The opening credits theme has become one of my favorite show themes ever.
Agreed, never skip them, not for a single episode since S01E01.
I love this show so so much. Please find a way to come back for books 7-9! Duarte didn’t look like what I expected but the actor absolutely nailed it.
I was surprised by Duarte too. I thought he'd be older and a bit more pompous.

This is a really positive way of telling us they planned for more episodes this season, but the studio made them cram it into 6.
Yeah it’s total bullshit in my view. Especially as it’s the final season.
I'm 50 and The Expanse is in my top 3 of the best TV shows in my whole life. Incredible show.
It’s right there with Battlestar Galactica for me and GOT, season 8 notwithstanding.

Love the show and must say this podcast is really helpful and didactic about how the sausage is made. Ironically it does not diminish the drama of the show at all. Thanks to everyone involved and we all wish 7-8-9 can also materialize. But whatever, I can't wait to read Ty's (and Daniel's) next writing project. I'm sure you accumulated a ton of ideas over the time the books and series were made, either individually or together. Also I think Wes should move into direction. He is a natural at communicating a cinematographic vision.

Yeah, I'm one of those that got hooked by that Flip-n-Burn maneuver (and why that is now my nickname 😅)... Also just the overall attention of detail, like the dirt on the streets of Ceres, the graphics, visual effects in that first episode made it for me to continue watching and it only got better and more epic the more I (re-)watched it.
I'm so grateful for the whole team that's worked on *The Expanse.* You can tell it's been a very special experience for everyone involved.
Hearing the challenges due to shortening to 6 episodes and the social distanciation during the writing and the shooting and seeing the quality of the end product is pretty impressive. Job well done

I got some sort of Acespec vibe from Amos and Peaches in the books not sure which microlabel I would use though

Yup - someone mentioned the studio did that because the show is so expensive to produce.
That's the problem...the studio cares nothing about storytelling, just the bottom line in the financials.

well, marco would come from the same pure place of innocence, but he would have been oriented towards his path of offense long before he met naomi or had filip. He wouldn't have fully realized the kind of intention it would take to throw rocks until much later, but naomi would have met an already lost to war character when she met him, but he wouldn't have known, so she wouldn't have really known, they would have been in denial mechanically repeating belter woes and unrest but not fully developed into their characters until during the episodes. Every belter would yeah-yeah an asteroid attack for generations before marco's birth, but it wasn't until the option actually presented itself that marco would have fully became that kind of attacker, and had it never arose, and another path had been presented, as would anyone else he would have simply taken that path.
Love the term, "creative momemtum."

One of the most gruesome things we've done on the show... Ya, it's the third most gruesome thing you've done on the show.
When Michio, _portrayed by Vanessa Smythe_ said to Joseph, _portrayed by Samer Salem_ "Hey, I love you.I'm so sorry". Then proceeded to cut off his arm. I'm too manly, so I wasn't the one crying, you were.

My love for The Expanse is true.
My only disappointment is the level of denial or codependency in those that insist on seeing “true love” behind Marco’s relationship with his son. The lack of understanding of a truly toxic, abusive relationship is disheartening. Maybe “true love” was there once, but it’s been corroded all to hell by a clinically antisocial (read psychopathic) personality literally incapable of love. This denial, this codependency, is why abused ppl stay with their abusers: “I know they love me deep down. I just need to stick it out to find that love again.” These are the lies abused ppl tell themselves, not what’s really going on.
Duarte the actor who play this character is very good please not ending and finish book 7 and 9
The expanse is amazing but you can tell the difference in this season. Its sad that this amazing experience will end with a shorter and in some ways weaker season.
I do hope the last three books are adapted with this team.

You know, Amazon destroyed the best science fiction show ever. We voted to save the Expanse, but not to destroy, and It is extremely sad.
Yes I admit seasons 1-3 were very, very special. Not to detract from later work which is really good, but those first 3 will live on forever. Seen them all 4 times at least.
Disagree entirely. They saved it and continued to produce an amazing show. You obviously kept watching 'a destroyed' show.

When I heard it was just 6 episodes and the condensation would make it really action packed and fast paced I was pretty excited. But it's the same slow pace we're just losing episodes..

I only wished if the show would move forward faster as I’m afraid we will be left with many loose threads as we only have 2 episodes left and the pace is quite slow compared to previous seasons. The action with arm was completely unnecessary and if they cut the line between stations earlier they would not have to lift anything…
Amazon is ruining this series and WoT, NOT.. ENOUGH.. EPISODES.. they want earn easy money, so they won't spend it to make a better and complete version.
WoT is supposed to be getting like 15 seasons according to amazon, the expanse got cancelled they arent the same

No, the Expanse hasn't been cancelled as much as it has simply reached the end of the line. The six Seasons it received covered 2 of James SA Corey's trinity of Trilogies and the final Trilogy is both set 28 years after the second and doesn't connect with the previous two (at least, that's what I've heard, but I could be wrong).
@@firstditcheffort666 Don't think so, not 15 seasons but 15 books, amazon series will cover the 15 original books, the seasons of WoT it will be only 7 or 8, and this means a lot of cuts, check again
@@MrJordwalk yeah, I'm aware. The difference is that it got cancelled whereas WoT has been planned for many seasons due to its popularity. They've been told already they're doing 10 at least
@@firstditcheffort666 WOT is awful I was a show watcher only slow burn took me 3 x to get int it but it inspired me to read the books. WOT which I tried to love I can not even watch. Amazon is betting on the wrong ship
I wish they didn’t have the 6 episode limit. It would have been great to have a long final season whereby the season would have had 2 segments. In the first segment would be the stuff we’re seeing today. Then the second segment would have Teresa Duarte fleeing Laconia with the Roci crew. 7 episodes for the first segment, then another 7 episodes to conclude.

Wow i am disappointed big time !! they might as well left us hanging end of season 5 ~ Season 6 is a wreck and a joke seriously not to mention to dam short and thats what really wrecked it because their trying to cram everything into 6 episodes
