fire and can give 40% physical resistance and leadership to multiple units
@@gamingwolf6735 No friendly fire is good, but hardly gamebreaking. As for him giving 40% ward save that is for 18 seconds only, and he lacks the mobility to use that for hit and run tactics.
@@masaheimoi You don't need to do hit and run tactics the Lizardmen have some of the tankiest frontlines in the game, and yeah, he might be a big target HOWEVER he gets barrier, regen, and missile resistance making it difficult to kill him with range
@@gamingwolf6735 Hit and run would be the best for Kroaks 40% ward save ability since it doesn't last very long, and when it recharces you could be away not taking damage. As it is it is an ok ability, but not amazing. And when it comes to missiles, even with barrier, regen and missile resistance you can't make him more difficut to kill him with missiles as small fast wizard like empire life mage on pegasus.

Bad list. Hammarstorm is vastly superior for all his army buffs and his melee potential is beyond any other melee hero. Ulrika is also a legendary lord level hero
