Watched your Clouds/Sky demo....I love doing these. One day when doing my "memory" paintings, I asked myself "What would happen if"......I took a blob of paint on my palette knife and then swiped it across the sky area. Oh what fun I had with that one! Again, thank you for sharing.
Always quality instruction. Thank you for sharing. I've built my first pochade box and I'm finally leaving the studio. I'm under no illusions but im going to keep it very simple and use what you have so kindly shared in so many videos. You are inspiring. TY
Great videos! Generously commented and structured for us that are working on getting to terms with composition, value, hue and chroma (still a little Chinese to me as they don't come automatically into my system) particularly when painting plein-air. You make the learning process seem less daunting. Thanks!!!

That is awesome that you are getting out there! The experience will be challenging but keep at it as it's the best teacher!
I never knew (nor have I read anywhere) about the white or light atmospheric perspective. That explains the flatness in my skies. Thank You 🙏❤️
So glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
Same here, never heard other artists mention this. It changes everything for me. Thank you so much!

Love this! Reminds me of one I did a few years back, much bigger scale though at 30x30 but the sky was so incredible I had to go big! 🙂

I noticed taped canvas or panels? Or oil paper?
What are you painting on?
At this point, I honestly can't recall. But I usually paint on pieces of oil-primed linen that I cut and tape onto a piece of masonite.
