    That looks like a very thorough rebuild. The head install demo is a little, late for me, but thanks. It's a neat video.

    Hello again. Wondering if you had considered doing the "Quake" mod to the head? For those unfamiliar with it, this involves using inserts that have the built-in washers. The idea is that the sleeved washer prevents the head from collapsing around the studs.

      Yes I looked into that mod unfortunately didn’t get around to it I would definitely recommend doing it wish I would have just to be on the safe side

    Nice job! How is the engine holding up now? I'm assuming you're driving the car by now.

    Hey I'm getting ready to do the headgasket for my 7mgte as well! Is this the title of the one you got? "Cometic MLS Multi Layered Steel 7MGE 7MGTE 86.5-92 Supra 89-92 Cressida"

      Hey sorry I missed your question. I went with the titan MLS headgasket. But the cometic is good and also HKS. What did you end up getting?

    Hell yeah looks mint as, was the block and / or head machined at a shop or did you do it yourself?

    I’ll be doing this next summer if I don’t get a round to it this year, do you think the arp studs are a better option than just the arp bolts?

    trying to rebuild my head currently, but the knuts don't fit in my head onto the stud. Any idea how to fix this?

    • @josephmaldonado2521

      Are you using the same arp studs and nuts I used?

    • @josephmaldonado2521
      @josephmaldonado2521  8 месяцев назад

      Usually the washers are the issue once the head is already installed onto the arp studs. So I place the washers in the head and carefully with some help line everything up and slide the head down onto the studs.

      @@josephmaldonado2521 yes, although I may have the wrong size nuts. I called ARP and they are sending me the correct ones.

      @@josephmaldonado2521 I was planning on doing it that way, but the washer part of the nut is too wide in diameter and can't fit past the walls of the actual cylinder head itself. Not even taking the cams out would fix my issue because the washer part of the nut cant fit past the head to thread onto the studs.

      Did you get the correct nuts from arp?
