Thanks for everything you said about "Easter Egg Snow On Mt. Silver". Especially on the 10 year Anniversary of the short film I made. I am so happy my sprite designs left a legacy on people. I remember when I first announced the fan film I showed off the designs of the frostbitten pokemon. 7 days before the film premiered I actually redid all of them that way people could be more afraid of them. I even like to remake the design of The Cold Pikachu. Whats even cooler is that Reidd Maxwell is remaking the gameplay of the pasta. It's all full circle because His original version Of Lost Silver was what got me into Creepypasta.
I watched your video when I was a kid years ago. It ignited my passion in horror and all things macabre; I wish I could show all of my gratitude for how much your creativity had helped me discover a way to put all my negative intrusive thoughts into something creative (my avenue was writing) ❤ I struggled with depression and now bpd for a long time, but because of you and many others inspiring me to stay alive so one day I can turn my short horror into short films like you did with one of my personal favorite creepy pastas. Your short film was amazingly written and directed, I loved all of it. It DEFINITELY holds a core memory for me!!!❤ I hope you’re doing well now, and stay spooky
I'm hoping that the gameplay is based off of the HGSS version of Soul Silver. I think the mountain being longer (and covered in snow) adds to the feeling (that, and as a kid, I didn't realize that they'd expanded it in that)
tbh I always like the creepypastas that felt more "realistic", stuff that doesnt contain supernatural elements and instead was just someone detailing a creepy game they found.
Like the one who I found a game on the floor then a homeless man came out of nowhere and beat the shit out of me with the game then robbed me before I want to the hospital
I like Glitched Red purely because when Red says how people basically threw him away, it doesn't seem scary, it's more sad than anything. Especially the one line "They took everything from me. My voice, my freedom, my LEGACY. And they replaced me with some brown-eyed kid."
Y'know I find it ironic that he eventually returned time and time again in later games while the brown-eyed kid never really seemed to do so (aside from the remake). He's way more popular than Ethan/Gold among the fans
That is just fanon red, The canon red is just a kid to kinda pre-teen And isnt sad all his history, is a fucking Creepypasta not a fanfic, literally even saying he is on the forgot is other about they more forgotten version of red the one of Pokemon Adventures
I loved the Strangled Red trilogy. Stevens descending madness over the loss of his beloved charizard Mike's sorrow, and horror, knowing *he's* responsible. Steven murdering the player and their pokemon And worst of all *starting Lost Silver*
Strangled Red has always been my favourite pokepasta. I always felt bad for Steven when he lost Miki. I also thought that this creepypasta was quite well-written for a creepypasta back then
in a way the original felt like it was made to spite other pokepastas by doing it better, i mean hell it even has some 4th wall breaking moments ackmoledging how cliche it sounds which adds more depth to the story in a way. has to be my favorite along with Easter Egg Snow on Mt. Silver for both the stories and the pov characters sharing it
Same here, still my favourite pokepasta for sure. It was also one of the first creepypastas i've read. Sure, nowadays, after reading many better creepypastas, it seems pretty medicore to me, but it still has an important place in my heart.
I liked it too, but a part of me always wished there was an alternate ending where maybe Daisy helps him with his grief over Miki's death and they visit her grave and find an egg there meaning Miki might live on
11:10 That quiet "Bulbasaur btw" is so true tho, level them up until they get vine whip and you can sweep the first two gyms then if you don't want them anymore (which I always do) use them as an hm slave.
Unown are the only Pokemon that I think only exist for lore reasons. Their point is like real letters, one by itself is powerless but incredibly powerful when arranged right. They're what Arceus used to create the universe.
I think what makes Unown more effective is simply being a Japanese child. With little to no knowledge of English. And therefore much lower likelihood of knowing what these things are actually supposed to look like at first. And that's where the creepiness comes in.
You know I think the Wally creepypasta is somewhat similar to Hop's journey as you can really see hum struggle to come to terms that battling isn't for him, he's not his brother Meanwhile Wally had you to thank for getting started on his journey but the three times you battle him, you just crush him
@@Husbandofelliot And that's fine! But it's part of his story, I like to think he still battles but he isn't thinking of becoming the champion as badly
Pft Hop has his purple haired twat of a brother to help him. Wally doesn’t have anyone and I’m more inclined to feel bad for him than Hop. Sickly kid who just wanted one victory vs dumbass little brother who seems to be madly in love with his brother based on how much hero worshipping he’s done towards Leon
Personally for me, my fav pokepasta always was “bad egg manaphy”, as it’s the most realistic out of everything else that I’ve read and it’s really creepy too.
For me it got ruined fast because I quickly recognized all it did was replace Missingno's sprite with an edit of Manaphy's. Then the "mess of pixels" at the end is really just Missingno, the "Pokemon" you'd throw in battle if you had no pokemons in your party.
Honestly, Drought has a special place in my heart. Something about the unnerving music of the Drought theme while Hoenn slowly but gradually burns to ashes gets me
Man, Drought fucked with me BAD when I was younger. And it's not like I was a kid who didn't know better, but something about that one in particular just struck the right chord
My absolute favourite is the 2020 rewrite of Prevention of Evolution. EEeEE is a much more likeable character compared to the original, and it feels more realistic overall
This was a good watch, its been a long time since I've been into Pokemon Creeypastas. There's one I hold very dear to my heart, though I don't remember what it was called. It was about someone playing Pokemon Yellow and being very attached to their Pikachu which they traded between gens 1 and 2 from time to time and Pikachu was eventually given a thunderstone and evolved into Raichu when a friend borrowed the game, but the person still cared for his Raichu all the same. Though the Yellow cartridge it was on was eventually broken on accident when something happened in the person's personal life. One day while playing either Black 2 or White 2 the Raichu returned, injured and bloodied, the characters in the game all in shock and horror of what the person did to his Raichu. To my memory, it ended happily despite everything. If anyone is able to find it, it would mean a lot to me. I would have explained it better if I could have, but I don't remember all the details.
