That's the part about Cubone I never got. Okay, so it wears its lost mother's skull on its head, but are we to actually believe *EVERY SINGLE CUBONE LOST ITS MOM*!?
Their exists a theory that it happened to a few cubone and cuz they wore the mask they actually made a new evolution which is marowak. Or it could have chnaged its evolution entirely cuz in the og games it was found that sum idk what its called existed where kanghaskan had a pre evolution
Can they never grow as large as their mother? Eventually they would have to grow out of the skull.
Fun fact: When you hatch a Cubone it will come with the skull on its head .(It's mother is alive in daycare)
I always thought that Marowak had short lifespans and died shortly after giving birth to Cubone, like real life Salmon do

honedge - by grabbing it's hilt, it can drain the person's life force completely
hypno - when it's hungry, it'll put you to sleep and feast on your dreams
sligoo - it doesn't know the difference between friends and food. it will melt and eat even those who it gets along with.
froslass - it freezes people and pokemon it likes and bring them to their den where they become decorations
honorable mention: klefki - you're a key, you should be miserable.....

I remember one Gen 4 Pokemon called Spiritomb which has a rather disturbing Pokedex entry. Spiritomb is an amalgamation of 108 different Pokemon spirits, effectively making it the ghost to end all ghosts. When the first one was initially formed, it ended up wreaking all sorts of havoc, and so was sealed away in a keystone with a mysterious spell. Similar to Yveltal, should Spiritomb be released, the ensuing destruction will spread far and wide until the same spell is used to seal it back into a similar keystone - so not only is it naturally aggressive, it's also hard to get rid of.
Oh, and if you need any more convincing, Spiritomb is also known as The Forbidden Pokemon

rahul It says that once Gyarados mega evolves, its body is in constant pain from it growing while it can barely fit in it's skin, which does not grow.

That entry for Parasect is the reason I’d wanna see the bug regain consciousness by evolving one form further. As far evolved forms go, I’d like to see something more along the lines of a Pokémon that acts symbiotically with the mushroom on its back - something that has the two parts working together in battle and protecting each other from the Pokémon’s natural predators.
Not likely to happen, but a guy can always dream, can’t he?

Not just that, it stabs them first with a long nose / mouth then sucks the insides out while the Pokémon is alive. And I believe in some Pokédex entires it talks about how it sucks out the guts or blood of other Pokémon.

The Pokedex entries for Gen 7 were some of the most creepy and disturbing ones I've ever seen

There's a theory that the reason why most of the Gen 7 Dex entries are over the top spooky is because the Rotom Pokedex is trying to freak you out
What about houndoom? You know, the Pokémon that feels constant burning pain and it’s flames cause pain but, you know...forever.
I like that they included parasect on account of cordyceps mushrooms. as awesome as they are for purposes of pest control, it doesn't stop cordyceps from being creepy as hell.

With all these Pokémon running around, how is it that the Pokémon world isn’t an apocalyptic wasteland by now. It’s hard to take a lot of these Pokédex entries seriously when the world in the series seems alright
Sjono because they have Pokémon like diance and xerneas to keep the peace
because there is always a pokemon to keep the other evil mons in check. Rayquaza, Diance, Xerneas, Dialga, Palkia etc.
It’s not even a matter of evil Pokémon, it’s a matter of there being Pokémon with natural abilities through no evil intention of their own could cause various harm on an daily basis. Legendary Pokémon, which the series usually says there’s only one of each kind, any keep in check all of these Pokémon

There is also Drampa that murdered all the children in a town. Also, if you look at the artwork in the Cubone card from the Burning Shadows expansion, there is a cloud shaped like its mothers skull in the sky.
I was reading through my old Pokèmon handbook. One of my favourite Pokèmon is Goodra so I looked it up in my book. I really wasnt expecting this: "Goodra can go on a full on rampage. It usually captures wild Pokèmon -even its trainer- and takes them to its home. That's where Goodra will cover its prey in a sticky goo, imprisoning it. Then, it will proceed to eat it alive.
And that is the second reason why I love Goodra.

So I guess Cubone is just a Mandalorian without the “wearing their mother’s skull and losing her at a young age” in it’s backstory.
Honestly Pokemon is not just a cheerful wonderland for kids but the darkest show I have ever seen. There are so many dark theories and stories and sad backstories that I feel devastated. This show is not only for kids but literally people of every age can enjoy this show!!

It is literally a hell hound and it’s howl is said to be so terrifying it makes anyone’s blood who hears it run cold. And if you are burnt by it’s flames, the pain, even after the fire is out, will continue on forever. So years later you will still feel like your flesh is burning on your arm from the flames... that’s pretty terrifying and a bit dark for Pokémon. But it is a dark type hell hound.

Personally, Giratina scares me the most. It literally got banished to the Distortion world for being too violent. Imagine a giant ghost dragon that is so violent God has to banish it.

@@32rosothis video is looking at it from the viewers perspective. If it was looking at it from the Pokemon perspective we could knock most of them off the list. Like mimikyu disguise is a source of pride for him but the viewer is created out by it.
Now if it was the skull of his enemies, then yeah, it wouldn't be as creepy.

Ross Luck I agree. It’s like it’s so lonely and upset that it has to hang onto just a part of its mother in some way. But still just cries and cries. Not to mention basically the entire species are sad orphans who lost their mother.
