For your information, she done the recording at her own house. (Prayer room). She ask the composer to bring all the equipment to her house. She done it due to movement control order in Malaysia... all of the recordings just done by the composer alone with her. FYI, the composer also took the recording of this music lyric video. 😍😍😍

At the beginning of this video, many of us noticed that siti's tone is very low. it's called tarannum or Arabic melisma. If you're familiar with the Quran recitation, you'll know that she uses Tarannum Bayati at the beginning of her song in this video. She pays so much attention to details. Versatility. Check out Nancy Ajram and other Arabic singers. They too have the similar melisma/tone at the beginning of their song. p/s: this year is her 25th year in the industry.

The composer himself admitted, the song rendition supposedly based on the methods in Quran recitations called tarannum. It purposely starts with low register and develops to various other methods along the song. She kills it! And the lyricist is one of the best established lyricist in Malaysia, he is a compere working with tv station, TV3.

The lyrics was written by Fedtri Yahya. Fedtri is a tv celebrity, an emcee for many events including vip and national events. He wrote lovely lyrics for few singers and he is very well known as a very poetic lyricist so thats why you find the lyrics sound so mature. They have a very deep meaning and that's the symbol of Malay and Malaysian. We express our emotion in poetic way sometimes.. One of his best lyrics written is Samudera sang by Nora Ariffin. And of course Samudera is a worth to react for. Believe me. I will give you the link if I found any.

And the beautiful melody and music arrangement made by Hafiz Hamidun. I heard that he paid 14 string musician (overseas player) but they didn't made it due the covid-19 . So one of his friend from Kuwait played the string . There were more than 15 recording (coz 1 person cover for 14 player) to make the perfect layer of string sound . 😊. Sorry for my poor grammar. Still learn to speak in English.

8:45 in Malay songs it is known as lenggok. The Malay traditional songs are rich in this swaying, heaving and dynamic style because they have various traditional genres. Some of the genres are:
    1. Melayu Asli
    2. Zapin
    3. Ghazal
    4. Masri
    5. Dondang Sayang
    6. Nazam
    7. Dikir
    8. Joget
    9. Inang
However this Basyirah song is in Arabic style (not in Malay style).

The melisma or runs that u mentioned often used by Malaysian are actually part of traditional singing.. It could be said as basic runs in traditional music.. The Malay race covered few countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and little bit of Phillipines and we even have few words in common .. So dont get shocked if u came across some similar runs.. But malay tradition songs often influenced by arabic or indian runs and for this song, its fully influenced by arabic culture

Now I felt bad. I just want to say that Siti fans, or at least most of us wasnt disappointed with u, we were disappointed with other Siti fans giving an ok-ish performances for reaction, and it is just not on ur channel. Its happening everywhere, that kind of pisses me off a little bit. The thing about Siti is, if u go to her concert. Dont expect her to belt 24/7. She might belt on half of the song, the rest she just sing simple monotone kinda song. I think its a way for her to conserve her energy and maintain her voice, I believe that is one of her secret for her career longevity. Which is why, she has a lot of great performance and a lot of just ok performances too. As a fan I would hope that people would suggest the best of Siti, not just an average Siti.
Having said that do know that Siti fans really2 appreciate ur reaction of hers. 🥰🤗☺️.
Lastly, I must say I am quite disappointed because I thought u were going to react to Usah Diragui & Diari Hatimu. U even double confirm with me about the link. yes that is my previous comment on your previous reaction of Siti... for this Siti song it is written by other lyricist and composer. about 8.47 , that is malay melismas something what we call as "lenggok" and for this song, she did mention she applied ARABIC STYLE for this arrangement too. so it is a mixture of malay lenggok + arabic
Yeah Siti is a lyricist and composer too, she used to write a wedding song for herself

One thing about kak siti, she does not follow the trend. She is the one who initiate the trend. For your information, the recent trend in malaysia now is doing powerful ballad, but instead of doing the same thing, siti decided to do other type of music. And she keeps on making good musics. I believe this is her recipe of staying relevant in the industry.

Setuju, ramai org nak tiru dia nak cover lagu dia, lepas 1 lagu ke 1 lagu try nak beat or sama dengan atleast dgn tokti, tp tokti org yg suka cari kelainan dan apa yg dia rasakan baik bukan utk diri dia aje tp peminatnya dan org awam..mcm lagu terang bukan utk popular..technic dia bukan dia belajar kt sekolah music

Siti is 41 years young. She started singing professionally at the age of 16 after won a singing contest. So, she's been around the music industry for 20 years. It's take less than 12 months for her to climb to the top of the chart, she managed to stay there for the past 20 years. Meanwhile, many singers come and go, some of them been predicted able to kick her (Siti) from top spot, sorry to say, they all failed miserably. Maybe her 2 years old daughter Siti Aafiyah will replace her later... much much later 😂🤣😂😂. Siti is also a very successful businesswoman. She owned a clothing line business called CREACIONbySitiNurhaliza and also a cosmetic empire called SimplySiti. Her net worth for 2019/2020 is estimated 122 millions.
And the most important thing about Siti Nurhaliza (unknown to many) is Yayasan NurJiwa (NurJiwa Foundation) 👉 Siti Nurhaliza realized the social responsibility to be fill the needy. Being a humble down-to-earth person since day 1 in the industry, together with her husband, they established the YAYASAN NURJIWA on 21st August 2006. YAYASAN NURJIWA is currently active in helping people who in needs. Their objective are to help and improvise especially in MUSLIM religious development by building a MOSQUE, SURAU etc, helping orphans, helping earth disaster victims. Siti and NurJiwa Foundation is currently active funding and helping Malaysians and Malaysia Government against COVID-19.

Like you've been asked the melizma she used (8:43), let's say kind of riffs and runs or something similar. In Malaysia they called it lenggok melayu. In Indonesia we have our tradisional music called "dangdut" (only belongs to indonesia) , in dangdut music we called it "cengkok" and the dangdut singers can do it easily. But of course it's not that easy. That lenggok or cengkok also similar to arabian music or hindustani music. But still they have the differences. I'm sorry if my english is bad