Lost Silver was always one of my favorites, because there's no need for a screamer or something just to get you jump out of your seat, but also the suspense in the game, the "not knowing what's going on" even tho the game tells us a story of how gold, after everything he has done, still nobody will remember him, the fear that almost everyone has, of being forgotten sand whatever you do in life in the end won't matter at all is there, and of course the fan game made some uploads to play different endings, one being the normal one of the actual creepypasta, another one being where this time, the unonws tell you "why are you running boy?" meaning Gold's Soul is trying to run from it's fate of being forgotten, and the game starts again, but this time if you play the normal way after those events, the grave this time has gold's name, and of course there's another 3rd update but i don't know what is about, because i didn't see the gameplay or i didn't found the version to play it myself
The sister is so lucky to have Pokemon Yellow version with normal pikachu displaying on her screen. Otherwise, she would end up insane like her brother.
Man, I just remembered the Whole Again creepypasta. I have always loved Kyerum and the fact that Kyerum was actually a predator and ate humans and Pokémon was so cool to me, so seeing the Kyerum creepypasta made me happy. And the way the creepypasta went was so cool, adding more emotion to Kyerum as well, it’s so cool to me bruh
I love pokepastas! I love hypno's lullaby but my problem with it is that people are always like "Hypno, isn't that the pokemon that kidnaps children!?" despite it only being an isolated incident. "It is said Hypno kidnapped a child ONCE." Really sad Hypnos are getting discriminated because of this 😔
I mean the Pokédex entry that mentions the kidnapping is in FR/LG, and in that game we see a hypno try to kidnap another kid, so they’ve done it at least twice, maybe more
This video was really fascinating to me, as most of my experience with these PokePastas come from the Friday Night Funkin' Lullaby mod. Meaning that I was able to learn where most of these stories came from, while also experiencing a few new ones for the first time, such as Whole Again and Glitchlett. It was a pretty neat video, and definitely makes me want to look into some of those other Creepypastas that weren't covered here that appeared in that mod, such as Hell Bell or DISABLED.
I'm wondering what would happen to the protag in "Snow on Mt. Silver" if they fought Red in HGSS. How would they react when they discovered the nightmare became real, and how while in the cold *all of their pokemon would be hurt by it via Hail*
I remember most of these creepypastas, i was like 8 or 10, and i still remember the stories like i saw it for the first time yesterday. Such nostalgia seeing some of these again, and a lot of new ones that are just as interesting as the ones i grew up with. My new favorite is Strangled red. I can't believe i've never seen this story before (as i can remember), i didn't know the story, but when i saw it on a video abt Hypno's Lullaby mod, i felt like i've missed a rlly good story, that i would've never forget like the other ones i still remember to this day. I rlly enjoyed the video! So nostalgic and well explained video ♡
My favorite pokepasta is Tommy Boy, the story of a shiny Trapinch, now Flygon, that the protagonist's little sister finds and grows attached to. It then grows strange as the Pokémon acts unlike it's coded, despite having his OT and him presumably having all the badges regardless, Tommy Boy refused to listen when the protag played and his sister would tell him that Tommy Boy only listens to her because she's his mama. Her life basically gets consumed by spending time with Tommy Boy on the protag's emerald game. Eventually, the protag gets fed up and releases Tommy Boy, to much shagrin due to it being a shiny. His sis was mad at him for a while, but eventually returned to her normal, pre-Tommy Boy self. Later his sis and him get HGSS and his sis acts strange again, low and behold, Tommy Boy came back somehow. She found him in the safari zone. (it's been a while so I'm a bit fuzzy on details) but he gets pushed to drastic action, trying to release Tommy Boy again, but when that doesn't work, he hacked her game to pieces with scissors. I don't think she recovered after that, and Tommy Boy also appeared in the protag's game, informing him that he can't get rid of him. I spent a long time trying to get Tommy Boy for myself, including a shiny hunt in Pokémon X which yielded... a female Trapinch. But! Then the Trapinch community day in Pokémon GO finally united me with the demonic Flygon. He tags along to the newest games he's allowed in now.
Tommy Boy was one of my favorite Pokemon creepypastas as well! The protagonist was also a girl though, you mistook that detail. Honestly my problem with Tommy Boy is that it had a really cool premise of a Pokemon that wasn't necessarily evil (like killing all your pokemon and then you in real life), it was mostly playing off the idea of an older sister's concern for her younger sister and the idea of becoming obsessed with some fictional entity (which might not be fictional after all, making it more disturbing). Except then the story sucked at the end because it turned into some generic "haha look it's me, Satan, I was Tommy Boy all along, now I'm possessing your sister and going to kill you and myself" that was such a cop out
@@destinygalearies7382 honestly the whole obsession and tommy boy acting out possibly being able to be played off as all in le head for the author was an interesting angle I never thought of.
I honestly don't understand why every pokepasta protaganist released their Pokémon. They could just let them chill in the box with all the other Pokemon. Beside, imagine how cool it is to have Pokémon that act like they are not just some pixels lol.
