PLOT: The sixth and final season of The Expanse picks up with the solar system at war, as Marco Inaros and his Free Navy continue to launch devastating asteroid attacks on Earth and Mars. As the tensions of war and shared loss threaten to pull the crew of the Rocinante apart, Chrisjen Avasarala makes a bold move and sends former Martian Marine Bobbie Draper on a secret mission that could turn the tide of the conflict. Meanwhile, in the Belt, Drummer and what’s left of her family are on the run after betraying Marco. And on a distant planet beyond the Rings, a new power begins to rise.

Cara Gee's Drummer is imo, the best character of the series by far!

unpopular opinion: Maneo is the most memorable character from the whole series.
@@gmmonomotapa2889 yep my two picks! Amos is mysterious and crazy... Drummer is just intense, heroic and deep emotionally! She is so strait forward and yet complicated. But Amos is my favorite if I had to pick. He was so unpredictable.

These two were excellent casting choices for their characters. They really brought them to life on the screen in epic fashion.
It seems that almost everyone loves and respects each other immensely. You can tell by their constant playful joking. It's so refreshing to see.
At same time I am unable to recognise either personality (and partly appearance) in either.

Agreed. I really hope they both go on to feature in more shows/films.
Most of the parts were cast very well, the only one really not fitting her role is Naomi Nagata / Dominique Tipper.
It´s not like the actress does not try; she simply does not fit the character with her outgoing and emotional acting style.
The original Naomi would be more logic and eventually more intelligent than Holden.
A very level-headed, reserved woman with a tense presence, getting relaxed only with her friends, and even then being mostly the calm one.
Seldomly making jokes herself, but okay with situational comedy.
There was never any drama in the books with her, if she was under any stress, she got even quieter but the thoughts were racing.
In the first episodes, i could see Tipper tried it, but then simply made the role her own. Which made Naomi a troubled Drama Queen.
It's so "not Drummer" to hear someone who sounds and looks like Drummer, but she also doesn't sound and look exactly like Drummer. Cara Gee is an incredible actress to manage to pull off such a different persona when embodying Drummer.
It's how the character sounds, looks and carries herself on screen that makes the Drummer character.
I love how Cara is such a hardass in the show but off-screen she's such an adorable sweetheart.
Cara is hypnotizing when she's in character, she's just that good.
And Keon's character isn't given enough credit, he is killing it.
I think he's doing such a good job, everybody really hates him so they don't talk about how skilled he is and how he's really made Marcos into this arrogant, psychotic, sociopathic, selfish monster.
He's so *intensely* hateable playing Inaros. It really goes to show his skill as an actor, and a really great decision by the casting team.
@@ryllharu Keon is perfectly cast. His Marco brings out the same level of anger and righteous indignation in me as book Inaros but in a slightly different manner.
He's a perfectly nice guy, but when you see him in character it's like "what and absolute piece of shit !". I'm no expert but I don't think that's easy to do.
I hate marco so much, he's doing an amazing job
I'm deeply uneasy when I see Keon as Marco on screen. I want to follow him into battle, and at the same time I want to get as far away from him as possible and follow him nowhere. Keon does such a great job of making an extreme character believable and real. Marco Inaros voice is wound so tightly, I would've never guessed Alexander's natural voice is so relaxed and gentle.

It is always amusing to see Cara being interviewed. The way she morphs into the character of Drummer is testament to an actress of the highest quality. Keon has also been hugely impressive in his portrail of Marco, too. Indeed, as an ensemble the casting throughout this series has been extraordinary. This is sci-fi for adults
Whenever i finish this series, i start it over from the beginning. Its just that good, a masterclass in acting and storytelling. Hands down the best sci fi series.
I honestly couldn't tell you one actor that had screen time that didn't absolutely ACE their role, minor roles included!
This is because they’ve done a perfect job of making you feel you’re in the world, it’s so believable. I’ve watched it 6 times in the last 2 years it’s that good. And I’m not done!
That is how I do the books. Love the series, written or video. And enjoy the changes made to adapt it.

Not gonna lie the acting so far in season 6 has left me more than a little disappointed particularly the Inaros subplot. And Holden. He particularly seems like he's phoning it in. Even Cara did better and I have close to zero faith in child actors.
What blows my mind in the interview is how incredibly and vastly different and nice Keon and Cara are compared to Drummer and Marcos are in the series. Their characters are so intensely well played they are up there with Oscar worthy performances. The depth and complexity that they portray is simply amazing. By far my two favourite characters in a long, long time.
7th season in talks now.
Don’t let this series die Amazon Prime. This is the best and most important Sci-Fy event since The Matrix and Halo. You literally have an epic journey and whole universe on your hands here. Don’t squander it 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Completely agree about Shoreh. Avarsarala's ability to be very diplomatic one second and then cut someone down with a well placed f-bomb in the next breath was incredible. That and her deep, "smoker's voice " made her one the show's most intriguing characters.
Keon is killing it as Marco! His just like demeanor and way of interacting is exactly like I imagined him when reading the books. And of course words cannot express how good Cara is as Drummer!
Ha, yeah... when I was reading the books I was kind of doubting they could find anyone with the charisma and intensity to properly play Marco... and yet they did. And also, yes, I think Cara Gee gives possibly the best performance of anyone, which is really saying something, give how amazing the cast is.
@@shootthechit and his voice is pretty freakin dumb lol he sounds like christians bale's Batman but even worse, minus the mask and he talks like that through the whole show. i just came here to see what he normally sounds like

Right?! My respect for her has grown even more knowing she went directly to the source material for her role.
And she didn't have it as easy as most of the roles, considering that it kind of began as a cobbling together of other characters before it went off in a different direction in both the books and the series.
Camina Drummer IS an amazing character.
I'm already missing the show and it's not even over yet.. how sad is that lol.. Cara Gee and Keon Alexander are great in their roles, I don't know why but I just can't get enough of this show, and their two parts are some of the hardest to play with the belter lingo, it's fun to hear how they actually speak.

