a) how can you compare GoT with The Expanse? dude, what did you smoke??? the expanse has nothing to do with got lol. Also, GoT is a hyper mega overated show, far worst than people think, but the propaganda and the hype made it "good", when it isnt, it never was. People is just too blind sometimes. The opposite happened with the Expanse, and underrated show that is probably the best science fiction show that tv has produced in these past 5 years. Fortunately audience and fans came along and showed up that GOOD shows (GoT was NEVER ever a good show, just another one from the pile) need to be renewed.

After that is when the show started to go noticeably downhill in quality and towards overhype. Granted, there were still phenomenal episodes during the few "new material" seasons. @Drummer Boy I fully expect this show to surpass GoT in terms of scope.
@@dffndjdjd book 4 was pretty bad but the changes they make always make the show better so I'm confident that they'll make season 4 great too. nemesis games and babylons ashes were amazing so i can't wait to see those get adapted as well.
@@dffndjdjd From what I have heard, know, and understand, season 4 will be MOSTLY book, but there will be several storylines set up during season 4, that come from the epilogue of book 4, ALSO, the writers like to play around a bit, and insert characters who have no storyline in the book, but they find a way for them to be there, such as setting up for book 5....It happened a lot in season 1, and a bit in season 2. ...You have to remember, that the executive producers, are actually the writers of the series, under the name James S.A. Corey....It is two people, and they know what they have written in the books, and how they want it to appear on screen!!
this is one of the show that i discover by accident in Netflix few yrs back, and now I am actually sad that I had to pirate it to be able to see Season 4.
To already add season 5 means Amazon has faith in the series or Jeff Bazos really likes the show and wants it to continue. I tend to think it’s a combination of both either way looking forward to season 4 in December.😞Why must I wait that long?

Dude, they really did the PERFECT casting for this show! Wow man. I have read ALL the books, including the Novels, and they NAILED each and every one of them. Especially Miller and Aamos.
I like that. Kind of like the letterkenny people. They did their own thing, became successful, and hopefully, these platforms will create their own clout and awards platforms, free of the Hollywood bs.

I absolutely love how close they are, almost like the Roci crew they play. At least it certainly seems that way from interviews. Their dedication and love for their roles really shows, too. Actors of the highest caliber.
Apart from being involve with this show what warms my heart the most is how much the crew and actors get on and you know they will be friends for life. Things like that warm my heart and its always really sad when in your favourite shows people don't get on behind the scenes.
I love Frankie Adams on this show! I SO hope she gets lots of work after proving her acting on The Expanse. I’m afraid she might get typecast and that would be terrible. Go Frankie!

I absolutely adore this show. As soon as I finished season 4 (which I didn’t start watching until watching seasons 1-3 for the second time), I went back to season 1 and started again. It’s sufficiently complicated and deep that repeated viewings are always rewarding. A truly wonderful, amazing show with the best cast.
SOOOOOO EXCITING, first time seeing them all together getting interviewed. There are 9 books, can you imagine if they had 9 seasons. I’ve only watched the first 3 at least 6 times and each time new stuff pops up that I’ve missed prior.
Great to see Collider catching up with the rest of us. Hardly a mention of The Expanse over the 3 years it was running. All it took was Amazon taking over the show for them to finally notice.
I Absolutely Love The Show! The actors are great, the story-line, the incredible spaceships, special effects, and it's not lost on me the absolutely incredible detail to the sets which includes the interior and exteriors of the ships, the corridors and rooms &etc..! I Love It!
So glad to see show like The Expanse and The Last Kingdom getting the recognition that they deserve. These shows honestly deserve their continued existence to the fans, and the casts and crews of these respective shows recognize this and respect this and turn in truly awesome performances and stories to give the fans what they want. Because of this, these shows are becoming household talking points and being compared to shows like Game of Thrones, and rightfully so. In my opinions, both of these shows have surpassed Game of Thrones in both quality and quantity. That's unheard of, especially shows that were, essentially, indie shows on SYFY and the BBC which had very limited viewer ships. I hope we see many more seasons from this show because it's one of the best out there.
Thank goodness this was saved from a terrible contract that led to an awful decision by SiFy. Super happy to see this going for a fourth AND fifth season.

That's amazing. When I found out the book series was going to be 9 books I was worried that the series wouldn't be able to run 9 seasons, but after 5, 9 seems pretty doable!
Amazon's people are truly somethin' else, when I wrote them an email to save the series, I pretty much got a response immediately, and it wasn't the type of generic response I expected, there was compassion and appreciation in there, no doubt they have some really nice people working there in all the departments, I'm thankful that they actually understand the need for this show to go on until the end. Because with this kind of quality and dedication from everyone, it's no doubt worth it and I personally can't wait for new season! This one was kinda short, so maybe, if someone from the inner circle is actually reading this, try to throw in a bit more in there, 2-3 episodes more can make a huge difference if the crew can manage it, we all win either way though, keep The Expanse going now that it's saved!
Season 5 will be the biggest yet !!! Dark, exciting, intense and tragic!!!!!!!!!! I hope the cast, crew, directors and producers all know that we love and appreciate you! Thank you!

Remember when the first couple seasons of GOT came out and no one knew about it and then all of a sudden it blew up?!? That will be The Expanse. At first, I am curious about the plot story and then after I watched the 1st season, I immediately hooked up. I watched the 4 seasons in 3 days. Freaking love this show.
The show reminds me of old star trek. It has character development without the simple good guy / bad guy plot we see a lot of in media today. Its just a good show that is fun to watch. It has some real questions to ask and compelling ideas. The writers are doing a good job and the the cast is nailing it, especially Jared Harris!! The man is a absolute ringer with his acting. He shines on screen.
I just discovered this show about a week ago as I was thumbing thru my Amazon vid app and I’m already all caught up and awaiting season 5. It’s pretty addicting considering I’m not a big fan of sci-fi genre.
The best scifi series since Battlestar Galactica. I enjoyed watching "Lost in Space" and was looking for another scifi series and stumbled into this one and it blew my mind. Cannot wait for season 5!! Love these characters.

Star trek and Star Wars were the first generation of scifi that really got people in love with the genre and now its BSG and The Expanse imo.