@@hyperx2003 Maybe because of the negative influence they have on you, the real person. I feel that'd outweigh the novelty of "woah, this Pokémon is alive alive"
Creepypastas used to be the only thing i wanted to see back then, since the images had an extreme affinity in scaring me as a kid, some of these fears carried on as time passed and im still scared of two, i think thats why i am often desensitized (not fully) of generic horror, is it because it sucks or am i truly ignorant? Lmk gang
Lost Silver is easily one of my favorites. It's a dark and rough story but damn is it still important. The story basically tells you that death is inevitable and ever present in life. No matter your accomplishments, no matter what you manage to do or whom/what you manage to defeat. You can't defeat death. It's as inevitable as the sun rising and setting. Red and Gold had both accomplished feats that even to this day are remarkable and iconic to the series but even in spite of that death still found its way to them. What makes it so bad is Red and Gold were just boys. Children that had hardly even got to experience everything life had to offer. It hits hard but it's an important story that reminds us to live each day as though it were our last. Possibly one of the most important life lessons you could possibly learn. Mt. Silver is a solid permanent 2nd place just because of how dark it is. And it's not even like it has anything haunted or cursed in it. It's just the part of Gold/Silver where you travel to Mt Silver to face Red only with IRL mechanics taking place. LMAO Realistically the pokemon aren't equipped to handle the damn near sub zero temperatures and harsh environment a mountain of Silver's size. Eventually the pokemon and trainers just suffer frost bite and die. And what's really wild is that this story accurately portrays what untreated frost bite can do to the body. You just freeze up and fall to pieces like you're made of glass. I love the others too but these 2 stick out the most to me for just how dark and yet true they are to life in both morality and logic. While Lost Silver is dark it's a very beautiful message to encourage you to be thankful for the life you're given and who knows how long you may have it but appreciate it and go forth living your best life. Mt. Silver is just dark metal and badass seing how everyone slowly perishes to the cold. Pokemon creepypastas just had the most creative minds working on them and it shows.
Easter Egg: Snow On Mt. Silver is really good. It really deserves a better recreation than the one that exists. It's a dour experience, but it kills it for me in the details, like the KO'd Pokéballs having an ms paint X drawn over them. And the literal static covering the screen when the snow was described as "almost looks like static". I hope someone out there with the skills to make a version that you could definitely pass off as the real ROM shares my anguish and makes it happen. Edit: See Reidd Maxwell's recreation of Easter Egg: Snow On Mount Silver. My prayers have been answered.
Very informative, and I agree with this list! These types of stories mentioned deter away from the typical “haunted” game. They are pretty good at being emotional stories, and I appreciate that some are not so much creepy, but more realistic and exploring other emotions outside of fear. So much better than a copy and paste story. This list really brought out the creative side of the creepypasta fandom. Certainly deserving of the (currently) 40k views on your part! :D
I must admit the only reason why i know most of the creepypastas in here is because of hypno's lullaby lol. Anyway, banger video and happy halloween hyper!
I only knew of Lost Silver, Snow on Mt Silver and Hypno's lullaby and the demonic Jigglypuff image back then. But when Banbuds and Fnf happend I was introduced to more cool stuff.
If YourLocalPleb likes stories involving the concept of a complete Kyurem, might I recommend the creepypasta "Black Frost"? (Yes, that's the name. Yes, it's totally understandable if at first glance it doesn't sound like it'd be a Pokemon pasta.)
My top three Pokémon Creepypastas have to be Lost Silver, Glitchy Red and Snow on Mount Silver. I haven't sat down to listen to them in a while, but even years later, these three still stick out the most to me. Lost Silver taught me to read unown, Glitchy Red's tragic antagonist wrenches my heart knowing he's been replaced and Snow on Mount Silver, I don't think anyone will truly forget the moment Red sends out his Pikachu last.
@@ASlapperGuy it is about the main character not evolving his eevee in the right areas like evolving eevee into Sylvion in a snowy area and it runs into Ice and he tries to evolve it again and again and the eevee evolves into a bloody abomination of all the eeveelutions and it gets gorier and kills the protagonist at the end of the story.
You can use Curse on re-battle trainers, but in the last battle, where they finally die. The White Hand is based on the dialogue from the original game referenced in Pokémon Origins: Girl: Do you believe in Ghosts? Red (Yes or No Prompt): No. Girl: Yeah, me neither, that white hand on your shoulder... it isn't real.
Honestly I'm frustrated that the guy didn't let Wally's ghost win. They really should have lost that fight. Honestly I'm glad that they expanded on Wally in ORAS. It was what made me go back to the first route and get a Ralts so that I could get Mega Gallade. Mega Gallade is my 2nd favorite Mega because of that fact(first is Lucario, and 3rd is Sceptile if you were wondering).
In the story, his competitive side is what told him to beat Wally. Though even with that excuse, I still see it as ridiculous. It just made the protagonist more unlikeable and could have a potential for a good Alternate ending if you were to let Wally win.
See, I don't see it that way at all. If he can only win because the protag lets him win, then he didn't actually win. He just earned the protag's pity. It's meaningless and hollow. The protag knows he could beat him, but chose not to, in that case and that's even worse than beating him again. I victory you didn't earn is no victory at all. I see that story more as a cautionary tale about finding and acknowledging your own limitations and then trying to find peace with that. Wally set a goal that was too difficult for him to reach, then blames the protag for not being able to meet his goal. It doesn't work that way. The protag doesn't owe him an easy victory. If he wants to win, he needs to earn it. If he can't earn it on his own, then it's up to him to come to terms with the realization that he won't ever be as good as them and that's okay. Being the best of the best is a hard goal to reach and no one stays top dog forever. The protag is better than him at battling and that should be fine. But it's not. Wally is a slave to an impossible desire and doesn't know how to let that go. None of that is the protag's fault, though. They don't owe Wally anything.