Masterpiece, it has to be renewed for a further 3 seasons. I will follow these writers and everything they do as long as they/I live.

@@CoffeeFiend1 Absolutely! I guess you need to accept that nothing can go on forever and be glad for the show we got but it is the only thing I watch. I am trying to watch other things but they just seem to infantile. What's amazing is how unknown the show is among the general public.

He is such a great villain. And Cara is just awesome … she clearly is a Belter :)
Cara Gee was this little known actress before Expanse, I remember watching her in Red Rover and thought she did well back when it came out but her Drummer acting is amazing and didn't even catch it was the same actress at first. She deserves success her acting chops is top shelf.
Expanse is perhaps the best serial Sci-Fi ever made, and Cara Gee, Keon Alexander, and all of the other primary cast members are superb in their acting and character portrayal. Gee and Chatham I think do the best of the best with their characters, but it is hard to stand out in a cast that is simply superlative. (And by the way, I watch this on an OLED TV, and this is one of the few shows out there that really make the merits of OLED stand out. When the lights are low, I feel like I am the movies. The producer here set a high benchmark for the cinemaphotography in a serial show.)
II gotta say, most of the main cast are getting on my nuts. Holden Naomi and Bobbie really feel miscasted

You are still n crack or have not seen many scifi shows. This was utter garbage although books were great but casts in this show killed it, disgraceful
I see little bits of Drummer right under the surface everyone Cara Gee changes her facial expression. Hats off to these two awesome job on those two characters.

The list of great actors and actresses seems to have no end. The Expanse was literally a gift of the gods.
Cara Gee, your talent as an actress was nothing short of amazing. These are not "celebrities". THESE ARE GREAT artists. Their acting performance was way high.

When drummer talks with Naomi in episode 6 that was hugely powerful best acting I’ve seen in years she is amazing

I always got an Alexander The Great vibe from Marco Inaros and Keon portrayed it perfectly!

It's strange to see Cara Gee not looking like she is about to stab someone. Such a feat to alter herself so completely in the role of Drummer. My favorite character for sure!

Shohreh is a master of her art; her profanity and emoting can be there own lessons on forceful and effortless delivery. Talk about making something look effortless which few (if anyone) can pull off.

I remember thinking while reading the books it would be nigh on impossible for anyone to pull off the role of Marco Inaros, because he's a character who basically gets all his power solely from his charisma - he's a fundamentally weak and selfish person, but still manages to get people to die for him by sheer force of will. Tough for any actual human being to pull that off. But Keon Alexander somehow managed it.
And of course Cara Gee's performance is one of the greatest in modern history.

Both of these actors KILLED IT in their roles. Inaros was scary and charismatic and loathsome. Drummer was also charismatic and we all loved watching her grow in leadership and philosophy.

I think there were so many great characters brought to life by some wonderful actors. Cara and Keon were amazing but I also liked Wes's deadpan portrayal of Amos, Thomas's portrayal of Miller and Cas made Alex someone I want as a friend, he was so charismatic.
How amazing, if you saw them acting and now in the interview - artists at it´s best! And how gorgeous Cara is 💓 So wonderful!

It's nice to watch these interviews. The show draws me in & makes me so tense it's kind of stressful and I f-ing hate Marco. Hearing them chat about it between episodes is a good decompress and makes me excited for the next one.

This is my first time seeing these actors be themselves off screen. It's so weird seeing them out of character. But that goes to show how much effort they put into the roles that they play.

The casting, like so many of the aspects of this show, is just incredible. Everyone seems to really love not just their characters but all the characters on the show, deep down to the psychological level too. Plus whole cast just seem to be legitimately good friends with everyone

Didn't know much about Keon nor do I believe I've seen him in anything prior to The Expanse but damn..... He seems very, very intelligent. It's also weird as fuck seeing Drummer smile and be girly. Kinda reminds me of Lena Headeys Cersei where she's really kind and affectionate off camera but soulless bitch on screen.
So fascinating how different their personalities are from their characters on the show. They are phenomenal actors and seem to have fun personalities.

Really like this interview. the both did such an epic job portraying their characters. Was fun seeing them outside of the story. Very interesting insights about their acting approaches. Will have to watch again and look for different accents in Marco's speech.

"The Expanse" has been one of the best sci-fiction shows of all time. Surprised me cause I didn't expect to like it. Didn't read the books, didn't know the story, and went into it thinking I wouldn't like it. Hope to read the books someday, and grateful for the show runners and all involved in making a great story. Episode 6 season 5 was brilliant, even if the show seems to be rushing the story along.

When looking at Marco one can just see a mad man but like great leaders through out history one must look through their eyes. One man’s terrorists is Another man’s freedom fighter. It all depends on who’s eyes your looking through.
