About The Expanse:
The disappearance of rich-girl-turned-political-activist Julie Mao links the lives of Ceres detective Joe Miller (Thomas Jane), accidental ship captain James Holden (Steven Strait) and U.N. politician Chrisjen Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo). Steven Strait has such a massive smile that it's hard to recognise him as Holden who never smiles. This cast looks like they love working with each other which explains why it's such a great show.
That Steven Strait is basically the team mom is adorable and makes me happy. It feels like this cast is really similar to Supernatural's, they all love each other, they love the fans, and they have fun on set.
The expanse has been renewed for season 5, I love Amazon.
Thank Bezos, he's a scifi junkie too.
Amos is such an amazing character and Wes nails it.
You're thinking, "big dumb violence prone thug" and then textbook perfect stoic philosophy comes out of his mouth and you realize that he's actually the furthest thing from being a psychopath. He's got a deeply intellectual framework for his acceptance of the lives of individuals including himself being totally irrelevant to the universe.
...and then he tempts his own death to save a child he has no goal based interest in saving... a completely selfless heroic act...
He stops Prax from shooting Strickland to prevent Prax from having to carry the burden of killing him...
"you're not that guy... you're not that guy."
Then as Strickland is thanking him, Amos announces, "I am that guy."
Before Strickland entirely understands his meaning, Amos shoots Strickland in the face, turns and walks out of the airlock, as though returning from taking the kitchen trash to the bin with zero fucks given.
This cast gives me life!
Post the whole panel, for crying out loud! Those of us who couldn't make it to SDCC need to know what happened there!

I absolutely love this cast, they have such a great chemistry both in the Expanse and irl.
Been watching Sci-fi shows for 35 years now. This is one of the best for sure. Maybe in top 2 with Battlestar Galactica. Well, there's also ST:NG. But you get my drift.

I want to see Wes Chatham in more things many more things. Things like the MCU for example because he looks like a superhero.

Amazon was like "Hey lori, here is a show that you might like." Me: Binge watches three seasons and then take my time to watch season 4 because I don't want it to be over X) lol!

My brain says when season 4 releases in December that I'll have the self control not to binge it as fast as i can - my brain is also a liar
I really hope more people finally watch this show now that its on Amazon. Its one of the best shows hands down in the last 10 years, yet no one really talks about it outside sci-fi circles. I think its in that same box of old Star Trek seasons, where maybe the show is too complicated for casual/non sci-fi fans.
I love the show. But I'll admit season 1 was pretty confusing. But it gets easier to watch in season 2 and 3.
This show made me optimistic about our future.

It’s a real pity we didn’t see anything like this this year as the whole thing was cancelled, but I hope we see some stuff later in 2020.