The "Snow on Mt. Silver" sprites were always terrifying to me, and the SOUNDS. Oh god the SOUNDS. That was no doubt the thing that makes it my favorite.
“Whole Again” is my favorite Pokémon creepypasta. Maybe it’s because it’s one of the few Pokémon creepypastas that doesn’t focus on Gen 1 or Gen 2, like a vast majority of Pokémon creepypastas are.
Imagine how funny it'd be if in the snow on mount silver story Moltres was in Gold's party and was able to melt all the snow on the mountain. Gold climbs up and meets Red and he's like "wait a minute, this ain't the script"
Ooh, I just got an idea listening to Lost Silver! When I get rid of my old Pokemon games, I'll prank whoever gets them next by putting some Unown in my party to spell out someone cryptic.
I could never lose to Wally on purpose, doing so out of pity would just be an insult, and I respect him too much to do that. He deserves nothing but my best
Lost Silver, Creepy Black, Lavender Town Syndrome, Hypno's Lullaby and Buried Alive are so iconic imo. There was a rom hack I came across about eight years ago where this one person fought this demonic dude in Lavender Town who had some very unnerving Pokemon.
I'm a little late to this but dang man is this such a good and very well made 10 pokemon creepypasta list my dude, While also going a bit indepth into why each entry is the best in your opinion, and it also introduced me to a couple pokemon creepypastas I never heard of like "whole again" along with a few others.
Strangled Red is basically just Pet Sematary. One of the NPCs even gives the iconic "sometimes, dead is better" quote when Steven goes to resurrect Miki with Missingno!
Don’t know if I’m late or not, but Strangled Red is my favorite! I love Steven’s design and his story, either than that, I’m actually making my own Pokepasta!
2:40 I remember a shorts youtuber mentioning something along the lines as an idea for like a DnD campaign for a weapon that erases enemies but transports them to the final battle
Talking about Creepypastas that start another ones, i remember a spanish re-take on that one creepypasta if the wigglytuff that couldn't sing.. the end was honestly pretty because the trainer trades the pokemon and receives a Cyndaquil with this summary Hurry Lv 5 Captured in: Tin tower Shy nature
My personal favorite pokepasta is The Absol Reaper It plays into Absol's Pokedex entry about it being blamed for the disasters it tries to warn people of and i kinda love it for that. It's basically in the POV of a kid in the pokemon universe and goes over how every time something horrible happens to him throughout his life the same Absol appears. First his father died on a business trip, then his brother died while training his Jolteon, then his Volpix that was gifted to him by his late father, then his mother, and finally at the end of the story when he was going to go after it and kill it.
11:11 I agree with whoever said that. Not only can Grass do super effective damage against Rock and Water, the favorite elements of Brock and Misty respectively, Bulbasaur takes the shortest time to fully evolve, only on level 32.
imagine your just a 9 year old kid and you have 5 unowns and one cyndaquil and out of nowhere your limbs start falling off your body, your eyes start bleeding, you die, get sent to lavender town, you somehow get a shiny celebi which only knows perish song, and then your just left there while the player erases the save file you life inside which erases you and everyone you (used to) know from existence. Such a terrible fate. WAIT I JUST REALIZED THE CELEBI FROM LOST SILVER IS THE SAME ONE IN MOUNT SILVER
@Harvey the Program (read channel desc) well celebi can travel across dimensions so i think that maybe both are alternate universes where gold never died and he went to mount silver instead
i used to confused lost silver and snow on mt. silver all the time as a kid. i mean: both are about pokemon silver, both feature gold losing limbs, both have a mutilated version of celebi, both have a battle against red and both have an odd pikachu. while both pastas go in very different directions, lost silver going for a more subtle and realistic approach, while snow goes in a more shocking and gory direction, there are some really strong similarities. don’t know if one pasta was inspired by the other or if these are just really weird coincidences.
Its about how one day you die and all your accomplishments, achievements and impact on life will eventually be forgotten, and you'll be just anither grave
Well, thanks for making me cherish Wally even more (and making me need to draw wholesome fanart to remind me that this is a family-friendly franchise where the good don't have to die young).
Hmm this happened to be uploaded a few days before Re: Lost Silver released. I’d say this is the definitive version of the game for how much more of the creepypasta it adds and how much more polished it is. All of the secret paths and such are canon to the creepypasta and add some context for why some things are the way they are. So I’d honestly recommend exploring the game for those secret paths instead of doing the main one each time. It even has a remake of Snow on Mount Silver built into the game as an Easter egg.
I'll actually be remaking some of these Creepypastas in game form in a new game engine releasing called MonTamer Maker but with creatures that are similar to Pokémon but different. I'm doing this to avoid DMCA notices so I can release as many Creepypasta games as I want without copyright issues.
I've seen some of your videos about the Pokemon Games with the gameplay of Pokemon Creepypastas like Blue's Tears and Buried Alive, and they looked really cool! Doing stuff like that on a new engine sounds awesome, and I'd like to see that happen with some of the stories! Maybe in regards to Gen 1, maybe Pokemon Fuchsia or Pokemon: Strangled Red (Though some may take a while, but they still sound interesting in thought.)
