First Aid Kit are Swedish and sisters, and EmmyLou Harris won the Polar Music Prize. Polar Music Prize is similar as Nobel Prize for music and was invented by the daughter of Stikkan Andersson who ’discovered’ ABBA and made them so famous. :)

Extremely talented First Aid Kit 😍😍😍 Every one of their songs is pure gold! Their covers are fantastic as well. See their tribute to Patti Smith, and the incredible Ted Gärdestad cover “Come give me love”, and much more!

You should do a deep dive on Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris. It's not really true country - Gram Parsons was one of the creators of the Americana genre. Emmylou and Gram were never lovers, but they loved each other deeply and sang together like angels. Gram died earfly of an overdose in Joshua Tree in California in a time when so many great talents were lost to self-medication.

Hi Paul. You should react to one of Chris Kläfford's (pronounced Clefford) kitchen sessions. He was the very first audition in Swedish Idol in 2017, and then proceeded to win the entire thing. He has captured the hearts of many in Sweden with his soulful and powerful voice. He has a treasure trove of music on his channel too. You will not regret listening to him because he's absolutely amazing.

Their genre is not country, it's indie/alternative or even folk music.
They are Swedish sisters from Stockholm and we are all taught British English. They've had a lot of success in the US and mainly toured there and that's probably ett their accent is American now.
Thank you for another great reaction video🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

British English specifically is not taught to everyone. I was mostly taught an American accent, but it usually depended on the teacher, and some would teach both accents.

@@Mortac Swedish are taught the British English and spelling. That said - some might have had a teacher with an American accent but that's a different story.

@@theresenydahl9531 I had an English teacher who insisted that "year" was pronounced "yawh", and another who asked the class "hävv jo siin dö movi tö'minäjtår?" so I would say it varies from case to case.

@@dsludge8217 Funny, I have some equally entertaining stories from my Italian teacher at the time 😀
I've heard that nowadays some have teachers with American accents at upper secondary school/high school but fact remains, British spelling is the only approved and all definitions in the Skolverket study plans is in British English. It could be a generational factor here and you are right, things have changed, I'm older and you are probably younger so you have probably experienced it more than I have🌞

@@theresenydahl9531 It's been a long time since Swedes were taught (only) British English. Any variety is fine and all national testing uses a variety of accents. I have taught high school in Sweden for the past 20 years and worked on new curricula from Skolverket (the Board of Education) . British spelling is not the only approved variety in schools.

Listen to these extremely musical girls.
MonaLisa Twins sing and play Bech Boys' "God Only Knows".
They are from Austria but live in the UK.
I promise you, you will be impressed !!
