Attempting to make an efficient egg holder that can hold different sized eggs, use less material and require less support. After I made the egg in the sketch I realised I couldn't add an even sized thickness around it and this is exactly what I needed ty!

Hi. I’ve a problem. I’m making a scale model of a large steam loco I made years ago. Printed version for the mantelpiece. It’s going well and just printed a wheel. This wheel has a secondary axis for a coupling rod which I’m including in the wheel print . The engine has a driving wheel with an extended axle . Simple just extend the extrusion. No; it doesn’t work because I put a small chamfer on it so I can’t extend it with the chamfer. How can you remove a chamfer from a model?

I am very new to Fusion……when I try to select the entire object (car hood in .obj format), I get the blue shading, but then try to use the thicken tool, and the object goes “gold”. I can’t seem to get the thicken function to work. Any help would be appreciated as I’m not totally familiar with all the basic functions of the program.
Edit: I should add that the object alone has a very high polygon amount. Could that be part of the issue?

    Hi Jstin
when I draw a shape and draw another shape on it i can't grab the points on the second shape. would you let me know why?
I drew a rectangle and then a circle on it. when I tried to grab the circle to make a tangent line I couldn't!!

for the last form that you did, once you thicken the final form, is there a way to break that shape down to be cut on a laser or plasma (dxf or dwg files) and shaped out of sheet metal? im trying to figure out how to do that for complex shapes? im a metal fabricator by trade, and hobbyist and have recently started learning the program. very helpful video, though!