Fun fact, the other day at a video game store i actually did see a pokemon red cartridge with a cut in the sticker across charizard's neck. I wonder whether it was a coincidence or if the previous owner intentionally damaged it to reference strangled red
haven’t watched the video yet but i’m wondering if that weird jigglypuff crying blood is on this list. is it even a creepypasta? that thing always scared me
My Favorites are "I Won't Leave You" and "And Hell Will Follow Me". (I am aware it's mostly a fanfic continuation) These connected stories take an alternate route to Abandoned Lonliness's story focusing on Lonliness's relationship with a sylveon named Tyrin. This creepypasta is more tragic and even a little wholesome than scary (but it still is quite scary). And it really gives personality to an existing creepypasta compared to just scary gameplay where the focus was honestly more on the girl trainer than Lonliness himself. Tyrin accepting this cursed eevee to later gaining their friendship and tragically losing her sacrificing himself in the secord story by taking the curse of lonliness corrupting his own mind and behavior and learning to adapt to the curse before it destroys him completely.
One of the pokémon creepypasta that gave me the most chills was about a cute Victini being kinda sadistic and yandere 😂 i still love it to this day, as much as a lot of other creepypastas about pokémon
god now i want to play creepy black. the concept of vanishing a pokemon from existence with 1 move sounds awesome and that's a pretty interesting ending.
Pokemon Strangled Red hit where it hurts. I lost my cat Luna in a horrible accident and i suffered depression for 2 months. I can imagine it felt the same, but also worse for Steven.
It love the ending of snow on mt silver because it was somewhat a sweet and heart warming ending where pikachu was back to normal. Also about the fushia creepypasta. I do sometimes crate my own storys in games like minecraft sims and rdr2 like when i made arthur a pirate and then john went back to his viking roots and took out his viking outfit.
When you mentioned that some could benefit from a sequel/alt-ending... you're not wrong. •Cursed Black: it was stated that Ghost couldn't be PC'd or released, but didn't state about trading. Also what about the several glitches in Gen 1? Pokemon fusion with Q (make Ghost unable to use curse and maybe PC-able), Mew Glitch to run into another Ghost and kill yours. Also some retellings state that Legendaries are immuned to curse; maybe catch all of them and have a team to defend yourself? •Strangled Red: What if you traded/boxed Miki before the event took place, or caught another Charizard, or even not evolved miki to get an atachment. •Wally: what if you did lose the battle, could you even do so? And what actually triggered the event? (Couldn't be time due to the eternal battery bot having that long of a life... no pun intended) •Fuchia: what was on that actual cartridge •Pinwheel Village: what was in the egg, and was it the same fire that had Keldeo join the Musketeer Trio... wait a minute... what actually caused that fire? •Link to the Past bootleg: (i know, it's not pokemon, but...) what the hell did Link do? •Easter Egg - Snow on Mt. Silver: was the easter egg a warning of what was to come? (A huge parallel there with the thick snow at the end); and what about with HGSS where there IS snow on Mt. Silver (PTSD?). Also with last year with the whole 'anti-piracy' craze, could the easter egg have been an anti-piracy measure?... also, since they were already cheating, cheat some more and walk-through-walls to walk around and bipass the "can't go back" trigger
Man oh man.....yeah Easter Egg Snow on Mt. Silver HAS to be one of my favorites. I think one of the biggest reasons why is because Pidgeot - my all time favorite mon - is seen dead and cold and lifeless. Now that may sound odd, yes, but like it's that connection of feeling that fear the protagonist goes though. I mean if I played a game like that where my favorites were "dying" in game, I'd be so sad. :c My beloved Pidgeot that I've had since Fire Red in 2004 (Sweet Peach), my Decidueye I had since Moon in 2016 (Snowy), my Galarian Articuno that I caught when the SWSH DLC came out (Ushiro) and other birdie mons that I love in that state would utterly crush me. And in Sweet Peach's case, she is named after a parakeet I owned in childhood. Sweet Peach has since passed in 2010, and I've made it a "tradition" to honor my birdie companion by naming every female Pidgey after her in my journeys. Since Pokemon is seen as a comfort to so many people, and the bonds they share with their favorites is powerful, it would make someone upset and not want to pick the games back up again. It's kinda got a sense of reality in it as those that use the games as comfort and relaxation would be disturbed by the horror elements that suddenly get tossed into a game like that. As you usually don't expect horror in Pokemon games - minus the hidden text from the dex and some of the sadder side stories like the Gen 5 one with the little girl dying to Darkrai. I am not sure if I conveyed that well in my text but some stories hit harder than others because of the different connections and how it can sorta make us relate to them. That's what makes the stories more powerful.
Gen 1/2 Pokemon creepypastas are honestly my favorite, because their archaic nature and graphics really lends to their atmosphere and general spookiness. Buried Alive is such a cool and disturbing sprite, and the one where Red is actually a ghost on Mt. Silver is great with how snowy it is there.
Hipno's lullaby/poem Come little children, come with me Safe and happy, you will be Away from home, now let us run With Hypno, you'll have so much fun Oh, little children, please don't cry Hypno wouldn't hurt a fly Be free to frolic, be free to play Come with me to my cave to stay Oh, little children, please don't squirm Those ropes, I know, will hold you firm Now look at me, the pendant calls Back and forth your eyelids fall Oh, little children, you cannot leave For you your families grieve Minds unraveling at the seams Allowing me to haunt your dreams Do not wail and do not weep It is time for you to go to sleep Little children, you were not clever Now you will stay with me forever
Out of those, I think I probably liked 7th the most. I just love stories where people are "insane" in their minds, but you don't realize it. In a video game then I'm currently obsessed with, you actually play as an insane person, but you don't realize that they are insane, 'cause you experience everything from their perspective. Only later, after you got to change the character (and got the reveal of the big plot twist), you'll realize just how insane that character was. It was such an amazing story. (And, fun fact, I read in a wiki trivia, that their name actually comes from the word "madman" on ,,crazy person".) I've also come up with my own story (that I would love to write or draw - IF I HAD THE TALENT - ) about a girl who seems to have a pretty vivid and weird/dark imagination, but what seems to be her imagination and what you thought was reality would fuse more and more during the story, until you realize, that you don't know, what is/was real and what not anymore.
I've played pokemon since i was 10 (1998) now im in my 30s with kids. I have heard many rumours over the years regarding pokemon but i never got into the creepypasta side, although i am aware of some of them thanks to youtube and social media. Its genuinely good to see a compilation of what i have heard over the years summed up in a easy video. Congrats. You got a like and a sub :)
The first type of creepy black I heard said that ghost was a 4th starter and if you picked a normal starter nothing would happen exept the normal game.
Hi! First off, super glad to see a Pokepasta fan, I love the vid! Second off, I would like to draw your attention to a new Pokepasta wiki, run on Miraheze! Over there we're working on not only getting a lot of older Pastas up, but we're also working towards putting newer ones on there so they can be seen!! If you could check it out, everyone on there would really appreciate it :D!
I was impressed by Glitchy Red when I first read it. It didn't just feel like a story about a corrupted game, but also commentary on how people approach Gen 1 these days. Yes, they're broken and we love them for it, but what if the characters were aware of the game's flaws, and how the players treat them? It really gets you to think, especially since we don't normally see a silent protagonist like Red show any input.
The diglet one sounds similair to a glitch ive been doing. But theres a distorted clefairy cry and some other effects, before the self destruct sound plays, and then the champion song starts playing. The visual effects vary though.
Actually its a porygon cry, it sounds very sad, and like its dying. Also i think hitmonlees cry plays during the glitch. Its impossible to skip, but you can reset turning the game to normal. Going through with the glitch, well lets just say the game can turn weird. And dont get me started on the consequences.
Hypno’s pokédex entry and Hypno’s Lullaby have given Hypno a reputation as a creepy pokémon, but I think they’re really cute. Still, Creepypasta was a staple of my childhood, so whenever I train a Hypno in any Pokémon game, I always name it “Lullaby”.
12:39 "And he would obtain..." Ensue creepy silence because my earphones decided to just up and disconnect. What an amazing timing tho! I really got nervous XD
The Wally story is one of the reasons I wish they gave me the option to tell Hopp how proud I was of him when he managed to give me a really hard time. Yeah he is pretty much just pixels and programming but I was damn proud of him regardless
Hopefully Scarlet and Violet Will give me either A rival that chooses a starter that has a type advantage like May in pokemon Omega Ruby, Or Two Rivals like Bianca and Cheren In Pokemon Black and White. PLEASE BE TWO RIVALS!
I kid you not, as watching the last part, my poke balls on my wall fell down. My heart literally dropped 😰 ( why did I decide to watch this at night lol)
I think the mountain being longer (and covered in snow) adds to the feeling (that, and as a kid, I didn't realize that they'd expanded it in that)
Loved it by the way. I was just pissed last time I saw it because of the jump scare.
Hey Question do you know where i can Write and Post/Submit a creepypasta?
If it was me get the pokemon black version to get the thing yes to the legendary Pokemon to get in sword and shield and see how cool be
tbh I always like the creepypastas that felt more "realistic", stuff that doesnt contain supernatural elements and instead was just someone detailing a creepy game they found.
You should check out 7/25/2005 its one of my favorite lost episode creepypastas, its a unique take on a hijacking creepypasta.
Lost silver, strangled red, glitchy red, and "cursed black" i think are the best examples
Ah, creepy black is in the video alr XD
Like Jeff the killer he's basically just a psychopath.
Unfortunately "realistic" when it comes to creepypasta means a different thing (sonic exe with hyper realistic blood)
Wait I’ve seen that in the fnf Hypnos lullaby mod
@@That_Chatty A reference to the og creepypasta. Just some minor changes
In the fnf mod, he said, “They took everything from. My VOICE, my FREEDOM, my LEGACY… And they replaced me with some… blue haired kid.”
Stevens descending madness over the loss of his beloved charizard
Mike's sorrow, and horror, knowing *he's* responsible.
Steven murdering the player and their pokemon
And worst of all
*starting Lost Silver*
Wait, what does that have to do with Lost Silver?
@@ferbancos4215 at the very end of "Doors Open", there's a description, stating your in a cave, alone, with only 5 unown and a very damaged cyndaquil
@Theodore Doucet the story doesn't say.
@@theodoredoucet4386 LMFAO
Uhh does that mean Lost Silver is kinda like a sequel to Strangled Red?
Strangled Red has always been my favourite pokepasta. I always felt bad for Steven when he lost Miki. I also thought that this creepypasta was quite well-written for a creepypasta back then
in a way the original felt like it was made to spite other pokepastas by doing it better, i mean hell it even has some 4th wall breaking moments ackmoledging how cliche it sounds which adds more depth to the story in a way. has to be my favorite along with Easter Egg Snow on Mt. Silver for both the stories and the pov characters sharing it
Indeed. it was very intresting to me.
Same here, still my favourite pokepasta for sure. It was also one of the first creepypastas i've read.
Sure, nowadays, after reading many better creepypastas, it seems pretty medicore to me, but it still has an important place in my heart.
I liked it too, but a part of me always wished there was an alternate ending where maybe Daisy helps him with his grief over Miki's death and they visit her grave and find an egg there meaning Miki might live on
Didn’t really understand this story though
11:10 That quiet "Bulbasaur btw" is so true tho, level them up until they get vine whip and you can sweep the first two gyms then if you don't want them anymore (which I always do) use them as an hm slave.
Yessss
I also used Bulbasaur. Its an underrated pokemon
Unown are the only Pokemon that I think only exist for lore reasons. Their point is like real letters, one by itself is powerless but incredibly powerful when arranged right. They're what Arceus used to create the universe.
Literally the Pokémon lore from the movie where entei steals a girl, I think it literally was called secret of the unown.
I think what makes Unown more effective is simply being a Japanese child. With little to no knowledge of English. And therefore much lower likelihood of knowing what these things are actually supposed to look like at first. And that's where the creepiness comes in.
You know
I think the Wally creepypasta is somewhat similar to Hop's journey as you can really see hum struggle to come to terms that battling isn't for him, he's not his brother
Meanwhile Wally had you to thank for getting started on his journey but the three times you battle him, you just crush him
I’ll be honest, when the game would let me I’d intentionally let Hop win when I could-
Now this, this does not spark joy. I always feel rlly bad when I beat Hop cause he’s such a sweetheart ☹️ (pokemon sw&sh is my comfort game too-)
@@Husbandofelliot
And that's fine!
But it's part of his story, I like to think he still battles but he isn't thinking of becoming the champion as badly
Pft Hop has his purple haired twat of a brother to help him. Wally doesn’t have anyone and I’m more inclined to feel bad for him than Hop. Sickly kid who just wanted one victory vs dumbass little brother who seems to be madly in love with his brother based on how much hero worshipping he’s done towards Leon
i loved when i got to do the double battle with hop against leon and raihan.
Personally for me, my fav pokepasta always was “bad egg manaphy”, as it’s the most realistic out of everything else that I’ve read and it’s really creepy too.
I think that's the first pokepasta I ever heard. I can't remember if it was about manaphy, but it definitely was about an egg.
HELL YES EEeEE I LOVE THAT ONE
EEeEE has always been one of my favorites honestly

I would have explained it better if I could have, but I don't remember all the details.
i think that one is called jessica? it's one of my favorites as well
@@onlineskitty That was it! Thank you, I've been trying to find it for a while now.
Well this sounds incredible wholesome
Ah, yes, Jessica, one of the saddest pokepastas out there. Still, it's also one of my favorite stories.
"It is said Hypno kidnapped a child ONCE." Really sad Hypnos are getting discriminated because of this 😔
I mean the Pokédex entry that mentions the kidnapping is in FR/LG, and in that game we see a hypno try to kidnap another kid, so they’ve done it at least twice, maybe more
One name:
Flareon.

I think they forgot other few pokemon that do the kidnapped

This video was really fascinating to me, as most of my experience with these PokePastas come from the Friday Night Funkin' Lullaby mod. Meaning that I was able to learn where most of these stories came from, while also experiencing a few new ones for the first time, such as Whole Again and Glitchlett.
It was a pretty neat video, and definitely makes me want to look into some of those other Creepypastas that weren't covered here that appeared in that mod, such as Hell Bell or DISABLED.
Yeah totally. I think one called glitched red was in the mod too
I'm wondering what would happen to the protag in "Snow on Mt.
So this lil guy can only go into games with permission? And uh, what can he do?
I feel that'd outweigh the novelty of "woah, this Pokémon is alive alive"

ahh pokemon creepypastas, being a kid in the late 2000s/early 2010s was so cool
4:19 this is a common misconception. He actually says:" finally, raw meat"

I loved the "Let Me Evolve"Creepypasta and it's one of my all time favorites
What’s it about?
@@ASlapperGuy it is about the main character not evolving his eevee in the right areas like evolving eevee into Sylvion in a snowy area and it runs into Ice and he tries to evolve it again and again and the eevee evolves into a bloody abomination of all the eeveelutions and it gets gorier and kills the protagonist at the end of the story.
You can use Curse on re-battle trainers, but in the last battle, where they finally die.
The White Hand is based on the dialogue from the original game referenced in Pokémon Origins:
Girl: Do you believe in Ghosts?

That’s what I was thinking.
About the buried alive model, I think they used the gen 2 male swimmer as a base, at least for the arms
I could never lose to Wally on purpose, doing so out of pity would just be an insult, and I respect him too much to do that. He deserves nothing but my best
Agreed
Lost Silver, Creepy Black, Lavender Town Syndrome, Hypno's Lullaby and Buried Alive are so iconic imo. There was a rom hack I came across about eight years ago where this one person fought this demonic dude in Lavender Town who had some very unnerving Pokemon.

First his father died on a business trip, then his brother died while training his Jolteon, then his Volpix that was gifted to him by his late father, then his mother, and finally at the end of the story when he was going to go after it and kill it.
so
11:11 I agree with whoever said that. Not only can Grass do super effective damage against Rock and Water, the favorite elements of Brock and Misty respectively, Bulbasaur takes the shortest time to fully evolve, only on level 32.
"I love this story and it will always hold a special place in my heart."
"Number 4-"
imagine your just a 9 year old kid and you have 5 unowns and one cyndaquil and out of nowhere your limbs start falling off your body, your eyes start bleeding, you die, get sent to lavender town, you somehow get a shiny celebi which only knows perish song, and then your just left there while the player erases the save file you life inside which erases you and everyone you (used to) know from existence.
Lost Silver has a touching story. Could do without the blood and lost limbs.
Its about how one day you die and all your accomplishments, achievements and impact on life will eventually be forgotten, and you'll be just anither grave
Strangled Red’s design was REALLY ahead of his time.
Well, thanks for making me cherish Wally even more (and making me need to draw wholesome fanart to remind me that this is a family-friendly franchise where the good don't have to die young).
the Hypno’s Lullaby fnf mod helped me learn to read Unown a little bit lol
Hmm this happened to be uploaded a few days before Re: Lost Silver released.
I’d say this is the definitive version of the game for how much more of the creepypasta it adds and how much more polished it is. All of the secret paths and such are canon to the creepypasta and add some context for why some things are the way they are.
So I’d honestly recommend exploring the game for those secret paths instead of doing the main one each time.
It even has a remake of Snow on Mount Silver built into the game as an Easter egg.
where can that be downloaded, that sounds fun to play!
@@theconfuzzleddoge Look up Re: Lost Silver. It’s by Reidd Maxwell, who also created the original lost silver fangame.
I'll actually be remaking some of these Creepypastas in game form in a new game engine releasing called MonTamer Maker but with creatures that are similar to Pokémon but different. I'm doing this to avoid DMCA notices so I can release as many Creepypasta games as I want without copyright issues.

Fun fact, the other day at a video game store i actually did see a pokemon red cartridge with a cut in the sticker across charizard's neck. I wonder whether it was a coincidence or if the previous owner intentionally damaged it to reference strangled red
No joke, I would've bought it out of curiosity.
@@YourLocalPleb i would've but it was $50, and i was broke and just there to look. i took a picture of it though
would u be okay with showing it in a community post??
great video, mate! i'd forgotten about a few of these like glitchlett LOL. love it, good stuff! snow on mt silver is my favorite, too.
haven’t watched the video yet but i’m wondering if that weird jigglypuff crying blood is on this list. is it even a creepypasta? that thing always scared me
It’s just an iconic image like that weird smile with glowing white eyes, red teeth
Imagine going to bed, waking up late at night and seeing that image on your tv or pc.
Ghost in creepy black: hippity hoppity, your life’s my property.
Crazy how I’m watching this and here it’s literally almost Halloween or even past it
I love the "DISABLED" creepypasta. Its a good read
I love how in the Lost Silver creepypasta, Hurry dying suggest you had your time and you took it for granted.
Notice on the first one he says " *Unfortunately* you can't curse other people that you have to fight later like your rival"
Pokemon Strangled Red hit where it hurts. I lost my cat Luna in a horrible accident and i suffered depression for 2 months. I can imagine it felt the same, but also worse for Steven.
This video is fantastically made! Well done, I'm def subscribing!
(Couldn't be time due to the eternal battery bot having that long of a life... no pun intended)
•Fuchia: what was on that actual cartridge
•Pinwheel Village: what was in the egg, and was it the same fire that had Keldeo join the Musketeer Trio... wait a minute... what actually caused that fire?
My favorite is strangled red, my brain was like “if it isn’t on here idk what is” tbh

"They had an argument about which was better; Charmander or Squirtle"
(in the distance) It's Bulbasaur btw!
Honestly same 😂
Hipno's lullaby/poem
Come little children, come with me Safe and happy, you will be Away from home, now let us run With Hypno, you'll have so much fun
Oh, little children, please don't cry Hypno wouldn't hurt a fly Be free to frolic, be free to play Come with me to my cave to stay
Oh, little children, please don't squirm Those ropes, I know, will hold you firm Now look at me, the pendant calls Back and forth your eyelids fall
Oh, little children, you cannot leave For you your families grieve Minds unraveling at the seams Allowing me to haunt your dreams
Do not wail and do not weep It is time for you to go to sleep Little children, you were not clever Now you will stay with me forever
bro how do you not have more subscribers?
glitchlett reminded me of this: blastois is fainted would you like to use surf anyway? *surfs on the blastoises body*
Amazing video keep up the amazing work and have a happy Halloween ❤
YourLocalPleb So I'm not the only one that loves pokemon fushia version and Whole again. It's awesome to know that I'm not alone.
I didn’t knew stories about animal with abilities would be THIS creepy
I feel like the one that creeped me out most was Hypnos lullaby because it’s based of the dex entry and the fact kidnapping is a real thing
If I had a choice saying “do you want Original Kyurem to your team?“ I would pick yes without a second thought
Original dragon !?!?
Out of those, I think I probably liked 7th the most. I just love stories where people are "insane" in their minds, but you don't realize it.
In a video game then I'm currently obsessed with, you actually play as an insane person, but you don't realize that they are insane, 'cause you experience everything from their perspective. Only later, after you got to change the character (and got the reveal of the big plot twist), you'll realize just how insane that character was. It was such an amazing story. (And, fun fact, I read in a wiki trivia, that their name actually comes from the word "madman" on ,,crazy person".)
I've also come up with my own story (that I would love to write or draw - IF I HAD THE TALENT - ) about a girl who seems to have a pretty vivid and weird/dark imagination, but what seems to be her imagination and what you thought was reality would fuse more and more during the story, until you realize, that you don't know, what is/was real and what not anymore.
What game boss?
I think the Hypno's Lullaby poem is creative and interesting, but it popularized the dislike of Hypno solely because of rumors and speculations.
I mean, that Hypno trying to take away Lostelle didn't help either.
Weirdly coincidental that I just came across this video *during* October- and there's the rom hack I was looking for, thank you very much.
Small channel. Big video. Love this broski. 👌🏽
I love naming mine Jango, after Jango the Hypnotist from One Piece, or Beldam if it's female.

"And he would obtain..."
Ensue creepy silence because my earphones decided to just up and disconnect.
@@Matthew_Cashew oh but also the sweetness of Hopp who genuinely wants to be better and is so friendly and kind too!
This is so nostalgic it feels like the older Pokémon videos
I kid you not, as watching the last part, my poke balls on my wall fell down. My heart literally dropped 😰 ( why did I decide to watch this at night lol)
This is very interesting. Especially with some being in the more modern games like Whole Again.
Nice video man
